Played this course Friday. Fear of rain kept the crowds away so I was able to walk on and join up with some other players. Our round lasted around 4.5 - 5.0 hrs. Despite the recent rains, course conditions were good, with a few muddy spots here and there, but the greens were playable and sped up after the sun came out.

This is a great course to walk. One little note: the snack bar is at the 12th hole - a par-3. And watch out for the squirrels. The little buggers will try to grab your food when you aren't looking!

Shhhhhhh. Rancho is in beautiful condition. Greens were as good as I've ever seen them this morning, and some of my fairway lies made me feel like i was playing country club golf. Only bad thing I could say is some of the traps aren't so good, but hey, maybe I shouldn't be in there to begin with. Oh, and a little too much racket from the picketers in front of Fox - "umm, excuse meeee. you're disturbing my golf game." : )

The greens were as nice as I can recall, and given all the play this course gets, kudos to the maintainence staff. The rest of the course was also in decent condition, not great, but OK! Love Rancho, but hate the 5+ hours it takes to get around this course. The starter was a real jerk, but then what's new. Otherwise, the marshalls were fine, except that they never could explain the super slow pace.

First time playing at Rancho. Course is pretty straight forward and can be sneaky hard on some holes. Lots of ground under repair.

Played here on Saturday, July 7th with a very early morning tee time. Pace of play was very fast, it took us about 4 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. Course is in good condition. Some of the fairways were muddy (or soggy) in spots, bare in other spots. Otherwise the fairways were in good condition. Some of the bunkers were very hard packed (did not need to rake bunker after one walked out of the bunker). Greens were in good shape but some spots on the greens were a little bumpy. This is a great deal to play here for the price we paid. I love playing this course. It was nice to escape the heat from the valley.

Ah Rancho! She's a fine old lady! Truly one of the better golf courses in Southern California. (for those who like pure golf and not all the hoopla and frills) The ultimate in a fair test of golf. While none of the holes are specatular, no great vistas, not always in the greatest of shape, brutally slow to play, it still represents golf the way it was intended to be played! The course was in very nice shape and given the lack of rain and the amount of play this place gets, kudos to the greenskeeper!

course is in great shape.playing at least twice this week. please to all not so good golfers....keep the pace up,and tee off from white box for a better experience.ego will get you nowhere in golf.
