Found a $16 hot deal yesterday so I decided to head out. I knew the possibility of a frost delay was very high and I was right. I showed up 10 minuets before my tee time and the pro shop let me know that there was a delay. When I got to the starter he mentioned that they did not start until 930 and that there were 7 groups a head of me. 4 from the shotgun start and 3 standard times. After the 4 groups went through the 1st the starter called me over to move me to the first group. I joined a father and son for the very long round. We had to wait on every tee until 15 when the shotgun players finished. POP was 5.5 hours and it was brutal.

Course is in good not great shape at the moment. The fairways and greens were nice but the tee's and rough were lacking. They had a fair bit of storm damage to some of their cart paths and rough which they have addressed but its going to take some time to fix. I must say the fairways were a mixture of two grasses and had some divot damage that was noticeable on the shorter holes. The greens IMO were fantastic they were soft and held most shots throughout the day. Speed was posted at 10.5 but I think they might have been a touch slower. Pin locations were very tough today and forced you to play safe and attack center green. Gps is a nice touch but on a few hole the Pin location was wrong.

Overall this course is still a must play and deals are easy to find to play here. Even rack rate of $60 is very affordable for the condition of this course.

Played here 1/27/19 with a 1:30pm Tee time. First off, we played in winds of 40mph today which made it a bit challenging. Greens were perfect rolled true. Fairways were green with some patchy spots at times. Rough was a pretty decent second cut. Sand was compact and had some little rocks in it. Water was clean and clear. Pace of play was 4.5 hours for us because we got paired with 2 beginners who had only golfed 6 times ever. Staff was friendly and polite. We actually were able to get out 15 min earlier enabling us to finish before dark. Tee boxes were pretty level HOWEVER, on 2 holes the whites were in back of the blues and not even pointed towards a fairway. Someone was either clearly upset or being a punk and messing with the box on a few holes. This was a it frustrating but it happens i guess. Overall a great experience and we paid $40 which was a steal for this course at this time!

Played 9-16-18. Course had reopened the previous Monday so was expecting some signs of healing. Did not see any indication of punching. May have healed that quickly but seemed odd. The bunkers were hard as concrete and the greens were quick but not as fast as normal. Some tee boxes were trashed. Tee boxes on the first par 3 on the back had been moved back so instead of a 150 yard shot it was instead 182. The tee stones were set right in front of a hill so you had to chop down to hit the ball without hitting the ground first. The forward tees had moved from a 75 yard shot to 172! The first par 3 over the canyon had all 4 tee stones on what would be the blue tees. At least it is a reasonable distance but quite a mind tweak when you are expecting 75 yards and find yourself facing 112. The rough was US open length so I lost a ball in the rough just a few yards off the fairway. Love the layout and will continue to play here but may wait till winter to see if more improvements are made to the course or if the focus these days is on building more homes!

played yesterday with an old buddy of mine and we both agreed that the Crouse was in great shape. Tee boxes nice and cut, some spots level some spots not but in good shape, fairways were in great shape with the Rough finally cut so you can find your ball and the greens were in absolutely great shape too. The Greens a little hard but still fair in some spots were the ball would hold. Customer Service was outstanding as always when I play there. The Club house is finally finish (was being remodeled for the longest time) and it looks great. Thank Morongo for a great day.

Leaving another review after seeing that Gary00 had left one also. The course was very busy today. The LPGA Symentra Tour was in attendance for their practice rounds, tuning up for competition this week end. They made for some nice scenery!! Ok enough of that.

I had a 1pm tee time at an outstanding rate of $27. Couldn't really pass that up. The course was in pretty good shape. 3.25 stars. The greens were firm and quick, as usual. Good coverage on the fairways, but the occasional shot from the rough was challenging. Advancing the ball was difficult. Luckily my driver was helping me look good today. The only negative I could comment on would be the tee boxes on the par 3s. Playing from the whites they were rather beat up, level but definitely in need of some attention.

I like the renovation moving the bar in the area where the pro shop was and check in was moved into another section but much smaller. In conclusion it was an enjoyable round and I'm sure I'll be back in the next few weeks.

PS. Johnny and I had a few comments about the green being punched. The Legends show no sign of this so I'm guessing it was the Champions side getting done in prep for the Lady Pros making their visit there. So Johnny, I'm guessing the Legends will get theirs done next month.

4/3 3some today using groupon $68 2 some after 25% discount(range balls and beer included) and GN $36 hot deal--1030 tee time but checked in with starter at 940 who gave us the option to follow the ladies and before the skins game started--420 later we are in the car on our way home. Needless to say staff is very friendly and golfer oriented with emphasis on making us feel welcome and to provide a quality experience.
Fairways are greeing up with good cover but somewhat mixed variety of grasses provides for some inconsistency--nothing really bad just not uniform. Rough does not look all that difficult but is sticky--really stops the forward progress and can be challenging especially around the greens--longer and juicy.
Tees are level with good cover. Bunkers have consistent sand--a little thin at the very bottoms
Greens firm medium fast(10.5 on the info board) and consistent rolling smoothly with some subtle breaks.
Layout and setting makes for and enjoyable outing.

Skipped across the road to Morongo after Oak Valley (they have remodelled the bar/restaurant - nice! But the pro shop took a hit when they did so and is now kinda pokey - not nice!) Zipped around in about 2.5 hours as a single. Finally - a more or less green golf course! There were a few patches here and there of dormancy and a few bare areas too, but overall conditions tee to green were good. Sand traps were still flooded in places and generally firm/crusty with decent sized rocks in them. Just like at Oak, the rough was penal, US Open stuff (but not as severe as at Oak). Greens were better here, but they contain about 50% poa and that affected the line and speed noticeably at times. Still, I paid 25 bucks on a Sunday afternoon so I am not too fussed. (18 green is trashed at the parts that border the water hazard fyi - no grass, just dirt/mud.)

Played Legends this morning with Gus, another GK member. We had a 7:40 Tee Time

Course was in good shape for this time a year. Always enjoy playing both tracks.
We played the Blue/White combo

Tee Boxes:
Good with only a few not so level areas. Some did have a ton of divot marks. Nothing terrible.

Fairways:
Mostly good, only a few yellow sports, nothing bare. No bad lie on any fairway.

Greens:
No issues, they held well, rolled good. Several unfixed divots, golfers just need to fix their marks a little better.

Pace of play was good, took about 4 hours, we only waiting a couple times and not for long. It was a very good day for Sunday play.

Cart girls came around twice, water was available. Club house service was great, bar area was good and great service.

Tukwet is always worth it.
