It was my first time playing the course. It was very beautiful and visually intimidating. It was a very cold and drizzling morning which made it even more challenging. The course have golf carts with a great GPS on them, but with the delicate seeding of the fairways, more than half of the holes was cart path only. It was virtually impossible to figure out your exact distance because the course didn't have many sprinklers with yardage on them.

I would love to play this course again when I can have full use of the golf cart and not have to bring tons of clubs with me on most of my shots. I absolutely loved the layout. Just wished I played better.

The views from #6 tee box are amazing!! The #18 green is crazy!!

I played this course as part of a charity golf tournament on 9/19. This was my first time playing the course and we had a great time. The course was in really great condition, consider they are planning to close the course for reseeding next week. Usually courses are in horrible condition right before this, but Journey was in great condition.
Service- Great and top class
Greens- Perfect condition, grass cut tight and it was running anywhere from 11-12.5
Fairways- Mostly green and only a few brown spots in a few fairways
Bunkers- looked great
Rough- pretty uniform and not terribly long

Pros- Front 9 has spectacular layout and view, great GPS system on cart, great practice facility
Cons- Wind really picked up at around 1pm and may it really difficult to play, rack rate is pretty pricey

Since it was a charity event, my company took care of the green fee, otherwise, I don't know if I would be able to afford the rack rate. Would probably place this course again if I could get it for around $100

I don't think it's worth $200.00, but we paid $112.00 with an online deal, so we were ok with that. I would play again, but at a cheaper rate (less than $100.00). That's at least what i think it's worth. Top course in Inland Empire without a doubt, just a little pricey.

Definitely a course you need to play more than once to save yourself shots. I enjoyed it very much, and hope to play again with some semblance of a game next time.

Played at 1PM on Saturday, 4/9/11, at an ‘aeration special’ price of $85, normally $200. Aeration had taken place 10 days before and greens were fairly soft and held shots, but still rolled well and were very quick, especially away from the hills toward the creek. We were told they were usually much quicker, which frankly would be scary. Course plays along a creekbed and then up into the adjacent foothills, with very attractive rolling fairways, large oak woodlands, and rock promontories. Some spectacular views of nearby hills and the Temecula Valley. Make sure you hit a ball from the ‘Ray Guy’ tees on the 6th hole, with a loooonnng drop to the fairway below. Many holes have very large, deep greens (50+ yards), but many are very narrow, putting a premium on accurate approach lines. Fairways and greens fairly soft after recent rains, rough very lush, including knee high wildflowers and areas where your ball was immediately lost. Sand damp and firm but very playable. Wind was a significant factor, swirling around the highlands adjacent to the course, and always seeming to be in your face on the par 5s! Highly recommended.

Played 36 on 3/14. Course is near perfect right now, however, I believe there is some maintenance scheduled for week of 3/24. Best fairways and greens I have played on in a long time. Hit the fairway and you are assured of a perfect lie. Greens are firm but will hold well struck irons, if you can get a decent amount of spin on the ball. Greens are olling great, but clubhouse said are slightly slower than usual. They said current is 10.5 > 11, and can get up to 13 on stimp. These greens do have a lot of grain, but is easy to recognize. I think the grain influenced roll as much as the Temecula Valley. Spectacular views on front and back, good variety of holes, and well designed. You will use a variety of clubs from the tee. Best clubhouse / pro shop/ locker room / bar anywhere. Friendly staff. Only complaint was problems with GPS. Had to change carts on 2nd hole in first round, and not working at all in second round. Staff was quick to respond to our 1st round cart issue, I didn't ask for help the second time around, and struggled a bit with yardages. Fairway yardage markers a little tough to find. Find a special, for best rate, there are a few out there. I initially thought course was priced too high (at) 150$, but it almost seems reasonable when compared to other courses in this price range. Enjoy it, play early if possible to avoid afternoon wind.

Incredible facility! From when you arrive in the parking lot to when you leave, everything is well taken care of by the entire staff. The only thing that I can complain about was the white bread instead of sour dough that I asked for in my turkey sandwich at the turn.

The practice area is well-worth an early arrival before your tee time, because of of the beauty, set-up and variety for all parts of one's game. The driving range is gorgeous and even has a gentleman cleaning your clubs after each use! The sand and chipping area is very well kept but not overly large. The putting green is right by the 1st tee and the starter is right there giving you the low-down on the course for first timers.

The course is a thing of beauty with conditions that are top-notch across the board. Greens, sand, fairways, tee boxes and rough were all close to perfect. Expect at least several three-putts on these greens because of the undulations, speed and size, but not due to poor conditions (because there aren't any!). Playing this course is a treat but can be very difficult because of one's lack of knowledge about each hole. My first wish was I would like another shot at it having seen the entire course and its forced carries, blind shots and 'best places to hit it' knowledge.

I was treated to the round which made it even better, but couldn't afford it on a regular or even irregular basis. It was definitely worth every penny, -I just wish it took fewer pennies to play!

I played this course on 3/4 with SCGA Outing. I've heard many nice things about the course, but to see and play it in person, it was an experience that did not disappoint. As soon as we drove into the parking lot, we were met with the staff who took our tagged and took our bags. Club house and the restaurant was equal to many high-end resorts, and the practice area was in one of the best shape I have seen anywhere - only thing was the driving range is a bit far needing a shuttle ride and with shotgun start, shuttle was somewhat infrequent but understandable given 90 people needing a ride. The course was in an imaculate shape with very challeging holes spread along the hillside. Most fairways are relatively tight needing accurate drives to avoid the water and barrancas. I really enjoyed several Native American cultural displays throughout the course with historical narratives given on the cart as you get to each holes. My only issue was that there were more than enough coots and ducks on some of the fairways, and I had tough time finding a spot to lay down my clubs without touching the droppings - they need some natural predators + few greens with what I thought was needless troughs in the middle of the green that didn't serve whole lot of purpose. Otherwise, it is a great course with beauful backdrops and hilltop views, especially if you can play it at less than their normal green fees which can be prohibitive for some.
