Played here 6/12. With one exception, the course is in excellent shape, greens medium-fast and rolling true. The exception was the bunkers, they looked good but once you got about an inch down it was fairly wet and more packed than you'd expect from that type of sand.

All tees were WAY forward, blues were essentially the usual whites (and even some of those would have been the short white placement). Ended up hitting more fairway woods off tees than drivers. Don't know if that was a one-time thing or an attempt to keep pace of play under control (see below).

The course is currently running a GREAT summer special, weekdays after 10:00 it's $35 for unlimited golf, plus a hot dog and soda. Pace of play was fairly good, we teed off about 9:25 and finished about 1:20. However, with the volume of players I'd expect given the special that could change later in the day.

Played here on 6/14 with a friend of mine. It was a great day to play Saboba. The course is in great shape from tee to green. Pace of Play, well lets just say it doesn't get any better!

Played today at 11:00, $45 through golfnow. Round was just shy of 5 hours, but didn't feel slow. Conditions are tip top throughout the course. Nice, level tee boxes without a lot of damage, carpet-like fairways, a couple cuts of rough (first cut is easy to play from, primary rough is thick and evil), great white-sand bunkers, and smooth, quick greens with very few ball marks. You can hardly tell the greens were punched a few weeks ago, they are just about totally healed and a joy to roll putts on. It's a bit of a drive to get here, but 100% worth it. There's great food in the bar/restaurant too, they have a $6.50/plate special during happy hour. Try the bison sliders, I'm glad I did. Seal of approval: Check!

This is my home course. The word is out on the conditions and rate, due in part to reviews posted on GK, it's getting a lot of play. However, the pace of play is a very reasonable 4.5 hrs. I played Soboba Friday afternoon. Frank (the starter) let us know they verticut the greens in preparation for the Pepsi tour event this Sunday and the greens were running 10-11 with the goal of 12-13 for the event. The greens surface was next to perfect. The pin placements were some of the toughest I've seen. Conditions of the fairways is equal to the greens. Beautifully manicured and lush green. Rough is a bit long, especially around the greens due to the tour event...easily 5-6". Sand was firm looking but fluffy again, near perfect. Tee boxes level, well manicured and lush. Never knowing what the end score will be when rating a course, I would hope I scored it a 9.2. As I set in the outdoor seating area next to the bar, I looked out onto this beautiful course very thankful it is in my backyard. I hope someday that GK will host an event here.

Played Soboba on Monday 3/18, could not be more pleased with the condition of the course, among the best in the IE I have played this winter. Did an over nighter in Palm Springs, I checked prices there, but for me there was no choice, Palm Springs is so over priced. From the I10 freeway, Soboba is just about 20 minutes south of Beaumont and about $25-60 less than comparable courses in PS. Excellent value! We paid $30 for our twilight round and headed to the range($5). Can not remember the last time I hit balls off a grass range, that actually had a nice patch of grass to hit from, well done. We started a little ahead of our T time. Black for me(126 slope) T's: level and lush, no complaints. The starter said they had just had or were preparing for a collegiate tourny and greens were rolling 11-11.5 on the stimp meter. Greens:They defenitely were quick and smooth, impressive as I have noticed that IE courses are begining to slow from the blossoming Poa. Fairways: Top two I have played this winter. Sand: Beautiful white sand, I thought the sand felt firm when I walked on and dug in, Wrong! plays soft and led to a misplay. If I had my choice, this sand is what I would play out of every round. Cart girl came around more than twice, Diet Pepsi: $1. Coots: about the only negative thing to say bout the course, moderate flock size, plenty of crap next to the lakes, but not much, if any on the greens. Biggest effect was esthetic, fencing around some of the lakes. I use stereotyping all the time, all it means to me is it is more likely than not to be true until proven wrong, I am not PC and don't appologize for this. I get a kick out of it when I am wrong though. Example: on the T ahead of us were two males, two females well into their 60's. Man this is going to be a slow round, I sighed. Never saw them again until the 10th hole, when they slowed to order drinks from the cart girl. Then pow, zip they were gone again! POP: 4.5 hours, should have been less if we kept up. Highly reccomend.

My first time to play this course, and I was please with the condition of the course and staff members. The course is lay out great for all levels of players. The green fees are a terrific value for a great round of golf. I would highly recommend Soba to my golf buddies. Thanks again.

Played Soboba today the day after the rains and it seems like many others had the same idea. Tee time 10:24 but first ball wasn't in the air until 11:00. Cart Path Only all day. Tees- Flat and mostly lush with ample coverage. Fairways- Green but could be lush in some spots and thin in others mostly due to coot damage Rough- Thick and even around 3". Balls actually tended to sit on top of the grass leaving a lot of flyer lies. Bunkers- Firm as to be expected after the rains but no standing water whatsoever. Great to spin it from. Greens- Definitely not the usual Soboba quality. Very bumpy and slow today. My guess would be that due to the heavy rain they received yesterday they chose not to cut them and it showed. Misc- POP was a long 5 hrs + 15 min today. Usually it's 4.25 hrs or less here. Marshalls did their best to speed up play but the course was just packed today. Never saw any gaps on any holes. One of my favorite courses and layouts. I'll cut them some slack due to the rains yesterday as I know they take pride in the presentation and course conditions. As always, one of the best deals anywhere to be found and I'll be back Customer Service/Facilities- Check in went smooth and gentleman behind the counter was friendly as was the very gregarious and helpful starter. Beautiful all grass range and ample short game areas. Pro shop, restaurant, bar, and snack are all very nice and well stocked.

Played The Country Club at Soboba Springs today with GK member sr129. What a terrific day on the course with great weather. Staff was friendly and right on the ball. Practice range is in great condition with well marked distances. Practice greens were smooth and rolled true. Now for the course,
This is one of the best winter condition courses around, fairways had amble green grass and perfect lies, no browning of dormant grass here. Rough was visible and about 2-3 inches and played well. The leaf problem from early in the winter is gone so finding your ball in the fairway or first cut was simple and quick.
The sand is some of the best around in South Counties, fluffy white marble ground with a 3-5 base, what a joy to play from, and really were able to play the shot you wanted great spin or release. The Greens were top notch, very few ball marks and little to no ball marks left to be repaired. Today the Greens were slick rolling at 11 and really taking the breaks that you read or didn't read.

The only downer today, or any other day that you play here are those crappy black COOTS, leaving their mess on a few of the water hole Fairways and Greens. This is a fun challenging course where you can use all your shots not just a grip it and rip it course. Get out and play here a great course with good sight lines and just a blast to play.

Got there about 30 minutes early and hit a small bucket to warm up. Nice grass range and good putting green to get the feel for the greens.
Tee boxes are decent with good coverage and always a nice spot to tee it up.
The fairways are what you would expect for this time of year. A little thin but no real bare spots.
The rough is a few inches deep and the ball can settle down in some spots.
The bunkers have lots of very soft sand.
Greens are in very nice shape with a few ball marks but not too many. Good speed and consistent.
My only real complaint is the coots and what they leave behind! All of the holes along the water are covered with poop. They really need to do something about this.
Overall a very nice round and I will be going back
