Played out here with my son at 8:30 last night. We paid in the shop and then on the first tee, the first thing the starter says to us is something to the effect of, "You're not gonna finish. It's really busy out here." I replied that it would have been nice to know that before we paid, and then he got defensive and acted like that was impossible. We would have played anyway, but come on, golf course operators, it's all about setting expectations and making people feel welcomed.

Conditions-wise, it's sort of difficult to gauge under the lights, but to me the course played really good. The first green looked like it had some damage, and of course all the greens have way too many unrepaired ball marks, but all of my putts rolled really smoothly and at medium fast speed. Greens were soft and full shots stopped quickly, but pitches and chips were quick and would roll out quite a bit. Tee boxes were fine. Fairways and rough seemed good. My son was in one bunker and the sand seemed nice.

We were three groups deep (a twosome, a foursome, and then us) on the 9th tee box when the lights went out at 10:15. Instead of walking in, though, everyone turned on their phone flashlights and we all played out the hole as a big eightsome, although I still never found my tee shot. It was a lot of fun, though.

Played here with my son tonight at 5:00. Course is in okay shape. They've aerated half the greens but aren't really taking advantage of that strategy. Rather than placing the pin well into the non-aerated section, several greens had the hole very near the aerated half of the green. Despite that, the greens are rolling medium fast. Fairways, rough and tee boxes were ok, about 5/10. I was in one bunker and the sand was fine but unfortunately it was unraked by careless players. POP was great and would have been even better if the group behind us hadn't decided to skip a hole and hold us up on the par-4 5th. Then over on the 7th suddenly some guy came out of nowhere and was ahead of us playing several balls. It would be nice if they had a marshall out there to prevent people from haphazardly jumping around the course. Still, we finished in probably 90 minutes and had fun. Oddly, I saw several carts out on the course tonight. I didn't even know they had carts here.

This is the first time I've played here since they added a footgolf course. The holes follow the same routing but with separate tee boxes, small greens and big holes adjacent to the regular tees and greens. No one was playing but I want to try it sometime.

Played here for the first time! I've driven past the course countless times since moving to Coto de Caza in 1996 and never found the time or had the inclination to play here. Now retired, I thought I'll be like sixpez and try some some of the less traveled courses.

The course is boring ! Not in particularly good condition. (aside from the fact that half of each green was punched) $14 is well too much money for this course! Played Brea Creek last month for $12 and it is heads and shoulders better than this place. NONE of the holes are interesting with the possible exception of #9. The best part of it was that nobody was there and I was able to zip around in about 45 min.

Understand there is nothing wrong with this course per se. We need more of these type courses. Better that new golfers tee it up here rather than the "big courses"

FYI. they are charging holiday rates everyday from now thru New Years Day.

Took my son out here for nine holes today. Got a $8 rate on golfzing.com and the course is well worth that. I'm not sure I'd be happy about paying the normal $16. Greens are quick downhill and slow up... Continue »

Took my son out here for nine holes today. Got a $8 rate on golfzing.com and the course is well worth that. I'm not sure I'd be happy about paying the normal $16. Greens are quick downhill and slow uphill. Tee boxes beaten up pretty bad, but I always found a decent spot to hit from.

I told myself I was going to take it seriously and the course still ate me up. I can never score here at all. For midday on a weekend, POP was nice; only had to wait a few times.

Nobody in front or behind me so I took my time and had a great round. Very fun little short course. Greens were in decent shape and rolled well. Weekends look like a madhouse so try playing here after work, just $8 after 8pm.
