Played on 2/19 and the course was in decent shape considering the rain that had fallen for a couple days before hand. The ground wasn't soaked to the spot you couldn't find a dry spot except for a couple places, but that is to be expected. The major complaint would be that many of the tee boxes weren't level, but other that that the course looked good. I hadn't played there since it had the damage from the landslides and it recovered nicely from that. If you have never played DeBell it is a fun little course to practice the irons on as many holes don't require drivers of the tee. I will be back to play the course again, because for the price and the fact that it is out of all the city noise, it can be a fun day.

The course has been better. Still recovering from the canyon fires and flood damage. Greens were better than expected. Sand traps were good. Fairways were wet with some damage but understandable. Won't complain too much, golfing on your day off is great!

The course had some damage from mud slides as a result of the fires. Only one of the nines will be open this week, with the course reopening next weekend. You might want to call before heading up.

Well I was warned. Playing there only confirms it. Course has a great deal of potential but my honest opinion it missed the mark by a wide margin. In the rough you had three possibly four types of grass growing in splotches so it looked almost cancerous. Tees were most unlevel and oftentimes narrow. Greens were OK but could do with a little more work like placing the hole well away from the previous hole which in more than one occassion lay in the way of the new hole cut. Great for target golf as stated in review but that's where we will differ. Course could use a LOT of work and that is being kind. Layout was challenging but significant work on greens, fairway and tee-box would make the experience more enjoyable. Specifically smoother greens; fairway markers for distance shots and level tee boxes.

I hadn't played here since 1995. I forgot how nice the setting and views are. While the golf course itself is nothing special, the atmosphere is so atypical of Los Angeles, it is a nice change of pace. There are some interesting holes, and certainly takes a bit of local knowledge to score well here. I won't wait 10 more years to return. Despite a poor scoring day, a pleasant time was enjoyed.

Played twilight April 29th. Course is very challenging (I'm a 20 handicap). A lot of elevation changes on tees, fairway undulations, and undulating greens. You have to be accurate and hit fairways because most holes have narrow fairways and trouble to the left and right. Also, bring plenty of balls (I lost 5 during my round of 18). It is very much worth the greens fee and would recommend to anyone.
