Great day, slow pace as lots of weekend warriors looking for their lost balls. Views are spectacular, plan to spend 5-6 hours here and enjoy the day and the view. Course is in very good shape, on par with anything close by in either SB or Ventura counties. The $60 with cart Saturday rate for "tri-county" residents is a deal considering the neigborhood and the views of the islands. If you have not been here before it's well worth the drivwe from western LA or Ventura county. The course is a little tricked out with a few gimmicky holes, most notably was a super short, severely downhill 300 yd par four. Small green heavily bunkered in front, how can you not take a swing at it? Anyway they have a rock "path" crossing the front of the traps and have it signed as a "Frog Crossing". Where are the frogs crossing to, and who taught the frogs to stay on the path? Anyway, great staff, great facility (Seems to missing a resort type hotel) and great value at $60-enjoy

Played on 4/15. With so many great courses around Simi and Moorpark, I don't really think it was worth the drive. The greens were still recovering from aeration and were the slowest I've played in a long time - other courses (i.e. River Ridge) also do deep punches and play bumpy, but they don't get that slow. It was difficult to hit 5 foot putts like a 10 foot putt. A few holes were very blind and would like to play those over a few times (course knowledge would be a big asset). Wouldn't make a special trip to play again, but if I happen to be in the area, I certainly feel it's worth the green fee.

The greens are nice and the conditions are great but the lack of good holes (both distance and creativity) make this a 5 out of a 10. The range is a joke so dont go to practice.

A little rain earlier in the week made this course even greener than before. Greens were in great shape and the fairways for the most part were too. A great place to play!

fun layout, some course knowledge is good. They just overseeded all of the rough, so put it this way, if you are in the rough you can hit about 7 irons out of it. The greens are nice, be below the hole. There are two risk reward holes, 4 and 14, you can cut alot off of both with big drives. All putts break toward the ocean, if it looks straight it will break to the ocean just a bit. Overall alot of fun, not really long but it puts a premium on accuracy.
