10/17/2016 Played "Players Combo" from card...pretty cool that all the 175 to 200 yard forced carries are nullified. I really like this course..the only thing I would change, since GPS and cell service don't work, is to change the "one in five" (or so) sprinklers have yardage to every one one of them have yardage marked...rounds would speed up immeasurably if one didn't have to methodically circle out from one's fairway lie to find a sprinkler head that was ACTUALLY marked.

Played on Saturday oct. 8th. Had a great time, love this course and the layout. The condition is a little worse than normal right now. Greens are trying to recover from the recent work. I'd say 2 more weeks and they will be fine. They held shots well, but were a little bumpy and unpredictable. Teeboxes need quite a bit of work, they aren't in the nicest shape, but usually level and could find a decent place to put your tee. Fairways were about average. I've seen them in better shape here in the past, but they were playable. Rough not too penal today. I've seen it a lot higher. Bunkers were in pretty sad shape, they were mostly rock hard. I was only in one, but my buddies were also complaining.

All and all, still had a fun time and conditions were definitely playable, Customer service was great. Pro shop guy is nice and Steve the starter is always hilarious. Wait a couple of weeks and everything should be in better shape.

WARNING: NO CELL SERVICE!
This course is a bit further out from I-15 than we thought, and once you hit Rancho California Rd/De Luz, there's no cell service! So, without navigation, the course signage could be better (we turned early into the groundskeeping crew entrance and had to ask where the Club house was).

As for the course itself, it's pretty decent for its location, but layout on back is weird, a bit "choppy".

It is doubtful we'll come back. The golf shop folks were nice, but the lack of cell coverage is a total turn-off. Couldn't check in with work and we had a flat tire as we came into 13. We ended up having to drive the cart with the flat because we couldn't call. There are no marshalls to speak of (we saw them 2x, both on the front 9) and beverage cart came around on the 18th!

Also, we ran into a small rattler out there - We didn't get bitten, and it is highly unlikely anyone will, BUT if someone did, you'd have to race back to clubhouse to get help! Scary thought!

I played a round here on saturday of labor day weekend for $35 the locals twilight rate. A very fair price for this place on a holiday weekend. My son and i teed off at 2:30 we where done by 5:45 which is a great pace considering my son is just learning to play the game. I like this course the setting is great you dont hear any traffic noise. The fairways where perfect no dead spots just nice beautiful green grass. The greens where firm but not to fast, not a bunch of ball marks on them. They really keep this place in great condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful that is a big deal with me. I am used to getting attitude from most of the courses i go play cause of my apperance. So when i find a place that treats me good i tell everyone i can to check them out. The only things that they could change would be some better carts mine soumded like the tranny was gonna fall out and they are just old not what you expect at such a nice course. They could use better signs at the teepads showing you the layout of the hole. On some holes its very hard to tell where the fairway is and if its straight or a dogleg. But those are minor issues i can deal with to play a course of this caliber for $35 weekends and $25 weekdays after 2. I would recommend this coirse to everyone who gets the chance to play here.

Played today with a friend I met a few weeks ago while playing at Green River. This was her first time at CrossCreek. We had an Underpar deal for $69/2players/unlimited play. We arrived at 11:15am for a noon tee time. The place seemed almost deserted with only about a dozen cars in the parking lot, only 1 person on the range and many carts lined up. It was quite surprising as it was such a beautiful day.

We were able to get out right away. The conditions were overall good, though not as good as at the last GK outing there. All the tee boxes were lush and level- only one had any noticeable divot damage. The fairways were beautifully green with only a very few thin and/or brown spots. The bunkers were all different ranging from clean/soft to wet/muddy/puddles, to thin/hard. The greens were the most disappointing part. One the front they were very patchy, multicolored, some good-sized bare spots. They were very inconsistent in speed. On the positive side, there were very few ball marks. Things improved on the back where they were much smoother, faster and just better looking. The rough was a consistent 2 inches or so around the course. The balls sat up very nicely most of the time. One thing that seemed odd to me was the lack of ball washers around the course. I don’t remember there not being any on so many holes. Maybe I just never noticed?

The beverage cart came by on 2 and 7 where she said that would be her last stop of the day. We never saw anyone else in front of or behind us until the 10th hole where 2 guys just appeared. They skipped ahead of us on 11 and then didn’t see anyone again until 15 when a single appeared behind us. He didn’t seem to mind following us as he kept his distance. We finished in exactly 4 hrs. It was a tough decision but we decided not to play a 2nd round. We had a lot of fun but both played pretty poorly so figured we’d leave bad enough alone. We’ll definitely be back soon for a redemption round!

