Played Sun 9-1. Haven't been back in a bit, place still is in the same shape I left it.......nice...especially since the heat has just been non-stop out here in the IE. Greens were just great...I believe they are bent, but I may be off on that...really pure. Fairways are in good shape..tee boxes were pretty beat up however. As always Cottonwoods were really a pain when looking for your ball. Great design by Desmond Muirhead ( designer of Muirfield Village.) Good enough for a Nationwide Tour event a few years back. Great price at only $25. Phenomenal views of the mtns as a nice backdrop on the back nine. Worth the drive out from the city if you need a new view.

Played 8/22 this morning at 7am. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all fantastic. A few ball marks here and there but not bad. Rough and sand were good. Only complaint would be that the tee markers were all set forward at least one tee box, sometimes two, without fail. Why have a back tee for a hole thats supposed to be 570 if youre putting your back marker at the 510 box? Put the markers on the boxes theyre supposed to be at according to the card and let the players decide what tees they want to play.

Played 8/22/13, conditions are excellent! Pace of play was a little slow due to a group ahead, but only waited more than a minute on 2 holes. Sand is a little heavy (wet below the surface layer) but consistent and plenty of it. Greens were wonderful, very few ball marks, faster than they look. With regard to 1runnner’s comment about the tee boxes, the back tees are the “Pro” tees used for the (former) Nationwide Tour events and they are rarely (if ever) used for anything else. The next set are the “Gold” tees used for other tournaments. The Black tees are actually the 3rd set of tees and were pretty much where they were supposed to be (possible exceptions being #s 14 & 15). If you haven’t played here, this is one of the BEST values in SoCal. If this course was in Orange or LA County, it would be at least double the cost and busy every day. Definitely worth the drive if you live anywhere nearby.

Only a couple complaints.. some greens had lots of ball marks (witch I help fix) and grass was a little on the tall side on some tee boxes, other than that it was great!

Played today at 3:00. In high 90s at that time but temp started to drop and wind kicked up so it was very pleasant. The $27 green fee after 2:00 was very, very pleasant.

Played today at 3:00. In high 90s at that time but temp started to drop and wind kicked up so it was very pleasant. The $27 green fee after 2:00 was very, very pleasant.

Haven't played here in n early 10 years and found that the previous reviews were right on target. Lots of different type holes - carries over water, sharp doglegs, awkward placement of trees near greens, heavily bunkered and wide open green areas. Only thing that I didn't like was that par 3s are very short, from combos they were less than 130 yards and the other was 150 yards. As mentioned in another review, the sand inh the traps is very crusty - looks like they are not raked as part of maintenance. Sand is OK but a ahrd shells forms, probably due to the winds and heat.

Until 8/7 Gilman Road will be closed - detour adds about 10 minutes to the drive, clearly marked. Be careful when you leave however you need to go back through the detour - but not signed at the club.

This has got to be the best shape course I have seen in a long time. I play Goose Creek quite often and Oak Quarry but this course would put them to shame. Greens were perfect, (could not find any ball marks) in 2 bunkers and both had nice sand. Every lie in the fairway was like carpet. If this course was in Orange County they would be able to charge twice the fee and it would still be worth it. It may be a long drive but well worth the time. Just beautiful

Played 7/12.2013. Had never played here before - its a long drive from Corona but I rationalized it thinking, when I play local courses, I often meet golfers who come all the way from Orange County and beyond, so who am I to complain of the drive?
Well, its an old fashioned tree-lined course that has been upgraded. It has an excellent clubhouse and associated facilities and the beer was cool and the food tasty and inexpensive. The driving range was closed, so can't review that. Price was great - $30.00 senior with cart. To get that rate I probably spent $18.00 on gas - hmmmm. But my only real complaint was the sand traps. There are plenty of them and my ball found several. All had a crusty layer of hardened sand on the top which could have been easily broken with some raking. I think the sprinklers had wetted them and then the sun had baked the surface. This meant that your wedge was likely to skip off the surface instead of penetrating. So long distance shots could be accomplished OK but blasting out was anyone's guess.
Anyway, overall excellent golf course to be recommended and I will play again. Have read today that Gilman Springs Road will have major road works for the next year or two - that might be worth checking on before you drive all the way here to play.

Played 7/13 at 11:36, $26 through golfnow. A steal. The course was fairly empty, pace of play was not an issue. No beverage cart, which was a bummer since it was quite hot out...however, there were cold water stations every few holes. For how hot it's been lately, the course is in outstanding condition. The tees are all level, with some being quite damaged, but there's always an unspoiled area to tee off from. Fairways are near perfect with only a few burned out patches. Rough is short but thick and sticky. The bunkers looked nice, however I was not in one and can't verify exact condition. The greens were smooth, fast, and held shots wonderfully. Top notch all around for sure...if you can handle hot weather then Soboba should be on your list right now.
