Played yesterday as a single, eventually paired up with two others after a very frustrating check-in process. I had booked a GolfNow hot deal for 12:20pm. The guy told me I was not on the tee sheet. I showed him my email confirmation then he said just go talk to the starter. Then I showed him my email offer of free range balls or beverage and he told me that offer is not good anymore. (It is good till the 31st.) I was none too happy at that point but I eventually got my beverage and headed out. Course conditions were very nice. The fairways were multiple colors but lush with just a few muddy spots. The bunkers had a sufficient amount of sand, all well groomed. The tee boxes were all cut extremely short so were as much dirt as patches of grass. There was only one that was badly unlevel with wobbly footing. The greens were amazing. The were beautiful, velvety green, soft, and rolled fast and true. Yes, there were a few ball marks to fix along the way but not enough give a second thought to. The layout was fun and challenging as always with lots of elevation changes, forced carries and false fronts. One of my favorite holes is #15 with all the hills and dips surrounding the green. Unfortunately, my long streak of rounds with no lost balls ended here. The beverage cart came by several times and there were plenty of water jugs around the course. There were very few ball washers, though. It would be great if the carts has GPS but I guess with no reception out there that may not be possible? POP was slow at 5hrs but we had so much fun we snuck in a few extra holes finishing at dark. This is such a fun course. I highly recommend it and look forward to playing again.

Played CrossCreek Golf Club on 9/1. Tee time was at 11:50. It was around 98 degrees. PoP was great, played as a single. I caught up to a few foursomes on holes 6 and 7, they let me play through! Didn't see anyone else the rest of the round. The driving range and putting green are always in great shape. The tee boxes were well maintained. The fairways great. The rough was thick and green. The greens were consistent soft yet firm. The bunkers looked good. This is one of my favorite courses in my area. It's always in great shape. The staff is great. They usually have great deals to play there. Like their logo says "Pristine Golf"

Played today @ 8am as a 3some and finished in about 4 hours. Waited a little on par 3s for the group in front but it was mostly nice consistent pace. Since my last visit here 2 months ago, course visually suffers a little due to smart water management. They are cutting back water on the areas that don't come into play for most golfers. As such, it may be less appealing visually but all landing areas on the fairways were green and had excellent coverage. Other than the great scenery, best part about the course are the greens. Very smooth with no marks today. somehow front 9 was much faster than the back 9 so it did give us some trouble on the back. Greens here are not multi tiered like so many of the newer course around but somehow they always seems to put the pins at the top or the edge of a mounded areas.
Still a very nice course and a great deal with GK coupon at $32. Recommended.

Course is in very good shape and always cooler than those in the valleys. The staff is always laid back and welcoming here every time we've made the trip up the hill. The tee boxes were a little firm and some slightly thin - but still in pretty good shape. The green fairways were cut short with great coverage and sat the ball up nicely. The rough was for the most part thick and cut at the right length to hold shots for finding the snakes. The few traps I found were very wet, hard and difficult to play from - they were definitely the low point. The greens were in great shape with very few marks and held shots better today than in all my previous visits. Most of the greens on the course were slightly slower than what you found on practice greens. The location and views from this course are a big draw for most and never disappoint. The green fees are reasonable for the quality and conditions of the course. I think the course has made consistent improvement in playing conditions - it's a course everybody should play at least once.

It had been about 10 years since last playing this course and I'm wondering why it has been so long after playing this weekend. What a great layout, great conditions, pace of play, etc.

This course is a real challenge, if you don't bring a solid game to this course, you will get eaten up. You don't have to be a single digit but you better hit it fairly straight.

The layout is phenomenal, you start off the first few holes winding through trees, then it opens up for a number of holes then you finish winding back through trees, culminating into a incredible finishing hole that requires an accurate tee shot, your 2nd shot needs to hit over brush onto a green guarded by trees on the right side.

Greens were beautiful, rolled perfectly. Rough was not very hard to hit out of ball sat up most times. Fairways in really good condition. Sand was in good condition.

All in all, I won't wait another 10 years to come back here to play.

