Played Tues dec 18th at 716, check in always friendly, was told we were starting on #10 today and because I am probably OCD it took my brain a hole or 2 to adjust. We were a walking 4 some following a riding 4 some and POP was good at 335. Had issues with the greens last week with grass shavings left on the greens, NO issues this week, course and greens were great.

Played Tues dec 11th at 733, check in friendly as usual, cold morning, we were a 4 some walking, POP was 348, we have done better but waited a little on the front 9, pace picked up on back nine, course was in real good shape except for the greens, they were nice grass, not many ball marks, but I am "assuming" something happened to the mover because there were grass shavings all over the greens, this was picked up by the ball and really affected the speed and break, this is very unusual for goose, we will be back next Tuesday and hopefully it will be better.

Played the Goose with my monthly group at 10am on Saturday morning, 12/1/18, on a cool sunny day with very little wind, a couple days after SoCal got some pretty good rain. We played lift/clean/place, but really didn’t need to as the course absorbed the rain very well and was in great condition, as usual. Greens and surrounds were pretty firm and chips and pitches could run out. Greens rolled pretty smoothly at medium+ speed. Tees were in good shape; I wasn’t in any sand. Fairway lies were good, although a few holes had not been mowed and lies there were a little hairy. Rough was generally good, starting out pretty wet from rain/condensation but drying out as the day went on. Saw the cart girl a few times, and marshals frequently. Course was pretty busy Saturday morning and POP wound up being 5 hours.

Played after a good amount of rain the day before and the course was in great shape. Greens were a bit bumpy but that's to be expected. Tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. Overall the course was fun and good. Our tee time was 11:48 AM and we finished at 4:45 PM. 5 hour rounds are just no fun nor should they be acceptable but for some reason So Cal courses have put the bar so low by using the 4.5 your round as their "suggested pace of play" that when one complains about pace of play they talk about being on schedule and stuff that makes it worse. Five hour rounds aren't fun no matter what. Slow play sucks........

Played Monday 8/19 teeing off at 7:50 and finishing in 3.5 hours. Traffic Warning: On weekday early mornings driving north on the 15 traffic will likely slow shortly north of the 91 due to heavy freeway construction. The last 2 drives from Orange County have taken about 15 extra minutes than normal. Back to the course. The greens were in good condition. They rolled smooth with medium/fast speed and had a little roll out on mid to long shots. The fairways were in mostly great condition. A few areas were a little thin but still provided decent lies. The rough was mostly good with a few thin spots. The bunkers early in the morning are fairly wet and a bit compacted but playable and well groomed. The tee boxes are good, mostly level, with a few thin spots.

Goose is a fun track to play that is challenging without beating the golfer up. The condition are typically good or better. My experience with the staff has always been pleasant.

Played Tues Nov 20th at 656, 3 some walking, pretty much agree with last review, we must have been the group in front of him, check in great, starter was very friendly, it was a cold damp morning but jackets off by hole 5. marshal checked on us a few times and asked if we were doing good he was friendly, we were following a 4 some 2 walking and 2 riding and pushed them a touch, guys behind us really never saw until 16, We were a walking 3 some and POP was 345, the course is in really great shape. This is a great time to play here, right after the major maintenance. Will be back in December

Got out this morning at 7 and the course was damp but green. Never had a bad lie in the fairway and the rough was not real hard to get out of. The bunker I was in had nice sand and I did get up and down. Marshall was a fun guy. We had a good conversation on the first tee and then on #10. Round was just under 4 hours walking and we are headed back next week. Still one of the best courses in the Inland Empire.

played her nov.18th and the course is still really nice and i was warned by others that the course can be a bit slow so we came prepared for a longer day. What we were not prepared for was the out of control marshall patrolling the place bullying people . This guy that looks like an ex linebacker from the NFL spent from hole 6 thru 18 harassing the crap out of us. Now im the first to admit we are not PGA pros and shoot between 80 and 100 for our group but we play every other week , always from the white tees , give each other lots of putts and pick up after double par is reached ( almost never happens ) After waiting on the tees for the first 6 holes and having a bad 7th hole the marshall told us we MUST play best ball and when i showed him we were a hole ahead of the threesome behind us he got argumentative and shadowed us around complaining about everything we did. To be fair i did drive on the fairway on a longer par three to try and save time finding a ball and the dude came unglued.
not being a complete pussy at that point i demanded he back off and we had a screaming match that lasted 5 minutes . We did end up finishing a full hole ahead of the group in front in less than 4 1\2 hours . Ive spoken to some buddies that live out ther and they swear the guy is always a menace and bully . Im not sure why goose creek allows this guy to ruin folks day on the course but i guess you folks should know if your considering this wonderful course , we wont be back

Played Tues Nov 6th at 7:26 got there at 7 and there was like 3 cars in the parking lot and I think they were the employees. Club house said "cart path only " scared away people. Check in was very fast and very very friendly as always. We left a single walker go in front of us and we teed off early. It was very overcast and walking down the first fairway was quiet. It felt like we were playing Christmas day, all alone. We were told by the front desk that the greens were a little slow and definitely found that on the first hole, but they were all consistent. The course was in perfet condition, tee boxes fairways just really good. POP was 3:18 great day......
