I like this course quite a bit and the greens were in great shape, BUT the POP is RIDICULOUS!!! There is no way it should take 5 1/2 to play golf, especially when teeing off in the late morning on a Friday. I have had this experience too many times here, and I am not sure why it is such a problem here.

Course is in about as nice condition as I have seen it in recent years. Maybe because I actually made a few putts, greens seemed to roll very true. Wasn't in any bunkers, but they looked good!

While I didn't play particularly well, still had a great time. Funny, I was never a big fan of the north course, but over the past several years, I find myself more fond of this course than the south. (Maybe due to the less distance I now hit the ball?)

Pleasant surprise was the pace for are GK match, it has been slower at times in the morning, when I have played here, pace was under 4 hours. 1RudeDog and I had the place to ourselves, almost. Played on Monday 3/16, as a solo walker without a reservation. Teed off at 12:00PM, taking advantage of twilight rate, further reduced due to recent greens aerification. Check-in was pleasant, and I was able to utilize driving range to warm up prior to the round - hit off matts, but range balls were of good quality. Spent a few minutes on practice green to hone the putting stroke. This was my first round at either of the Los Serranos courses in maybe 15 years, and much has changed since my last visit. According to the starter, about 3000 diseased/dead eucalyptus trees were removed from the property, resulting in a much more "open" look to the courses. There was also much more bunkering than I remember, which better "framed" the appropriate landing areas, and guarded many greens - very picturesque. In general, the place looked spectacular, and it seemed a great bargain to play this course for only $24. Tee boxes were clean and level, with good grass coverage, cut just right. Tee positions had been moved from the weekend, and it was obvious that the weekend's divots had been filled and repaired. Fairways were in fine shape, and balls sat up nicely, and rolled out well. There were some areas of muddy and/or bare ground (mostly near bunkers), but they were generally marked as ground under repair. Rough varied from lush to some bare spots, but wasn't generally penal, except for the area left of fairway on hole 15. Bunkers were all recently raked and a bit "crusty" but easily playable (I was in a fairway bunker and a greenside bunker - got par both times), though there were unraked footprints and shot marks evident (with ample rakes around every bunker). Interesting to note that the bunkers on North Course all had brown sand, while those on South Course had new white sand. Greens had been punched on 3/1 and 3/2, and were still in the process of healing. Even in this condition, the greens were actually quite good - visually appealing, without any bare spots or discoloration, though just a bit shaggy. The greens easily held well hit shots, and rolled true at medium to slow speeds. In another couple weeks, these greens should be fantastic! POP was just under 4 hours. While on the course, I did not encounter any marshals, nor see any drink cart service. However, with snack bar locations convenient to holes 7, 13 and 16, and ample water coolers at various tee boxes, refreshments were available as needed. All personnel encountered were courteous and friendly This course is definitely back in my rotation, and should be given consideration by any who want to play in the Inland Empire.

I walked this course...and it is a tough but walkable course...always great conditions here , just took over 5 hours to play which is unacceptable anywhere. greens were great as usual and running fast! stay below the hole! sand traps were inconsistant....fairways were lush and nice. like the south better but don't pass up the north!

We waited on almost every hole for the last group of a senior skins tournament. I have given up all hope that the pace of play problem in this country will be solved. But, I did get exercise, was with friends, and it was a nice day.

Played 2-5-15 on a replay for $15 with cart on there express card. Much different pace then my first round, joined by a twosome we waited on every hole finishing in 5 hours. Tee boxes were in good sha... Continue »

Played 2-5-15 on a replay for $15 with cart on there express card. Much different pace then my first round, joined by a twosome we waited on every hole finishing in 5 hours. Tee boxes were in good shape , level with plenty of coverage. Fairways were a little thin and dry but still had good lies. Rough is about the same as fairways with some areas of hard pan but mostly under trees. Found four bunkers this round two fairway and two greenside. Fairway bunkers were thin ( which I like) and easy to hit from. Unfortunately greenside bunkers were similar to fairway bunkers. Greens had medium speed and a little bumpy which was manly do to playing later in the day. Overall south was in a little better shape then the north.

Played in the tournament yesterday. Their greens roll fast and true. Greens are in best conditions in years I play this course and thy are as good as those at private golf courses.

Michael Miranda, the Tourn Director, is awesome and he made our event memorable. If you decided to play there, do join their express card club for excellent benefits including four free rounds and 10 small bucket of range balls. Not bad for $59 fee for the express card.

Played Los Serranos North on 1/6/15. Had a 9:30 time and pretty much got out on time. Pace of play was good. Waited a little on the group ahead but nothing to ruin our round. Not much to add from what the previous golfer/reviewer indicated. A lot of dry spots on the fairway but the greens were great. Very slick particularly on downhill putts. Wind kicked up as we finished but all is all it was a great day. Definitely coming back. Walked the course for $25 (weekday, walking senior rate with the Los Serranos "Express Membership". Great staff in the clubhouse.