Played on Thursday, 5/25 as part of the GK Guru Course Review. Many thanks to my memorable playing partners, Walnutgolf, Zgolfingman and Itslikeimsaying. Thank you, Johnny for setting this up. If you have never played this Arthur Hills deep rolling terrain gem before, I strongly suggest that you preview/print GK Playing Tips on this website. It will be extremely valuable on club selection and guidance to ball placement from the tees. We played from the Blue Tees, measuring 6,312 yds, with a 133 Slope, Par 71. Pace of play was 4:12. The course is located about 7 miles west from Temecula Old Towne. Easy access from I-15 (Exit 59). Beautiful rolling terrain with some holes bordering grapes being grown for a local winery. Only 2 water holes but deep ravines and constant elevation changes. The course features firm hard to hold fairways, rough edged bunkers that are difficult to escape, and firm, fast greens that slope away for tricky putts. A few quirky holes on the Back 9 (#14, #16, #18) will test your shot placements and club selections. On these holes, look for posted yardage signs to target areas. You won't always hit driver or even 3W on some Par 4's. On Holes #1 & #16, long irons and hybrids were used for our tee shots. The Bent/Poa mixed greens were putting moderately fast, stimping around 8.6. Certainly faster when above the hole. Most greens were multi-tiered and undulating. Ball placement is critical to low scoring success. The greens were firm, with very few ball marks. Tip: If you laser a 150 yds shot to the flag, allow for about 5-8 ft of roll except on short &/or downhill approaches. Fairways, tee and roughs are Bermuda/Poa annua mix. Turf coverage was good to very good. There are 5 multiple tees placements per hole. Tees were generally leveled, the exception being the Blue tee on the Par 3, 17th. All of the Par 4's and Par 5's fairways were striped (mowed) for stunning visual effects. I loved the attention to this detail. The course was drying out quickly from the constant wind. Some turf wilting noticed on holes with slopes and exposed sun areas. Fwys & Roughs were closely mowed turf allowing the ball to sit up nicely on most holes. Some unfilled divots seen in high traffic landing areas. The sand traps offer good target frames. However, the brown sand was very compacted and not visually pleasing nor consistent. The course could certainly benefit from edging and removing Bermuda grass runners creeping into the bunkers. A few more rakes would speed up play. The course has the making of being a very nice track. I was impressed with the staff professionalism extended from the Pro Shop, Starter and Cart Beverage Girl (who came by about every hour). The aged Yamaha golf cart fleet could use an upgrade. Our cart came with a ripped driver seat and no windshield on this cool & windy AM. No cart's GPS, though yardages are found on sprinkler heads. The day's pin placements sheets were displayed inside the carts. Two sand bottles per cart. No cooler or club/ball washer attachments. We used the 2 water coolers on each 9 to wet our towels for cleaning. A dedicated water bucket for dipping towels on Tees #1 & #10 would be a nice touch. Now that I have played the course, I want to play it again. GK has a great coupon rate for 2. Please take advantage of it! Note: I had no cell coverage from the parking lot to the 10th tee. Difficult to call the spouse upon my arrival and ending of round.

I played out here in yesterday's GK Review Guru outing with walnutgolf, zgolfinman and jmo1pro2. Great to meet you guys! We started at 11:00 and POP was good, around 4:10. Weather was cloudy and chilly at first, but then the sun emerged around the third hole and it was gorgeous the rest of the day.

Conditions are quite good overall. The course looks really great. The greens are definitely the highlight. They are very healthy with strong turf. Ball marks were difficult to make. They were smooth and medium-fast all day. They are more firm than soft, with full shots taking a couple little bounces before stopping. Fairways were good for the most part, nice coverage but a little inconsistent from one hole to the next. Even at their worst, they were just a little thin/dry. I never had no grass underneath my ball in the fairway. Rough also varied from very lush and pure to a little more spotty in places. Tee boxes were a step down in conditions but nothing bad, just not as well conditioned as the rest of the grass out there. Bunkers are the lone problem area; they all seemed pretty crusty and/or lacking sufficient soft sand.

I really love this course and the whole feel out there in that little valley. In fact, I was enjoying it so much, I ended up playing 36 holes. Eighteen just wasn't enough. Can't ask for a much better day!

Played in a GK outing on Thursday afternoon on an overcast and windy day, finally got some sun on the back nine. Just love the peaceful setting of CrossCreek. Nice grass driving range. Greens: smooth firm greens, medium to fast speed. Fairways: good condition, ball sets up nicely. Rough: inconsistent, 1-3" high, some bare spots and animal burrows but the rough should punish your wayward shots. Traps: only in one and it was quite firm. Love the layout of the course especially the front nine. We messed up some of the holes on the back side because of the lack of local knowledge. Good customer service. Definitely a MUST play !

Played in a GK outing with Bob, Mark and Jerry. Teed off @ 10:45 and took about 4 1/2 hrs but did not wait on anyone and did not get pushed by anyone. Greens and fairways were great but the rough was somewhat hit or miss. Other than about 4 puzzling tricked up holes on the back 9, I really loved playing this course. The away from everything, peaceful setting reminds me of playing La Purisima in Lompoc. Thanks again to GK for setting it up and to Bob, Mark and Jerry for an enjoyable day. Highly recommended.
