I was a little concerned after reading the review from chevelle, but decided to play here anyway. Garry, the starter got me out first off, so pace was never an issue. Yeah, they over seeded most all of the blue tees, which forced me back to the blacks, but otherwise I have nothing really too critical to say. Some bare spots in the fairways, a few bunkers needed some attention, but overall, fairly decent condition. The greens were not great, but certainly puttable. Enjoy playing here because the staff is almost always accommodating in allowing me to get off first thing. As a senior, the price is OK, and I really enjoy the views and peaceful setting. Plus there are a number of fun holes on the course !

Played today Fri Oct 30th 738 tee time. Was informed by the starter that the red and white tees were together on the tee boxes, which meant the course was to play short. In fact on 1 or 2 holes all the tees were together, black, blue, white and red. Don't know why they do this but does not seem right, especially with a cost of $49. I mean come on the last hole a par 5 listed at 411 from the whites and it was playing 379. Really? A par 5 at 379 and I know there is water so a lay up for most, but really? If the course is under maintenance show some class like Los Serranos did and charge $25. Speaking of conditions, tee boxes were so so, along with the fairways. Rough was long several places, was in 1 trap and sand was good. Greens were not, maybe still recovering maybe not, sandy in some spots and bumpy. Again if this was the tail end of punching, show some class and reduce price. IMHO was definitely not worth the price.

Played today, 10-12-15. I played with my friend Vicki (Sydney703). We had a voucher for $79/2 players with replay. We started at 9am, finishing the first round in 4.5 hrs. The second round only took 3.5 hrs. The fairways were not too bad, mostly green with a few brown areas. The bunkers varied, cleaner and softer the closer to the greens. Some of the far away fairway bunkers were pretty much concrete w/ weeks growing out if it. The rough was really inconsistent ranging from long to deep spongy stuff that swallowed balls. The greens, recently seeded, were soft and slow. They would have looked great if not for all the ball marks. I just don't understand why players don't fix them...

Played this course for the first time with my golf buddy and we both broke 80 from the back tees- Don't get me wrong that is not saying that this course is a push over!! By no means, but you will need to be accurate off of the tee box, as there is trouble out there for you. The front nine more that the back. The front nine is more in the hills than the back. The greens are not as fast as they look-lots of grain to deal with!! I lost a lot of birdie opportunities for this reason. The closing par 5 18th is a fun hole to play. From the tee box it is pretty intimidating looking, but just use a fair way wood and stay to the left side and will need another fairway wood for your approach or lay-up shot as well. Good tee shot is key to birdie or par here!!

Beautiful views and a mix of Hidden Valley and Bear Mtn. Now for the complaints! This course is hard core at posting signs and constant (and I mean constant) reminders on the GPS screen about pace of play! They say 4.5 hours for a round. It took us 5.5! There was a 5some ahead on a Saturday! The groups behind us almost ended up in a fight as far as we could determine because the one group hitting into the other and my guess would be frustration with the slow pace! You can't keep telling people to play at pace then crowd the course and do nothing to keep the pace up. I will play here again since I have an under par deal still to use and hope things go smoother!

Played on Labor Day at 7:30am, called in as a single and they matched me with a threesome pretty quickly. The course is in fair condition, there's not much rough to speak of and the fairways are very firm, probably due to the persistent drought. Greens are a little on the slow side, but they're consistent and are basically pretty smooth. There are a few greens with new sod growing in, but as the previous posters mentioned this is mostly on the edges and not really in play. POP was around 4.5 hrs, which on a holiday weekend was just fine (still too slow for my preference, but that seems to be the norm nowadays). The layout of this course is pretty fun. It's not exactly target golf, but it's not wide open either. There's a good mixture of demanding and easier holes that keep your interest. It's a short course, but the greens will keep you honest as many of them are sloped into the mountain, causing confusing reads. While Eagle Glen isn't quite in the Oak Quarry category, it's a good mountain course with great rates (I payed $57), good customer service, fantastic views, and good enough condition to leave you feeling glad you came out. Almost forgot, carts have GPS that's pretty good and gives you a good layout of the hole. Definitely helpful on a number of holes to see where you should be aiming.

Only thing I would add to previous review is to do with maintenance on most of the greens.

Several had areas of resodding (around 10-15 sq ft per green affected) mainly around the edges but on one or two occasions right in the center (#15, e.g.). Other issues were some hex plug repairs (minimal) and some reseeding/sandy spots affecting patches of green here and there. Again, these were generally on the margins of affected putting surfaces but on a couple of occasions more in the middle of the green. Sometimes these same maintenance areas were located on the fringes or encroached into them. Just an FYI.

Sand traps crusty and rock-filled too.

Played today 7:50 tee time, got out at 7:30, 4hr15min POP.
Course is in very good condition in spite of the drought, had a ball go right side of fairway ended up next to what looked, and sounded like a pump. I assume they have wells or maybe reclaimed water. A few brownish areas but not bad.

Tees were reasonably flat with only a few un-sanded divots. fairways had some good roll, rough was brutal (for me), grabbed the club on some shots, any shots that came down on the rough stuck with no bounce or roll (Keep it in the short stuff"). Greens were on the slow side, looked a bit shaggy probably to protect them from the high heat days. Bunkers had decent sand, one was a bit thin.

Customer service was great from desk to starter to 19th hole, great green fee deal $37 senior rate. 19th hole was another deal - for 4 guys order the 4 street tacos, and the chicken quesadilla, one taco+slice of ques is perfect ending with good cold beer. We will be going back in a few weeks.

Played here 7/22 Shot an 84.. my first time playing here... Front 9 is definitely tougher than the back.. Fun lay out definitely will play here again.

Customer service was great.. from the pro shop guy, to the starter, to the guy that came and swapped out our car because we got a flat tire. They had a solid deal were we got a free sleeve of proVs.

Course was in fairly decent shape.. I am assuming because of the drought that is going on, a lot of the courses are being more conservative.. which i totally understand and accept why some conditions are what they are. The greens were rolling pretty decent even though they did cut slits on them to let some of the moisture out. I enjoyed my round POP was pretty good until the back but it still wasn't terribly slow. Will be coming back
