I've been playing this course regularly for 15+years, and now that the secret is out, the course is suffering for it. I know every green like the back of my hand, and although the speed is good, they... Continue »

Played on 11/03/2007, and the greens were in GREAT shape. Probably the best roll I've seen on a ball in years. Every putt rolled true and the speed was perfect...not too slow, not too fast.

Played yesterday, 10/24. Unfortunately, the greens weren't up to the usual rio hondo standards. Not sure how long ago they aerated, but many greens had a waffle like look to them. It also looked li... Continue »

Play here a lot, greens still quite bumpy after aeration, not rolling well yet. Give course 2-3 more weeks.

Played on October 8. Rio Hondo has a nice mix of short, medium, and long par 4s with some challenging par 3s. The course is in good condition although they are over seeding the tee boxes which has lit... Continue »

This place is almost always in good shape. Hard to find a downside except for pace of play can be a bit slow. Course conditions are consistantly good. Worth the money.

Play here 9/14 for the first time with the City of Carson tournament, playing best ball. Great course to play. Fairways are nice and greens play well, a little slow, but no big deal. A few water hol... Continue »

Played Rio Hondo for the first time 8/1, early twilight. I was meeting a buddy from Hermosa Beach who recently played/suggested it. With me coming from Altadena, it worked very well as compromise loca... Continue »

Played here for a scramble tournament today (PM session). First time playing the course and I would say it is better than many reviews I have heard. Pretty straight forward layout. Not a lot of sand. ... Continue »
