Tee resodding alert..... They are resodding three tees as of today and several more on the Mesa Linda course. The blue tees are way up on those holes. As always the greens are in fabulous shape. The key to avoid slow play out here is to start early. If not, automatic 5 hour round every day of the week.

Was able to get this round in between the rain storms. Course was in decent condition, not great, but decent. About what you'd expect. The best part of the round was pace of play - just a little over 4 hours, which for this course is exceptional. However $33.00 to walk is more than this course is worth.

Played today and the course was packed. Took 5.5hrs plus. Pins were either placed on knobs or slopes it seemed like. Fairways were average with the biggest problems coming at the bottom of the valleys... Continue »

Played today and the course was packed. Took 5.5hrs plus. Pins were either placed on knobs or slopes it seemed like. Fairways were average with the biggest problems coming at the bottom of the valleys in the fairways. It looked like grass had grown over badly dug sprinkler lines so the basins were horribly uneven and you would be better off in the rough (which wasn't that penalizing. Greens are challenging to read with lots of unfixed divots. Tee boxes were decent for the most part as were the bunkers.
The biggest problem with the track besides pace of play and the weird fairway problems were the other golfers on the course. A player in the group in front of me played my ball AFTER leaving the landing area and coming back. Absolutely ridiculous. Not three holes later another golfer in a parallel fairway came into ours to check for his ball (while we were teeing off of course), dropped a ball (he was in the lake... or something), then moved out of the way when he finally realized that his green had not cleared. Atrocious behavior. Marshall was only seen once in 5.5 hours and that was on the 15th hole.

All in all I'd rather play Mile Square.

I can't stand it any more. This course will be a once every two year affair. The tardiness of our tee by 30 minutes and the slow play on the front 9 (almost 3 hours)has made me not to want to play here often any more. It's too bad to because the conditions of the course are great. The head greenskeeper here has got to be one of the best around. Given the amount of play this course gets and to have these greens day in and day out in great condition speaks volumes about the superb maintenance staff here. But slow play has ruined it for me here.

Played here for the first time 8/28. We had a 2:08 tee tims and while waiting at the 1st tee we had two groups try to cut in front of us. The starter fixed it and we got out around 2:30. Overall a nic... Continue »

Played here for the first time 8/28. We had a 2:08 tee tims and while waiting at the 1st tee we had two groups try to cut in front of us. The starter fixed it and we got out around 2:30. Overall a nice course. Some tee boxes where a little chopped up but it was late afternoon. Greens in good shape but a little slow. Saw the cart girl 3-4 times wish it had been more.much nicer looking than anyone in our foursome. Pace of play was very slow. We had to wait on every hole a 5 1/2 hr round.
This was my first round in 7 weeks. Just got released after knee surgery. I will be back here again but early in the am.

Very attractive looking parkland style course with wide open fairways.

An eccentric layout in some ways with all the par 4's being short or very short (only two of them are over 400 yards - barely) and 5 mid/long par 5's with 5 par threes. The front nine is much longer than the back.

For the price you can't beat it. Course is in excellent shape in general with lush fairways, not much rough to speak of and very nice greens running medium to quickish at times.

Lots of playability with the variety of holes and angles and wide open tee shots to medium sized, subtle greens. The only gripe would be the place of play (what's new) but for the price and the conditions hard to complain.

I'll be back.
