Quite a deal, at only $42.00 per person. We started early in the morning, so the fairways were full of dew, but that did not slow us a bit. Overall, the entire course was in excellent condition, but the greens were especially pristine (is that correct Eengleesh?), bit well, and rolled true. For this time of year I felt the fairways were in excellent condition. Overall, another good experience at RiverWalk, Mission and Friars.

Played Presidio/Mission in the fog (first 6 holes), got around in just over 4 hours. Greens were pretty good and on the fast side. Bunkers were very good, rough kinda there, the fairways were a bit spotty with divots, hardpan and semi uneven coverage, but playable. The tee boxes here need some work but again are playable. The staff was very efficient this morning, they had teams with radios relaying the all clear on the first hole due to the thick fog. Riverwalk is not an overly challenging track but it has it's moments and spots that you really need to think, especially with some of the pin placements!
Overall if you get a decent price (I paid $49 off their web site) it's a good deal and centrally located here in the metro SD area.

Played Presidio/Mission this morning. Course is in good shape. Greens r pretty quick & true (not alot of ball marks). Fairways r good for the most part (tight). They overseeded the rough so its looking better. Worth the $34 for early morning play.

Played the "Walk" this morning. It was cold (41) and a bit wet, but heated up and dried out by the 8th hole. 6:45 tee time and there were people there, but no mayhem, pretty organized. POP 4:15, price $45 w/cart, off their website. Staff was very friendly, snack cart came by at least twice a nine, course was in pretty good shape. Tee boxes were a bit worn, but hey as I say you're using a TEE! Fairways were decent, always had a decent lie. Rough was minimal, but there. Bunkers were full of mostly fluffy white sand (the kind I love . . . not hardpan!) Greens were receptive and rolling fast a nice. I fixed my share of ball marks (as I always do), but ball marks weren't bad at all.
The course looked good and played good, what more could you ask for?

We played on Christmas Day, something I'd never done in my life. The staff was cordial, the course was in excellent condition, with a noticeable difference in the greens from any other time I'd played it within the past year. Most times, the greens are full of divot marks, but this morning they were clear and smooth. Greens were holding very well, even though that could not be attributed to water--at least that day.

Although I've always played it in the morning in times past, I'd expect the number of ball marks on the greens to have been similar. They had us drive the carts only on the fairways, not on the rough, as they had just sodded a large number of weak rough areas and wanted us to avoid driving on that new sod.

All in all, a great experience, with a big compliment to the staff for the quality of the greens.

Played today but had to cut it short. I feel like like th round would have been in the 4 3/4 range which was fine. Tee Boxes were mostly great with some seeding and top sanding on some. The most important thing though is they are level. Fairways have some dead spots and a little hard pan. Not too much but it's there. Rough was healthy and decent. Some bare spots. Greens were great and were rolling fast and true. Lots of tricky putts here. Enjoyed the day for the most part. The service was pleasant and attentive.

I thought the Tee boxes, Greens and Fairways were all in great shape. The rough still needs some time as there were scattered dirt patches everywhere. I fortunately didn't find any sand the entire round but no one else seemed to complain so they must have been alright.

First time playing this course. Played with my dad and another father-son twosome. Had a 1:03pm tee time for the Presidio-Mission layout. The staff here was a little unorganized and didn't always explain everything that needed to be explained without being asked first. Not terrible, just not completely together. Greens were in good condition and were fairly quick. Fairways were a little thin and had some bare spots but nothing too bad and were playable. Tee boxes had some divot damage and weren't always great to look at but they were all playable as well. Sand traps fairly good although one or two were a little damp. All in all a really nice layout, especially for the $35 rate we got through the course website. POP was bout 4.75 hours but only because the group in front of us was playing slow and putting like they were playing for big money. I definitely recommend this course, especially if you can find a deal like I did.
