Played out here this morning 5/21. Tee boxes are ok, fairways are thin, but ball sat up well, rough is usually thin but changes on the hole, greens were smooth, recently sanded, ran medium speed, bunkers were pretty good, a couple a little wet. Fun course, a lot of short weird holes with overhanging trees and muddy water. For under $20 its a good deal. Course was backed up on many of the par 3s, but still got around in under 5 hours.

Played today 3/30 for a rate I found online for$26 person. It's been a while since I have have played here and I was pleasanty surprised.
Greens-in really good shape with very little ball marks. Putts rolled very true. Speed was medium, not fast and not slow.
Fairways- good shape, not great, but good. Most divots were sand filled, so somebody is caring for them.
Bunkers- was only in one of them, and the sand was an odd consistency, I'm not sure if it was fluffy dirt or really fine sand. But the trap was very playable.
Pace- this s one area that the course could work on, 5:20 is slow for this short of a course. The first 6 holes were awesome, very minimal wait, but hole 7 had four groups on it, one on the green, three on the tee box. If groups were told to wave up the pace would pick up tremendously. We waved up the group behind us so that the pace would pick up for the groups later on, but the idea didn't catch on, the group behind us didn't wave. Up the group behind them. We tried.
Overall I will be back, just next time I will be expecting the slow pace.

Course was in Great condition... greens were nice although somewhat tricky... Some holes are more challenging than others, some are your basic up and down... Some greens are really difficult not only to read but to actually have your approach shot stay on... Have played this course a few times in the past month. Tee times before 8am and you can get a 4 hour round in (Saturdays) After 9 am, tell your wife you may be gone all day...

Pro shop is friendly, buy 4 beers get 2 free, so take a 6 pack out there with you...

Practice putting greens are in sublime shape...

Tee boxes are in good shape, fairways are cut nice, rough is not that much of a challenge.

Fun course, good price to ride/play 18...

Oh yeah and the HB weather makes for a gorgeous afternoon...

Course currently being run by Fore Golf based out of Florida. Course was surprisingly NOT busy considering it was a Sunday morning. Weather cooperated as it does here in California and we were treated to one of the fastest rounds of golf I ever had the privilege of playing on a Sunday -- 4 hours for a short course! Staff is top notch, very customer oriented -- I like that. Restaurant and banquet facilities look well cared for. Course favors irons and smart plays. Big bombers may not like the layout but it does offer its own set of challenges. Back 9 plays a lot more difficult compared to the front 9.

Now for the course conditions. Greens are rolling true a little fast/medium speed; had to hit just in front of the green because that ball would release for miles. Wicked breaks but nothing too difficult to master. Tee boxes were well maintained and flat. Fairways were lush. Sand in bunkers well stocked. We teed off at 828am, with no one in front. We quickly had a group following which we lost. We finally caught up to the group ahead after seven holes. Overall I am pleased with the golf conditions here, they were not what I was expecting and was pleasantly surprised at the level of service here. Would I come back here? Of course! Are you kidding me? We finished a round of golf on a weekend in just a little under 4 hours! Who wouldn't? Green fees were a little high for my taste but hey compared to other area golf courses priced higher ($45 to walk)... it's a deal for this weekend warrior.

I played this morning with some friends at 7 AM. We finished at 11. The staff was great and accommodating and while the course is short (5568 Blue) it is by no means an easy course. It seemed to me like playing two different courses. The front nine is flat but with small elevated greens. The back nine has elevation changes and larger greens. There are some very nice holes (# 7 Par 3 over water; # 9 Par 4 dogleg uphill; # 12 Par 3 uphill) that would be challenging on any golf course. And the mixture of the other holes, lends itself to an enjoyable and relaxing round of golf. Very easy course to walk. Very nice practice area (range/putting green) to get ready for your round. I also appreciated that the practice putting green was like the greens once you got out playing your round. So many of them are not. In my opinion, if you are looking for an enjoyable and fun round of golf, or a place to begin to improve your game before taking it to the longer courses, this would be the place.

Got out yesterday at 4PM for the 15 dollar special. What a deal. We putted out 18 in the dark.

Greens look healthy but ran pretty slow. I'd say probably a 7. The fairways are lush and the rough is healthy. This is the best I've seen at Meadowlark. Oh, and they trimmed down the tree on 1. That used to be a ridiculous hole.

Pace of play was busy because of the special. Poor etiquette as the three some in front of us became a 4 by 9th and became a 5 some on the 11th. They even had the nerve to told us to be patient and we'll finish...that's huntington beach for you.

Overall, good experience. It'll be better to have a marshall or two out. I saw people jumping holes like crazy.

Oh...I recommend wearing a helmet on 14....i swear everyone on 17 hits into you.

I teed off Monday, June 6, at about 11am of a beautiful Huntington Beach day. Course conditions were very good. Nice grass coverage in both the fairway and rough. Tee boxes were lush, but a little less than perfectly level on a couple tees. I missed the bunkers, but heard no complaints from my playing partners about the sand. The greens had been recently sanded (or fertilized), but they still rolled well at a decent speed. I like to play this course when my confidence needs a boost, as it is short, par 70, and has many birdie (or even eagle) opportunities. Meadowlark also seems to be embracing the local golf community with a friendly, beachy kind of atmosphere that encourages the locals to spend social time (and money) at the clubhouse. It seems like a pretty fun place to hang out ... I wish I lived closer.
