Played yesterday in nice 3 H POP. Nice and comfortable when we started but course was wet from overnight watering due to the coming heat. Fairways were good and green but no roll at all until late in the round when it began drying out. Bunkers had all been cleaned and where playable early AM. Greens had not been mowed and with the dampness they were slow all round. But they are in good shape. Still masks at check in and cart pickup (and one cart per player) but not on the course. Restaurant is still not open so only snack bar items. No beverage cart early AM either. Customer service was excellent at all levels. Driving range is now open. Still $60 for Sr rate so perhaps the Players Card is worth it, if you are playing here on a regular basis?

Out again today as first off. 2:45 POP. Today we found the course drier in many fairways and the roll out was terrific. Many of the greens were much faster as well. Overall that was the big difference today vs Tues. Much more enjoyable of a course playing under these conditions. Snack bar only food available. Masks at check in and around clubhouse only. Customer service excellent at all levels.

Played this AM . POP was 3 H. Found the course still very wet due to the warm days and expected heat. So no roll in the fairways but good lies. No tee box issues. Sand was playable at this time of day. Rough has been virtually eliminated. Still have to negotiate water, small canyons and dense OB. Greens were playable but not consistent all round. Very little bounce in them due to being wet. Customer service excellent at all levels.

Played today as first off in 2.5 H. Course is still in good shape and some aspects this week (fairways/greens) were in better shape than last time. No issues with any tee boxes. Fairways were not over watered and provided good lies and roll out. Traps were all clean and playable. Rough has been cut down so no issues. One still has many OB, small canyons and water to navigate during the round. Greens were in great shape and chipped/putted really well and with speed. And I never repaired one divot, other than my own. Customer service excellent at all levels. Only problem I have is Sr rate at $60 ($65 if you want lunch from snack bar) is high IMO. But that has thinned out the crowds, making it less crowded and easier to obtain times.

Played CH on 6/22 with a neighbor. 11:00 am tee time which is a little late for me to play but what the hec. Nice guys in the clubhouse and I see the price tag has increased to play here. $65 senior rate but does include lunch and a drink. Used to be $55 pre covid. Single carts are optional. Decided to do single carts and was paired up with a very nice husband and wife couple. Teed off right on time and finished in just under 4 hours. A little slower on the back as we waited on a slow group on the back nine. Not to mention helping my neighbor look for many of his errant shots. Lol

Overall, the course is on good shape. Fairways are in good shape but on the thin side. So expect to have some tight lies out there. Not dry, just thin. There was light rough just off of the fairway. Not thick at all. Bunkers were in good shape and without rakes, did my best to smooth them out with my feet and club.

The greens were in very good condition. Rolled very nicely and were holding.

A hilly course with many elevation changes from the tee boxes and plays relatively short. We played it from the blues which is only around 5,600 yards but target golf on some holes so driver not always needed but do keep it in play. As previous reviews indicate, they have these EZ lift thingys which weren’t working very well. Pull it up with your putter and the whole pin comes out with it. Useless. They need to be cleaned or something. Aside from that, we had a good time out there and would definitely recommend.

Played this AM. First out POP 3 H. Course was very wet. No doubt due to expected hot weather (waste of water) Fairways had more roll this week. Good lies throughout. Very little rough around the course. Enough OB, canyons, water to deal with. Traps were playable for those first out. Greens all in good shape (a few had verticut) just very damp from watering and overnight moisture (dried out as round progressed). Restaurant still closed. Snack bar open. Mask required at check in. 1 person per cart. Great customer service. Still $60 for Sr rate. Really like the E Z Lift device on each flagstick. More courses should use it.

First off this AM. Nice 3 H pace to finish before the heat set in. Found the fairways to have a little more roll out this week. Rough had also been cut down. Traps were clean and ready for play as an early group. Greens were very nice and had good speed for chipping/putting. Lot of water being put down for the coming heat wave. Restaurant still closed. Snack shack available. Driving range open. Excellent customer service as usual.

Played this AM in 3 H. Front 9 slow due to 2 players who jumped in front of our first off group and were SLOW. As they had not checked in with the starter, we had the marshal make them wait and let us through at the turn. We never saw them again and played the back 9 in great time. Course is not much different from last week in regard to conditions. Today it was very wet as they were putting a lot of water on the course, in anticipation of a few hot days. The system they are using for the cups is called E Z lift (This touchless ball retrieval solution is a Cool Golf Thing | Golf ...www.golfadvisor.com › articles › cool-golf-things-ez-li...) and it is really a nice idea. Customer service excellent at all levels. The driving range is now open. They need to lower the Sr rate IMO. We passed that on to management today.

First off this morning 3 H POP. I first noticed that the fairways have some "golden" grass in most of them. So either water is not reaching, or the hot weather is setting in on the grass? Today it did not hamper lies, but who knows as summer creeps in? Tee boxes were all fine. Very little rough but enough OB, small canyons and water to make up for that. Fairways did provide good lies and roll all round. Bunkers were all clean and playable. Felt bad being in one w/o a rake. Greens were just fine. Chipped/putted well and held shots very nicely. The have installed a J device that you lift with your putter to take ball out of cup. Nice touch as it does not affect the ball at all and you can let the ball go into the cup vs other strange arrangements on various courses. Range is still closed. Snack bar food to go only. Bring your own water/beverage. Masks in and around pro shop. OK to remove on the course. Customer service excellent at all levels. Still think the Sr price is too high IMO.
