One of my very favorite courses! Played this morning. Staff as usual was outstanding, from the guy that picked up our clubs on the parking lot, to the guy at the desk. Course was in very good shape, tee boxes were in decent shape with minimal divots, fairways were green carpets, on occasional unsanded divots, the bunkers varied from good sand to mix sand/dirt couple were firm. The rough was punishing but not overly brutal. Greens were med fast with a few ball marks (tournament went out about 1/2 hour after we did and we caught up the last group so things slowed up the last 4-5 holes. Managed to finish in just over 4 hrs.

I see there is an alert for aeration coming up at end of month, best to go play it now. Good discount with Birdie Card.

Always one of my very favorite courses! The staff was great as usual, and the overall condition of the course was good, not great, but good! Greenside bunkers were a bit "crusty", otherwise no complaints. Difficult not to enjoy yourself playing this course, and making a 2 on #14 just made it all the sweeter.

Played on 10/1 (hot as hell) AM. Started out as a twosome but got backed up and ended up picking up another twosome. Still finished in 4.5hrs.
The course was in pretty good condition considering the heat. They will be overseeding at the end of this month.
Tee boxes: Felt as if the blues were moved back further than when I played it previously. All were leveled
Fairways: As lush as can be in 100 degree weather. Hardly any brown spots. Very nice. A tad muddy on a couple of the fairways, but otherwise, really nice.
Rough: Not terribly thick and in good condition.
Sand: PRobably the worst part of the course. Hard in the ones that I was in.
Green: They had mowed it pretty low from the last time I played it. Rolling faster than avg. Showing signs of wear and tear from a previous tournament that was played.

Overall, the course was in really good condition.

Played Sunday 9/23 just before twilight. We had 4 groups out with LA Golf Group and the course was very accommodating to us. Super fast round on a Sunday probably due to Football, we finished in close to 4 hours all groups. Fantastic course conditions right now, fairways are super lush with great lies, tee boxes are level and perfect to hit from. Greens are nice smooth with very few pitch marks. Got a little bumpy in the afternoon but overall good. The layout is the outstanding with amazing vistas and interesting holes. A true gem, cant wait to go back.

I always enjoy coming out to this course and I was happy to see good conditions overall. It was a hot afternoon round and the soft greens were a little beat down with some spike marks. Maybe somebody up ahead did not know how to walk on a green. The practice area looked a little beat with some well-divotized hitting areas at the range and wet, compacted, thin sand in the practice bunker. The course was in great shape overall with better sand in the bunkers, level and lush tees, and real decent lies throughout the course. The customer service was good as we had four groups and they got us out early on their twilight rate. All groups finished at four hours or less and that made me real happy.

Played out here with the LA Golf Group and we had a good time as always. It's been many years since I played out at Oak Quarry and it was well worth the wait. Such a fun, beautiful and unique course and clearly one of the best SoCal has to offer. I thought the $65 twilight rate seemed a bit steep, but the course was worth every penny today.

The course was in excellent shape all around. The fairways were green and lush. So many perfect fluffy lies I was loving it. The rough was nice, though there were some thin spots here and there (mostly as you got closer to the environmental/hazard areas, which is to be expected). The greens were very nice, running at medium speeds, but very receptive on approaches. They did get a bit bumpy from spike marks as the day went on, but that's nothing too surprising for the late afternoon here. I was in a number of sand traps. The one fairway bunker I was in was super crunchy, but that was ideal for a long bunker shot. The greenside bunkers I was in were nice and soft enough to get clear of the deep faces most of them have.

Even though it was hot out there today, I had a blast on this gem of a course. Next time it won't be so long in between rounds!

Played this morning at 7:00 and finished in just under 4 1/2 hours. The course is in excellent condition, the fairways are green and lush, the rough is full and the sand traps are in good condition. The greens are soft and hold shots well and roll smoothly but are a bit on the slow side. If you figure out the speed they putt very nicely. As always the customer service is great. I always enjoy the challenge, layout and views at this course. They won't be aerating and overseeding until November so enjoy the great condition the course is in.

Played 9/13/12. Overall good condition. Fairways almost perfect, lush and green. Greens on the other hand, were too similar to the fairways. Very slow, which I think is common here, but on this day, hairy and bumpy. I assume they might keep them on the longer side to limit exposure from the heat, but need to be smoothed out some. Bunkers good, much better than in past, a couple were very deep sand. Tee boxes good, and excellent customer service from the moment you hit the parking lot. One of the most unique layouts in So Cal. Enjoy.
