tee'd off at 9am 2/4, played in 4 1/2 hours which was good considering how busy it was. Fairways dry and bare on front 9, worse on back 9. The greens were in good shape, pretty smooth but very firm and fast.

Played saturday, 11/4. The course is fairly decent condition, fairways have some bare patches, and some hardpan out there. The greens were pretty quick, but a tad bumpy at times.

Expected the course to be jammed on this beautiful autumn day, (also because the Players course is being worked on) but pace was decent - a little over 4 hours from a noon tee off - not too bad. Course was in very nice shape, greens still show some residual of the prior punching, but fairly smooth and reasonably fast. Only complaint is having to play the "new 4 holes" - wish they would have left the course the way it was, otherwise one of the better value in Orange county.

crowded because they punched and sanded the players course greens...but they didnt look too bad and no one was on the players...so wished i would've played there

The Classic course at Mile Square is still one of the better public courses in OC. If you have not played it recently, it is very much worth the $$$ and you will enjoy it very much.

Went out on a Sunday p.m. Thought I could get going on either course as a walk-on the wait list soon after twilite rate at 2:30 p.m. Didn't start on the Classic til 3:20 p.m. Groups in front of us, incl. 5 somes, very slow even tho riding. Course OK conditions. Tried to fix as many ball marks on greens as could. Front 9 in less than 2 1/2 hours....not bad. Got to par-3 No. 13, and 3 groups already waiting. No marshal in sight. No one waved up next group. Must have taken 30 mins. before we hit. Last few holes a blur as tried to finish all 18 before it got too dark ca. 8 p.m. For the low green fee of twilite walking on a weekend, got money's worth. But, next time on a Sunday I'm going to pay more $, start earlier, and finish a full 18 at a relaxed pace.
