Played Friday afternoon. POP was terrible at 5 hours with 9:45 am tee time.

They allow 5 somes here and it is just slow. Course is in average shape. The greens were bumpy and running at 7. The fairways had splotches of grass and rough was patchy. The sand was decent and the tee toxes were all beat up. The punk behind us hit up on his twice, so after the 2nd time I let him have it and ripped him a new as$hole about golf etiquette. Was not in the mood to get dirty or sued so I left without hurting him.

Avoid this course if you want good playing conditions with decent POP.

Made visit to San Dimas on Sunday afternoon.

POP was 4.45 hours. Course was in good condition. Greens were smooth and running at 9.

Fairways and rough and aprons were well kept and looked great. Sand traps had plenty of sand. The clubhouse is back up and running although the design is questionable as the check in area is completely seperate from the restuarant and nice bar and patio area. The old layout was much better for business IMHO. Staff was pleasant and we played with two nice gentlemen. We paid $65 to ride on the weekend at 1 pm which is great value!

A breath of fresh air compared to Santa Anita a few days before.

Rarely am I shocked at a course's condition but what's happened to #2 is a travesty. Between the summer concerts and parking for soccer games, the course is in pitiful condition. Went out Sunday 6/22 at 12:20pm walking, paired with a rider. Other two either didn't show or took one look at the conditions and turned around.

The massive dessert on the first hole is well known at this point, but if the rest of the course was in decent shape you could let that slide. Unfortunately, over half the tee boxes were roped off which means having to tee off in dirt patches, severely shortening many holes. And if that wasn't bad enough, you had a less than 50% chance of having a decent lie if you hit it in the middle of the fairway. Absolutely brutal round of golf. The greens were at least in good shape, although they were very soft and very slow. Was in one trap and sand was minimal but playable. Not much rough around the fairways, but there was some decent rough around the greens, although again, patchy and uneven lies abounded.

The kicker for me was the random discarded sofa by the side of the 18th fairway. Guess this isn't a golf course anymore, just a landfill that also doubles as a parking lot. I can't imagine conditions getting better any time soon with summer coming up. Avoid avoid avoid

After playing the three courses at Las Vegas Paiute resort, the wolf course remains to be the top notch golf course. In many of the times that I’ve been there, the wolf Course have always been in the very best of maintenance. Needless to say, they have an overall great conditions.
As far as what the course looks like, they definitely are very green in color, healthy, lush, fairways, and roughs that you really have to mind your shots from the rough because of how healthy they are. Their greens are phenomenally rolling, so smooth that I give it all The highest credit and everything else follows in great spectacular conditions.
Discourse is world class.

First out on a beautiful early summer morning. Since they are holding the club championship this week, the course is as expected in very nice shape. I was surprised the green speeds were not quicker. Not that they were slow by any means, just not as fast as expected. Overall, the course continues to improve. Question is if they can maintain these conditions as we begin to experience the anticipated heat of summer.

I played on 6-20-25. I guess there is no more water shortage in so cal because Temecula creek inn is a swamp. The fairways were so wet your tee shots plugged or when they didn’t plug, there’s no roll. The tee boxes are like sand traps there is so much sand on them. The green seemed like they hadn’t been cut in a week and were probably running around a 6. I don’t know who the head pro is but he should spend some time with the superintendent and drive around the course to see how it is. This course is not worth the money they charge. If you want to play a course that is over watered, slow uncut greens and sand traps tee boxes, this is the course for you. Also and the fact that you’ll be playing five hour rounds with no course marshals.

Shingle Creek 6/20/25- On a family trip to Orlando I decided to bring the sticks and make the most of my time when not at the parks. Staying close to Shingle Creek I decided this was a good price point course. Cost was just over $100 for a Friday 7:50AM Tee time. The Shingle Creek Resort and golf facility is very well done. The practice facility is top notch. Boasting a massive range, and large practice green. On the backside of the range there is a full training facility. A few restrooms located strategically throughout the course, with restocked jugs of water at each one. The bathrooms on course were well kept and clean, the stop at the turn boasted a bar and grill style with a good menu. The carts are really nice and new, have all the updated GPS systems, with speakers and comfortable seats, also a drop down cover for the rain.

The course itself, is a challenging resort course and I played from the Gold Tees (130 slope).
The greens had been punched about 2 weeks ago and still had not fully gotten back to a flat surface, I struggled getting my ball to stay on line. The fairways, bunkers, and tee boxes were very well taken care of. I saw no dead spots on the course, and no gators. Water comes into play on about 9 holes, and I managed to be near or in that water on all 9 of those holes.

I would recommend this place to not only stay but also to play.

Played here a couple of times in the last week or so, most recently on Monday, June 16. Played early because of the heat. There were people going out when I finished so it was getting some business. Service was good. No starter on the 16th but the guy in the pro shop who was hustling to keeping things going including changing the match ups to smooth out the start. $69 including cart and range.

