My threesome played June 9th... we liked the layout and had a great time. We had a foursome ahead of us and a twosome behind us but the pace of play was fine. Marshall was active but gentle and staff are great. Best beer and snack prices in the area. Greens and Sandtraps are in decent shape but the Tee Boxes are pretty chewed up and fairways need some work (many brown spots and lots of divot damage).
I'm lucky to have 4 golf clubs within 3 miles of my home (Escena, Cimarron, Desert Princess and Tahquitz Creek). The course conditions at Tahquitz aren't up to par with the others (especially Escena) but I still had a very enjoyable day of golf.

Decent course, especially for the price ($20 at noon on a saturday in june), but if you're out in the desert for a weekend and want to play a destination-type course, this is not it. Bascially a very nice muni, but that's it. Very forgiving, wide fairways. I should note that I didn't play back 9, which is supposed to be nicer than the front 9. I'd probably play again, but wouldn't be that excited about it.

Excellent course. A resort type layout golf course. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens, were in excellent condition. A great practice facility. Driving range on grass, chipping area, and several putting greens. A very fun track. A pretty course with great maintenance, beautiful flowers, and water on several holes. Proper ball placement comes into play on several holes. The course will still be forgiving enough to let it rip at times. Several sets of tees for all ability levels. One of the best in the desert. The customer service was excellent. Marshalls were very nice and professional. I would play here any day.

Played on a Sunday morning 6:30 on July 30th. Course was wide open, not too hot, as it was so early. Very good fairways and tees but the greens were just recovering from aeration, slow but playable.... Continue »

Played on a Sunday morning 6:30 on July 30th. Course was wide open, not too hot, as it was so early. Very good fairways and tees but the greens were just recovering from aeration, slow but playable. Interesting course with mountain views, but not outstanding. Well worth the reduced summer rate of around $40.

The resort was is great shape. The greens were a bit slow. Started at 6:30 on Sunday morning and was off the course at 10:00 before the heat.
