Tees all mowed, cleaned up and no trouble finding a good spot for the tee.

All greens and fairways mowed and devoid of moisture. So fast roll out and greens IMO rolling at 12. I even had a few putts roll back after reaching the flag from were some diabolical greenskeeper place the flags for the tournament.

Traps were in great shape and so very playable. Wish more courses would prepare their traps like they do here.

Rough was about2 an inch long and no fun at all to play out of.

Terrific customer service from all staff encountered.

Easily one of the best public courses you can find in either N or S CA.

Highly recommended if you are coming through the area and have time to play a round.

Played this morning. 1st off and POP was no issue. Beautiful golf morning.

The course at the moment is in fantastic shape. Mowers out early and had the place nice and clean.

Tee boxes all playable. Fairways are lush and had great roll out and lies all round.

Rough was damp and not too friendly early AM.

Traps had been cleaned and were in perfect playing condition after the weekend.

Greens were in top shape. Add in the size of them, combine that with being mowed, the speed they were at (at least 10 or higher) and you have a challenging putting round of golf. These greens will either make you a better putter or display all your faults with the putter.

Customer service from all employees great.

Had a coffee and breakfast burrito after the round and both hit the spot. Bella Vista Bistro is a top notch little place and the happy hour is fantastic.

Golf in N CA is really really great.

Played last evening for a twilight round. POP was great at 3.5H. Course is in great shape in all areas at the moment. Nice clean level tee boxes. Clean fairways providing good lies and great roll out. Traps all playable though others still don't wish to rake them. Maybe we should install cameras like at stop signs. No raking gets you a fine when you finish. Greens are wonderful. Getting better at finding landing areas to emliminate LONG putts as well as 3 putts. But they chip/putt great on every hole. Rough is plentiful on this course and will take its toll if you are in it to often. Great service in the pro shop, carts, marshals and the grill. A real wonderful golf course to be so close to and reasonably priced as well.

Played yesterday at twilight starting at 4 PM and finished in 3.5 H. Totally quite on Easter Sunday with no one on the course.

Spectacular views on this course of the Suisun Valley and Napa hills when playing at twilight.

Course is in great condition at this time. The maintenance crew here does a fabulous job.

Pristine perfect tee boxes on all 18 holes.

Fairways are lush and firm and the roll out on all holes and especially downhill is just tremendous. And the lies are all great as well. Slowly finding the sweet spots in the fairways to even add further distance.

Rough is penalizing as rough should be. You can find the ball most of the time but unless you are really strong advancing it will be minimal.

Traps are big and full of playable sand. No issues. Very well maintained.

Greens as said before are HUGE. But after playing numerous times I am finding there are areas on the greens that if you can hit them will funnel the ball to the hole regardless of where the pins are. But miss those areas and you will be left with some unbelievable LONG putts. Sad to say 3 putts are alive and well on these greens.

Terrific customer service in the shop and restaurant. And happy hour is 7 days a week from 4 to 7 and the prices are terrific. Pints are 5$ pitcher is 12$ and the shrimp tacos are 9$ and delicious. I am going to have to start walking my rounds in the future.

Needless to say 24hrgolf is loving living in Rancho Solano and being 1 mile from the course. Only thing better would be if they allowed private carts.

If you are traveling from S CA to N CA using I 80 and want to play some golf I highly recommend you put this course on you list of plays.

Played today on a beautiful golf morning. Course is exceptionally maintained for a public course. Better than some private courses IMO.

Fast easy check in and found the playing conditions top notch.

Nice clean mowed tee boxes that you could even practice putting on at every hole.

Fairways are lush with great lies and roll and are wide enough unless you get really wild.

Rough is kept 1/2 in thick and you can find your ball but you will need a really good shot to overcome playing from there.

Traps are all nicely maintained with just the right amount of sand to produce good results.

Greens are HUGE. Still getting used to them and finding the right landing spots depending upon where the flags are placed. Easy to 3 putt with greens like this but also makes one a better putter the longer you play them.

All moved in to my new home on Rancho Solano. 1 mile from the course. So today I had time to play a round.

Happy to say this is one of the best maintained public courses I have played in my many years of playing golf.

Pro shop is well run and provides top notch customer service.

Starting times are readily available and being a member of the Sr program adds additional benefits in rates and tee times availabiltiy.

The restaurant is well run and the food service and menu is great and so are the prices which are everyday until 6 PM. Have not decided if I like the happy hour better than the golf LOL.

Today I found the course in the best shape I have seen since I played here in Feb.

Tee boxes outstanding. Fairways with plenty of rollout and great lies.

Traps fantastic. Good sand and very playable.

The rough is not friendly but what rough is?

Greens as I have said before are HUGE and nothing like I have ever played on. So learning greens will be a challenge going forward.

Terrific course to play and I have never encountered so many wild Turkeys (not golfers but real Turkeys) on a course before.

This course in a must play if you are in the area.

Took advantage of DST and played Super Twilight starting at 4PM. Finished all 18 in 3 hrs. Price was $39 w cart on a weekend. Course is in fantastic shape at the moment. The layout of this course is just terrific. There really is not a bad hole in any of the 18. Tee boxes are level and clean no issues. Fairways are dried out and providing great lies and amazing roll out (take that S CA). Rough is not a nice place to play from. They keep it clean and mowed down but stay in the fairway. Traps were all clean an playable. I would like to see more sand though. Greens are very large and demand a lot of focus in putting. You can be on in regulation and still have 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and even 100 ft depending up where the pin is and were you land. It is going to take me some time to learn the green layouts and were to place my shots. I can truly say this is a public course but it is maintained and its layout can compete with many private courses in CA. Its a joy to play and look forward to many more rounds. Highly recommended if in the area. Great food in the restaurant and today they had $4 margaritas from the cart lady. Maybe thats why the group in front of us had the beverage cart with them so often.

Played this AM prior to aeration. Course has dried very well since all the rain. Unfortunately more is on the way. Tee boxes fine. Fairways a little firmer and decent roll out. Greens were playing much faster today. With the sun out one can really appreciate the setting of this course in and around the hills of Fairfield. Restaurant serves some great food at really reasonable prices. Truly a great place to play golf.

Well it finally stopped raining the sun came out and I got to play golf. My first time back here in over 20 years (OMG). The setting of the course in the hills of Fairfield is wonderful. Great views from just about everywhere on the course. The course is still wonderful and truly even better than I remember. Signed up for the Loyal-Tee rewards program ($65 Annual for Sr) and got a great $37 walking rate. I walked as it was CPO and felt walking in a straight line most of the 18 instead of sideways was better. The course is a little hilly but not that bad with the right push cart. Lucky I was with a local as this course has many water hazards and he was helpful pointing them out for me before we teed off on those holes. Wide fairways and still a little damp but that helped on some holes of not running off into the trees, of which there are many. Tee boxes were just fine. Bunkers I missed but they looked good but still damp. Greens were in great shape even after the rain. And large with plenty of undulations to conquer. But because they were still soft from the rain they were playable. I do not think they would be less forgiving when they are dry and firm. Very nice clubhouse and had lunch in the small but quaint restaurant and food and prices were excellent. I am looking forward to many many more rounds here on this very fine golf course.
