Played today 09-03-14. POP was great for the 1st 9(1:45), decent for the back 9(2:30). Played as a 2some, no one infront until the the 6th hole. a 5some on 10 let 1 pair by, but decided to hit when we got to the tee box, slowing everything down. The tee boxes were in good shape. The fairways had a lot of bare spots, and they over-watered a lot of them. Greens were rolling good, and deceptively fast. BUnkers had that hard crunchy dirt instead of sand, but played good.

Would definitely come back. as it has a lot of tricky holes for a 1st timer.

Tee Time: 6am Holes Played: 9 Pace of Play: 2hr Tee Box: Overall conditions of the tee box were good. I would describe as your typical/average city tee boxes - nothing special, nothing bad. Fairways: Good fairways. Fairly clean and not too many bare spots. I would say 80% of the fairways was good and 20% were bare. Rough: Same as the fairways, nothing great, nothing bad. Green: Greens were soft/firm and fairly smooth. There were some duck poop around some of the holes, so that can be annoying. Overall good/playable conditions. However, I didn't like the pin placements today. All the pins were on a hill and the putts would roll next to the hole and roll right back 10 feet away from the pin. I believe there's a tournament today, which is why the pins were place in difficult positions. Overall: As mentioned, its your typical city golf course. It's definitely better in comparison to others around the area. I would say the rating should be about 5.5 to a 6.5.

Played on 4/14 for an afternoon rate of $35. Got around with foursome in just over 4 hours. The greens are very nice, the are smooth, soft, and very playable. The fairways on the other hand, look like a $35 course. Weeds, bare spots, and uneven tee boxes rule the landscape. The course itself is not a terrible layout. It's easily walk-able and quite flat. It's also a ridiculously easy course with very few hazards or challenging shots. All 4 par 5's are reachable and a couple of the par 4's you can get within chipping distance off the tee (I love those driveable par 4's!). You're not going to mistake RSJ for Pebble Beach or even Tijeras Creek, but for $35 and a 4 hour round, it was an enjoyable afternoon and I'd probably come back for something around that same price.

Teed of a 9:20 on a Wednesday morning. No one in front of us, no one behind us, and we finished in 4-1/2 hours. Course is really in rough shape with lots of bare spots and muddy areas. If the drought persists and water rationing becomes a reality, this course will suffer immensely.

Played today (1/11). Wish I hadn't. Awful condition. Awful POP. Only paid 21 bucks, still not worth it.

played early on a weekday morning just to practice, not a lot of people out. course was in kind of ragged condition, which is pretty much what is expected here. tee boxes shaggy, fairways were green but had lots of overwatered muddy spots. greens were fairly poor, bumpy, a bit patchy, difficult to putt straight on. POP was good because i played early. they let out a few fivesomes behind us. nothing really special here just your typical GC run by american golf.

Played 10/27 with 1:07 tee time. The greens were subpar for RSJ as footprints and ball marks were visible everywhere making putting a challenge. Sandtrap sand was either packed or overgenerous in spots as I hit numerous bunkers to attest to the quality or lack thereof. I understand half of the greens will be punched over the next two days so playing conditions should improve by mid November unless they continue to overwater for the new seeds to take. It was swampy in the fairways in spots.

First time here. Enjoyed the lay out, but greens were terrible. The starter said they aerated half the greens 2 weeks ago. I couldn't tell what was the better half. For $47 walking, I now know why the pace of play was good (under 5 hrs) for a weekend. Over priced. I hope they fix their greens, because the curvature of the greens were fantastic.

Decided to make an early return here based on my positive recent visit. However, playing at 11:15 is a whole lot different than at 5:15am. Took over 4/12 hours which I guess isn't all that bad considering. What I noticed today that I missed the last time is that the greenside bunkers have no sand in them! Otherwise course was in decent condition.
