This course is in great shape. You can tell it is a desert course like the Palm Springs area and everything was green and the greens were all consistent in speed. The one thing that also stood out was the fact they too had lots of sand in their bunkers and it was better to be in one of them instead of the thick rough. I just wish it was closer.

Everything lush and green, greens rolling medium speed, sand nice, soft and plenty of it. I only got in one that was a little damp but they all looked great. Minimal ball marks and only had to fix a few all day. Coots and ducks were out in full force tearing up some of the edges around the water and some bombs left on the tee boxes but for how many there were they weren't leaving much where we were playing. Layout is always extremely enjoyable with a good mixture of holes. Get out and play Soboba now! I will be back soon.

Customer Service: Great Tee boxes: great Fairways: great (few GUR spot) Greens: great, fast and pure, very few ball marks. Soft, held shots well Has to be one of the best conditioned courses in the IE this time a year. The price can not be beat, GN for $26, its an absolute steel.. go play this course, ill be back soon.

Played here Sat Feb 1 @ 11:28. Customer service here has always been good and continues to be. Tee boxes are level and lush. The tee position was farther back than normal making the course a tad longer. Fairways were lush for the most part except for those near the lakes. The coots are keeping the grass on these holes very low...upside you get more roll off your drive. I was in a few bunkers (fairway and green side) I can attest that the are in very good condition. Full of fluffy sand. Rough is 3"-5" but not overly penal. Greens here are amazingly smooth, fast and putt true...a couple of sucker pin locations. Pace of play was a little slow @ 4 1/2 hrs. If you're on your way for a play n' stay in Palm Springs or just in the area, do your self a favor and try this track out.

Played Soboba this morning at 8:45 on 1/17. Course is in nice shape. Tee boxes are great. Fairways are good, they have a major coot infestation right now so they have eaten some of the grass causing thinning in the fairways and rough, still not bad. Greens were very nice, rolling medium fast and also holding shots very well. Pace of play was great as it usually is here. Definitely recommend getting out there if you live within range.

Played 12-15. Had a 8:16 tee time and we got out about 15 minutes late. First tee was a little backed up,not sure if there was a frost delay. We where behind a slow foursome and the round ended up being close to 5 hours.
The course is on very nice shape for the middle of winter. Tee boxes nice and mostly level never had a hard time finding a spot to tee it up.Fairways are very green and lush.
Bunkers had plenty of soft sand but several were wet in the bottom.
The greens were fast! If you were above the hole, look out.
The only negative today was that the coots are back, lots of them. Shoes were covered with green crap and they will impact the fairways soon if they keep eating all of the new growth.
This is the third time I have played here and I have enjoyed it every time. I will be back, especially with the $40 senior rate.

Course is in great shape from tee to green. Fairways are lush and green. Rough is a bit long and very thick, if you're in it the dead leaves make finding your ball very difficult. The greens were smooth and held great. The pace of place was good until a group held us up with two open holes ahead of them! Where are the marshals at nowadays??? The staff and starter are always friendly here and this course has some great scenery. Love to play here any time of the year and worth the green fees.

played sat 11-16-13 in the morning. some drizzle, and cool temp. but we were prepared. we teed off ten minutes late because of internet double bookings. staff was excellent in handling the situation. They got everyone moving smoothly. this is how a golf course should be run.
the course is awesome. I love the lay out and only wish they would let you play the tournament tees, the ones that the nationwide used to play.
greens fast (even with the drizzle)
bunkers perfect
rough 2 - 3 inches
fairways awesome (like carpet)
pop - 4 hrs.
Staff should get a raise for being nice and professional.

I played this course on Sunday, 9/9, teeing off at 8:00 am on a $30 deal found on Golfnow.com.

First off, this course is really way out there. I don't mind driving to play a course, but it's kind of a weird route to get here so just know that more than likely, the drive is going to take a bit.

I decided to try this course because they have recently hosted a Nationwide Tour event and I always find it interesting to play courses that the pros play. I felt that this course was really an interesting layout, challenging and a lot of fun. The strange thing though is that it's almost completely flat. Save for two Par 4's back to back on the back 9 (12 and 13?) with slight elevation changes, this course is flat as a pancake. What makes it interesting is the large amount of mature trees which play a huge part in the course, the strategic and difficult bunkering approach, and the large amount of water and hazards you have to deal with.

As for the condition of the course, I'd say it is slightly above average to good at this time. I have to believe that any deficiencies would be attributed to the crazy heat we've been having, because there were a lot of condition issues that were fantastic. For instance, the greens were extremely soft. They rolled well and were medium speed, but I think they had to keep them a little longer and wet so they wouldn't get burned. I actually had a three wood land on the green and check back a foot. Crazy.

I paid $30 for this round and thought the value is incredible. I would go play that course again in a heartbeat. I never got bored with the layout, the staff and service were great, they have some quality craft beer in cans at good prices (always a plus) and the pace of play was pretty good (there was one slow group holding a few foursomes up). We saw the marshalls a few times and they did what they could.

I would love to play this course again when the weather cools down and they are able to let the greens firm up and the course really shine. That being said, I wouldn't hesitate to go out and play it again right away, I thought it was a fun place to play golf.