The course is obviously suffering from the heat (108 to 112 the entire time I was there). There were some bare spots in the fairways and on the greens. That said, I had a good surface to hit from generally and the greens rolled pretty good. They were a little slower on the 16th, medium speed, most likely from the watering they were doing as we played. No rough to speak of, most of the bunkers had enough but not abundant sand, and the tee boxes were okay.

Just a fun course to play. I went back the 16th because most of the courses I looked at on the east side of Phoenix had terrible summer reviews, including slow greens. Las Sendas was no perfect but it was better than the courses I was reading about. I also came back because I really like the layout. A little course knowledge helped also.

I'll come back next time I play in the area because I like the course. Hopefully, they get some relief from the extreme heat and the aeration of the greens helps.

First out as usual on a busy Friday morning. Lots of maintenance, which is a good thing, I guess. Course has been steadily improving with the recent change in management. Greens rolling very true with decent pace and very receptive. Fairways are now getting really nice. Bunkers, surrounds, tee boxes all are fine. Nice to see the level of care now being exhibited, which was long overdue.

Rode the blues yesterday 6/19/2025 with my buddy RGM2525 under nice skies around 65 degrees and about a 2 club wind from hole 7 on. Pop was 4 hrs 40 minutes behind a packed tee sheet of golfers. Met by Stacy checking in and a real nice starter on 1 tee. The staff are great here. We hit a medium bucket on their all grass range and chipped and putted some before our tee time. Out right on time.

I don't think from tee to green I have ever seen the course nicer. Staff should really be commended.

Fairways were very lush and if anything couple of the fairways were overwatered. Rated 8.5/10

Tees were in good to great shape level and lush. Rated 8.5/10

Rough was in beautiful shape slightly higher than the lush Fairways. Rated 9/10

Greens were amazing. Saw the lines good today. Probably a 10.5 on the stimp. Very true perfect rolls. Rated 9/10

Was not in any sand but the bunkers were redone here recently and they looked amazing.

Deer running everywhere. Great lush course with rich history. One of the more challenging tracks you can find. We split the golf moose coupon which is a great deal for 2 players and they have a great replay rate.

Very much recommended.

Made a return trip to Rams Hill (played there on Memorial Day) to take advantage of their generous FREE Birthday Round offer…and the course is in very solid shape.

Had a most enjoyable time as my daughter played alongside me. The course was empty…temperature hit 112 degrees as we finished up the round…so we were able to adopt and maintain a relaxed, leisurely pace from the opening hole.

Won’t get into much detail here…my previous review still stands on all accounts…but I thought the conditions may have been a notch higher. They’re keeping the course watered as we encountered a couple of fairways and areas short of the greens that were damp from a recent dousing. The end result? Healthy turf that provided excellent lies to hit from.

Fairways didn’t play as fast as they did on Memorial Day but we still saw some roll out. Coloring is a healthy green with no signs of any burn-outs and the rough was in good shape as well. Bunkers are well-maintained but due to the heavy sand, it’s tough to get an appreciable amount of spin on the ball as it has a tendency to ‘settle’ in the sand.

Greens still firm but playable; you must take that into account when deciding where to land your approach shot. Going long into the back fringe areas of these sloping greens will really test your resolve and short game shot-making skills so distance control is a must.

Putting-wise, as was the case a few weeks ago, they were awesome. Devoid of ball marks and smooth as glass, the posted Stimp number was 11.5. Didn’t feel overly quick but you most certainly must respect the sloping, downhill putt.

Tee boxes were a bit softer this time around, which was a welcome improvement. The aeration that’s taken place since the end of May has helped alleviate that issue.

Had new woods and wedges…and golf ball…in the bag since that last round so I was able to make a fair comparison between the ‘Old vs. New’. Happy to report the upgrades provided some measurable improvement from the tees/fairways and around the greens. That will make the upcoming credit card bill somewhat easier to digest. Maybe…maybe not.

I’d like to close by thanking Rams Hill for continuing to take a proactive approach to providing the best possible experience to their customers. From course conditions to the positive vibe exuded by their staff, they’re doing an excellent job. Already looking forward to my next round.

Played on Sunday 6/15 with a mid-morning tee time. POP to play 14 holes was around 4 hours. We had to wait on every hole.

We haven't played here since it was closed in 1/23. They did a great job getting to open 14 holes. Course is in good shape. The old golf shop, clubhouse and restrooms are still closed. They are operating out of a trailer behind the 18th green. Next to it are trailer restrooms similar to what Olivas has. They have riding carts available.

Tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. Landed in a few bunkers. Was nice to hit out of bunkers with real sand unlike some other courses where it's mostly hard packed sand. Greens were in good shape. Kept on thinking putts would break but it rarely did. The water level in some of the lakes were really low but you can still lose balls here. There are patches here and there on the fairways and around the greens that are bare ground.

The restroom near hole #12 was still closed. There's 2 porta potties next to it.

Nice to have this course back again even it's only 14 holes. Waiting for the rest of the holes to open. Course is flat enough that you can walk. No driving range here. Just a couple areas to hit into a net. Love the cooler weather here and the afternoon breezes.
