Played The Country Club Soboba Springs on 1/7/13. Course is in excellent condition. Very little wind today so getting the right club was pretty easy if you trusted the yardage. Had a 9:12 tee-time but due to frost delay got out 30 minutes late on a shotgun start. Fairways were mowed tight with good lies throughout the course. Really had to watch the flight though due to the amount of falling leaves on numerous fairways. Greens were in excellent condition, very little to no ball marks and were rolling at 11. My only concern for the greens here are the number on those funky black little COUT birds, little droppings everywhere. Bunkers through out the course had plenty of soft white sand and were well maintained. Staff today seemed a little bit overrun with the frost delay as two visiting men's clubs were holding events. Ground keepers were on the ball though, had several riding mowers out sucking up the leaves. Its a great course with that hint of private atmosphere at really good prices 40.00. It is well worth the drive, 68 miles for me put this one on your play list and make a point of getting out to it.

I live in the Palm Springs area and drove out to Sobaba (1 hour drive) to play Soboba on Friday with a buddy. Soboba does everything right and this course has similar conditions as Coachella Valley resort courses at less than half the price.

Soboba has a very strong layout and challenging greens that are fast and in immaculate shape. Kudos to the groundkeeping crew and members who keep this course in such great shape.

This area received heavy rains on Thursday and it was still raining early Friday morning but the sun came out just as we tee'd off. I was amazed at how well the course drained...we encountered only one fairway that had standing water. I was also amazed at how fast and tricky the greens were after the rain.

You really can't ask for better conditions for $40. Tee boxes are level with little damage, bunkers are well maintained with quality sand, the carts have GPS, and Soboba has friendly staff and outstanding facilities.

I highly recommend Soboba...this is one of my favorite courses in the entire Inland Empire.

Teed off 9am Tuesday 11/20 finishing in 4 hours. First time playing here since the Soboba Tribe renovated the course. The 150 mile round trip was worth it. The course is in great condition tee to green. The greens are smooth and fast and hold shots well. The layout is enjoyable with water in play on several holes. The club house they built is quit an upgrade from the old one. The staff was friendly. Rare to find course conditions and facilities this nice for a $40 (includes cart) weekday winter rate.

Played on Saturday morning. Our group arrived late but the starter was very kind and got us out with no problem a few minutes later. He had mentioned that it rained pretty good the night before but you would never know it by the course conditions which were all around EXCELLENT. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, and greens were all d%mn near perfect with the exception of one green which had some fungus but it didn't affect the roll much. Fairways still had some good roll in them considering the rain the night before. Greens held shots nicely and were smooth and rolling at a consistent medium speed from green to green. Bunkers have nice fluffy sand. The perfect amount too. We played the gold tees at a little over 7,000 yards but for some reason it never feels like it plays quite that long here. The wind was down which helps a lot, # 15 comes to mind. As wdement and shelbylo mentioned, this is the time to come out and play. There's not a better deal to found anywhere right now. $45 for a course of this magnitude can't be beat. Food and drinks were great as always, and the casino down the street helps cap off the perfect day!

90* with carts today, easy & enjoyable 4 hours round with lots of activity.
Fairways growing in and running long, rough is lush with sensible length of under 2", greens are fantastic - smooth, quick and holding shots like a dart with no bare spots and minimal ball marks.
The fun layout can be challenging from any tee you choose.
Great staff provide good customer service, nice prac-fac and superb grill/bar area. Saw the drinks cart three times; marshal wasn't required today due to good golfer discipline. GPS carts.
Best deal in town; highly recommended. 8/10

Played here Friday 10/26. After being closed for 3 weeks for over seeding, this place is in great shape. Pace of play was pretty good...4hrs despite being cart path only.
Tee boxes are level and lush. Fairways are lush with descent roll. The bunkers have fresh fluffy sand. Greens are fast and smooth. I have to hand it to the greenskeepers, they have done a remarkable job.

It has been a while since I last played this course (2 wks after the Nationwide Event) and boy has it changed (compare this to my initial review). However the value was great ($30 w/cart) and Oak Valley was closed.
Service: No cart boy, check in was great. Practice range is closed on MWF until 7:30am.
Tee box: Half were in great shape, the other half seemed to be pretty tore up. Some were level while others could use some work.
Fairways: Probably the best part of the course. Lots of burn out areas but other wise in pretty decent shape.
Rough: Not as long as when they had it for the Nationwide. But not in the greatest shape. Lots of dirt patches
Sand: Fair. Pretty inconsistent. Some were being worked on (#10) and had grasses and weeds growing in it.
Greens: Pretty bad shape. Lots of unrepaired divots. Mix of weeds/different grass type growing on some of the greens. The greens were sticky (probably why there were lots of unrepaired divots) so you could really attack them.

Overall, it was a decent day. You can't beat it for the price. Will definitely return during the spring.

Played 8-25-12 and boy is this course beautiful. It was 35 for a round and cart on a sat at 10am thats amazing. he Course was in Almost PGA conditions hence why they play PGA nationwide tour events there. The only down side was the tee box markers need to be moved so they can fix the present divots. The sand which is almost powder like in the few time i played before was more compact today weird. I recommend this course always.

Played this morning at the Nationwide Tour's Southern California home.Its in pretty good shape for this time of year.Tees and fairways are in wonderful shape with no signs of bare spots.A couple of greens were showing some damage from heat or some other source but all in all were in pretty good condition.
