Was in the area and walked on to Dad Miller at 10am. First tee was open and not many players on putting green. Checked in and sent to first tee to join a three some. Got to the third hole and play came to a stop, have never seen three groups stacked up #5. The rest of the day was very slow.
Tees were level with many different types of grass growing, fairways start off with dried out areas and numerous gopher holes need to watch your step. Rough had good coverage. Greens have sprouts of kikuyu spread through the greens, on #1 had to pull one out because it was so tall. Greens had poorly repaired ball marks, which is not the fault of the course. Temp green on #11, 78 yards and in a weird place.
POP on Tuesday was over five hours and hard to keep a rhythm going.

730 tee time this morning at Santa Anita. Always have liked SA and the surrounding area. Tee boxes were a mixed bag with some with good coverage and others that had tall weeds in between the markers. They are trying to reduce maintenance on the first 75 yards off the tees to save water. Actual fairways had good coverage, rough was another mix bag with different heights and coverage. Greens were soft and slow, no one in our group could figure out the speed during the entire round. It hindered chips and putts. Bunkers were good and POP was 4.25 hours.

Early morning tee time Sunday morning to beat the heat. Check in and first tee were well organized with no issues. Tees were level and well kept. They are putting a lot of water on the course. Had many plugged balls in the fairway that would pick up mud and rob distance. Bunkers were soaked and couple still had standing water. Greens were smooth and soft with medium speed.
POP was a tad over four hours

Early morning tee time on Mesa Linda, course was busy and as usual first tee well organized. The course is getting ready for the city championship and quite a few workers on the course. They are putting a lot of water on the course and a lot of wet spots on the fairways. Tee boxes were level and had good coverage. Fairways were very wet and grass was long, not a lot of roll. Traps were wet compacted sand. Greens had good coverage with a lot of unfixed divots. Greens were rolling smooth and medium speed.
POP was 3 1/2 hours. Fun little course.

Morning tee time LS south. This course is a beast, playing the white tees and still 6700 yards. They are putting a lot of water on the course and the ball had little run on the fairways. Rough was up around the green complexes. Traps had good consistent sand and were well groomed. Greens held shots, were smooth and running medium speed. The heat is getting to areas that really are not in play.
POP was right at four hours. Staff was friendly and courteous.

Early morning tee time on the Brookside Nay course. Check in and first tee went with no issues. First time playing this course, don't let the yardage fool you. Need to think your way around this course. Green complexes are elevated and well bunkered, rough was very deep around the greens. #10 par three was ridiculous if you were anywhere but below the hole.
Tees, fairways and rough had good coverage. One bunker I was in had good sand. Greens are small and pin placements were on the crests of hills and if you were above the hole there was no stopping the ball.
POP was a little under four hours. Course is in really good shape

7am tee time on a Sunday morning. Check in and first tee organized and running smooth. Course is in very good condition. Tee boxes are level with good coverage, fairways have good coverage. Rough sneaks up on you, it looks like it would be easy to advance the ball but when you try to hit out of it the grass grabs your club. The cottonwoods are starting to bloom and makes it difficult to find your ball. Sand traps had good sand and well groomed. Greens were lush and held shots, rolling at medium speed early in the morning.
POP at a little over four hours. New holes match the rest of the course.

Early tee time at Dads today. Check in and first tee very organized. Tee boxes were pushed up with a sign in the pro shop stating to play the markers due to course maintenance. Fairways had good coverage, the problem is that walking off the tee box and before you reached the fairway the ground was filled with gopher holes. Also in the rough there were gopher holes need to be careful not to twist an ankle.
Greens were in very good shape with little divot damage. Greens rolled nicely and were firm. Traps were ok and well groomed. Lots of workers on the course from tree trimmers to greens keepers. Really need to inspect the bridges on the back nine, they have seen better days. POP was a tad under four hours. Early birds play at a good pace.

Played Kapulua Bay course while on vacation on Maui. First tee time out on a very windy morning. Course is top notch with every detailed covered. Check in was smooth and first tee very organized. Rental clubs were Titleist AP1. Course was two weeks out of maintenance and the greens were slow and bumpy.
Fairways and rough had good coverage with the rough penalized you on distance when advancing the ball. Sand traps were borderline unfair. Every green side bunker was very soft and balls would plug with a fried egg lie. Greens were aerated a couple weeks ago and still need some time.
Scenery is beautiful, trade winds were up and added to the challenge.

Played the North course on a family vacation on the Big Island. Went out on the twilight tee times with a group of seven. Check in was quick and easy considering none of us brought clubs. Proceeded to the starter and they set us up with Taylor Made or Titleist clubs. Starter was in a weird mood and was really little help.
Course is very stunning with the fairways surrounded by lava rock formations. Quite a few tee boxes were on a slant but had little divot damage. Fairways were immaculate and rough was tough. Ball would sit up in the rough but would grab your club head. Traps had great sand and were well groomed. Greens had good coverage with about half of the greens had small ant hills throughout the greens. Greens were firm and a little on the slow side.
Nobody on the course and the trade winds were blowing pretty good. POP was a little over four hours. Very fun day playing a friendly family day of golf.

Walked on and played as a single this morning. Tee boxes, fairways and rough had good coverage. Sand traps had good sand and were well groomed. Greens were lush and held well struck shots, very few unfixed divots. Greens were bumpy and more than a few putts were knocked offline. They have a great email special. POP was a little under four hours.

8:30am tee time on a nice Tuesday morning. Check in was smooth and first tee went with no issues. Tees were level with good coverage, fairways were still in winter condition and rolled out on drives. Bunkers had good sand and were well groomed. Greens are lush and soft with few unfixed divots. Greens rolled smooth but were very slow, could not get used to the speed even on downhill putts.
POP was 4.5 hours with no marshals. Good muni and variety of holes that will keep your interest.
