Early morning round - 5:43am tee time. (2nd group out ) Another "June Gloom" morning, with zero sun, but but pleasant temperatures, no wind, really delightful actually.

Easy check in. Course is in nice shape, fairways lush and pretty green, greens were very receptive, even spun a few shots back. A few of the bunkers were over watered and sloppy, but otherwise they were OK.

Not the most difficult course, but it's fun to play and provides some good birdie opportunities. I used o walk this course, but now I ride, which makes the closing holes much more fun to play. (Plus I don't even know if they allow walking anymore?) $32 for a senior to ride is well priced. The only downside to playing here is fighting the traffic home.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS COURSE!
Played here 6/15/19 with a 6:51 am tee time. Check in was fast and easy. Staff in the pro-shop and starter were all very kind and pleasant. Pace of play for my threesome was 4 hours 15 minutes. Now let's go to conditions.....

Greens- Amazing! Held all the balls very well, 90% of ball marks were fixed by people and everything rolled true and speeds were semi-fast probably about a 9 speed

Fairways- Green, lush and full coverage, couldn't find any dead spots. I was in a few divots but all had sand in them.

Rough- Green and playable not too difficult

Sand Traps- Some were a bit muddy and wet but as the day went on they dried out and were fluffy and I was able to get out of the 3 I was in. No rocks in them.

Tee Boxes- Only part of the course that needed a bit of work. All the par 3's showed some damage and were not level. Hole #17 had moved their tee box so it was level with no damage but it was a completely blind shot from the white's. I would have rather had an uneven tee box with a view for this hole than a level tee box with absolutely no view of the hole considering you're shooting off an elevated tee box way below.

Love this course and highly recommend it! It has some challenging holes but if you play consistently it's a course you can score pretty well on. Conditions were green and amazing and staff was very friendly. Saw the cart girl twice and she was pretty darn good looking I'll add lol.

Played Memorial Day in 4 hours. Course was in the best shape I've ever seen. Fairways great, rough playable and greens firm and fast. Definitely worth a visit.

Played Oak Quarry at sunrise on 5/28. For a 2nd round - Goose Creek was blacked by a tournament, so I went to Eagle Glen. They had an unadvertised front 9 closure for water jet aerating and a pileup on the back 9, so off to Dos Lagos I went.

Course is in pretty good condition, already looks like summer out here. Brown, hard, bumpy. But in general it is in decent shape. Fun layout, you can take some chances here. Went for the green on #9, put my driver 8 feet from the hole, and proceeded to miss the putt 2 feet left. Nice putt.

The greens are pretty good. Quick. Some holes still have evidence of aeration, and some are bumpy in spots. Most of the time they are smooth and fast enough. Fairways are firm, but lies are pretty good. Rough is non existent.

All in all, a nice bargain for a fun course.

Played early today. Started 20 minutes past tee time due to a golf outing that appeared to have started in the back 9 and and the starter had to delay players on the 1st tee. Disappointed about the disorganized start. Thought the delay would ease after the front 9 but the outing continued to play in the back 9. ??????.

The course is in very green conditions. Greens were still slightly bumpy from aeration. Some sandtraps were hard packed and you really had to hit down to get ball out of trap. Still was able to enjoy the round.

Played here 4/20/19 with a 6:22am tee time and with one friend. We were paired with another 2 some. Pace of Play was 4 hours 10 minutes. Fairways were good. Had good coverage and were green. Tee boxes were mostly flat. There were 1 or 2 boxes that had some damage to them. Rough was pretty deep and we lost a few balls at times because we had to look really hard to find them. Sand traps were decent. Water was a bit stinky on the course and hole 18 had duck poop everywhere on the green and fairways. Greens must have been recently punched. The ball was bouncing everywhere and it looked like a 15 year old kid's face after eating a greasy pizza. dimples everywhere! Give it another 2 weeks before judging. However, I did shoot my best round ever! I shot an 83 from the tips. Not bad for a 19 handicap golfer. 1 birdie and 8 pars. =)

The course is in the best shape I have seen in years. Due to rainfall this year, both fairways as well as rough is green and in good shape. Fairways have tight lies, but consistent throughout. The rough is not long, but has few bare spots. Staff is wonderful as always, both check-in and starter were both friendly and extremely personable. You can not beat the price with the quality of the course. POP can at times be a little slow, especially on the front nine, but overall better then most courses.

Played today with our regular Thursday foursome. Check-in was quick and staff always friendly. Teed off slightly after tee time as already waiting behind one group. Knew that it was going to be a long day after being stacked on the 3rd hole. POP was a grueling 5 hours. Marshall was on the course but seemed like pace did not improve.

The rains have helped the course conditions. no standing water or muddy areas. Fairways were nice and balls rolled when hit. Greens rolled true and were slightly fast. Bunkers were lacking of sand and hard.

One thing I love about their course is the reasonable green fees both regular and senior rates. Plus their online tee times do not charge a fee to use, not like most of the courses that now use Golfnow for online booking. And they don't require you to buuy a players card to get reasonable rates. I have stopped playing courses like Eagle Glen and Los Serranos due to this practice. Hope Dos Lagos does not follow this trend.

Belated review from our GK Cup match last Sunday, 3/17. Basically agree with everything tocho261 and sixpez had to say. I thought the greens were fantastic and the fairways were quite good too, playing much better than they look. The rough and tee boxes were a little less consistent, and the bunkers need some serious attention. (Thankfully, I wasn't in any.) Fun course and fun match! Felt great to get back on the course after one of the longest golf droughts of my life. As an added bonus, the superbloom of California poppies has exploded on the hills adjacent to the course! Huge thanks to tocho261 for setting us up with the time!