We tee'd it up out at CrossCreek on Wednesday, 7/6 at 9:00 AM using an UnderPar deal for about $40 a player.

It was an absolutely perfect day out at CrossCreek. Ron and I were playing our GK Cup match and got paired with another two-some, a couple of really nice guys. Surprisingly enough the POP was almost exactly 4 hours. I only say this because our playing partners really, REALLY struggled with some of the forced carries and natural areas off the sides of the fairways. But they kept it moving which was cool.

I think the course is in pretty good shape right now. It definitely looks amazing, but it there was some patchiness that in all aspects. The one thing that really tricked us up a bit was the pace of the greens. They are really healthy and lush right now, but it caused them to be on the slower side and a little wobbly. I think with a basic verticutting and a buzz they could be perfect.

The rest of the course is what I have come to expect from CrossCreek, which is not necessarily "pristine" conditions, but well above average and much more than playable. I did find some pretty good rough around the greens, which I actually think helps since you're running out of room in a few spots.

Again, this is one of my favorite layouts around and I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. Just a killer place to play a round of golf.

This is a really nice golf course! I have not played here in a couple years, and always enjoy the setting, the views, the absence of homes, (Except for the huge ones up on the hills far away from the course), the overall feel of the course. A good layout with interesting holes, which are not too punishing, but still provide enough of a challenge to keep your interest.

Used a GK certificate so the price was right. Condition of the course was good, not great. Greens rolled well, but a little on the slow side. Some of the fairways had issues, but generally not a problem. With the first time off, not problem with pace of play, except I waited for maintenance a bit on the back nine. But it was a lovely morning, so just enjoyed being there.

I played here in a charity tourney over the weekend and found the previous course condition review by JohnnyGK remains spot on. Most of our group had never played CC before and we all enjoyed the course conditions and helpful staff. Definitely not a "bombers" course. Course requires quite a bit of local knowledge to score low, for several of my best (straightest) drives often went through the fairway and into the rough/hazards. The weekend rate was lower than I expected and was surprised at the seemingly low player traffic. Our group seemed to be the only players that afternoon besides a couple single players buzzing around. Not sure how they can afford to maintain the good conditions but I wish this place was closer to me, for I would definitely make it part of my regular rotation. The seclusion and views reminded me of the high priced tracks in Solvang and Santa Barbara. Cross Creek GC is a hidden gem.

This was the second outing GK has had a CrossCreek Golf Club and once again it was a big success. Thank you again very much to everyone that came out! From a playing perspective I thought the golf course was a mix bag of good to great shape. Greens were excellent, rolling smooth, holding shots and with a medium-fast pace. Fairways in most areas provided good coverage with the ball sitting up but spotty in other areas most commonly adjacent to the rough. Rough was spotty in most cases although better around the green complexes. Where it was lush it was surprisingly a bit moist and sticky creating a challenge. But in most cases, being how tight the layout is for a guy like me that sprays it around, I was always grateful to have the ball in the rough instead of hazards! - lol. Bunkers, I only found one greenside with the sand good quality (not great), good coverage and well raked. Tee boxes were in some cases level but in most cases not. I’ve experienced this many times at hilly courses that have been established for a while. Tee boxes just gradually over time start to merge with the subtle contours of their surroundings. Overall I was very happy with the condition of CrossCreek Golf Club. As far as layout, love it. The seclusion of the course as it trails through its beautiful surroundings combined with the challenging thought provoking layout has me hooked. I did not however like the dead zone of data/cell coverage but maybe it was a healthy change of pace for me to have to be “unplugged” for few hours. There is a strong WIFI signal in the clubhouse that also covers the practice area. From a group organizer perspective, and I've run close to 100 outings, again with exception of the no cell phone reception which from a communication standpoint is inhibittive, the staging area is perfect with a complete visual of the large practice putting green and driving range. The clubhouse very accommodating for a small to midsize group and overlooks the staging area. In addition the food was delicious and staff very cheerful. Working with CrossCreek’s tournament director, GM and on course personnel leading into and throughout our outing was professional and easy. I would not hesitate to do another GK Plays outing here. This was only my second time playing the course and if I lived even an hour away, it would be part of my regular rotation. Worth the drive for sure.
