Played in the match play on Sunday with Andrew1, Sixpez, and Its likeimsaying with a tee time of 716. I agree with everything that Sixpez wrote. I am a member of this golf course and I am usually playing this course every weekend since I moved to Corona. I wish the course would do more maintenance on the bunkers, because that is what I feel is probably the worst part about the course. As I usually play this course as the first group out, the bunkers are usually very wet and hard to judge. I was actually surprised how soft the sand was in the bunkers I was in on Sunday. I was worried about the conditions because the rains we had made the course very soggy and muddy. I'm glad the winds the past couple of days had dried up the fairways more and made the course more playable.

Played our GK Cup team match yesterday with Itslikeimsayin, tocho261 and Andrew1. We had a 7:16 tee time, but let another group go off ahead of us and we never really pushed them since we were playing our match. Fortunately, nobody behind us either, so we enjoyed a nice relaxed 4-hour morning pace.

The course was in good overall winter shape. The tee boxes are overseeded and the greenest part of the course, while the rest has kind of a semi-dormant look that actually plays quite nicely. Generous roll-out on drives and generally nice fairway lies, though there are some bare spots around the edges and not much rough to speak of. With tricky natural slopes throughout this course and the lakes/ESA hazards in play on almost every hole, you really want to play to the high side of the fairways or risk rolling into trouble. The greens were great. They were soft and holding shots well with morning moisture, while rolling true at good, consistent speeds. My only real complaint was the bunkers. They actually had pretty good sand (different types of sand throughout the course, though). However, it's clear the course doesn't drag or rake them often and it's up to the players. Every bunker I was in and looked at had tons of footprints, bird tracks and even pieces of trash/cigarette butts. If they just took some time to maintain every couple days, they'd be fine.

Dos Lagos is a fun and somewhat underrated layout in my opinion. The conditions can vary throughout the year and maintenance issues like the bunkers can knock a few points off, but there's still plenty to enjoy with the layout that has a few different sections of terrain as you go through the whole course. It's usually not too hard to find good deals here, too.

Played Fri mar 15th, had a 7:04 tee time so showed up at 6:20. Walked up to the club house and the lights were on and the door was ajar so went in to go to the bathroom. Almost got there and some worker yelled at me "you are not allowed in here when no one is here" , in a very nasty tone of voice, I said I was going to the bathroom and we got in a very loud verbal altercation. I said don't talk to me like that and it escalated. I had 40 minutes to calm down before teeing off, Check with Ruth was very nice and friendly, starter was nice and tried to recoup me to be a starter and marshal. The woman behind the food bar was real nice. The course was a hit and miss. Tee boxes were level but real hard, broke 2 plastic tees, fairways were hit and miss, cut short for the most part and ran, rough was just a mess, inconsistent and no real plan, just what ever grew, greens were fairly fast and rolled well. Two holes #6 and #18 need rework, both fairways slope towards the water and were cut real short and ran, balls hit 20 to 30 feet away from the water still found it. They really need to let the grass grow longer by the water, give the golfers a 10 foot a buffer so they have a chance. IMHO fixing #18 and having a golfer finish their round with a good feeling promotes them wanting to come back. PS I went back to the course Saturday and spoke to someone about this guy, apparently they know he has no filter.

Course not charging holiday rates, very refreshing. Course is in very good shape, green and quick greens. It was rather nice to play a hilly course in only 3 1/2 hours playing as a foursome. The 3 foursomes ahead of us moved right along. If only other courses in the area could follow the lead, golf can be done quicker than 4 1/2 hours. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!

Took advantage of the birthday special, so $15 w/cart is such a bargain. Staff was great, getting our twosome out after a couple singles, but before a foursome. Thanks ! As a result it was a very nice easy 2 hour forty minute round, with nobody behind us, and were always within a hole of the single - perfect.

A bit cold at 6:30 am, but no wind, so it was tolerable. Finally had sun on the back, so it was wonderful to play in shirtsleeves in mid December.

Greens were the best part of the course, reasonably quick, rolled well. Fairways were for the most part good, although thin at times. In two bunkers, both had plenty of well manicured sand. The only issue really were the tee boxes, many of which were thin.

I find Dos Lagos to be just a fun golf course to play. It's not overly difficult, easy to walk (Until you reach #14) and offers some good birdie opportunities, but still enough of a challenge to keep your interest. Even without the birthday special, $32 for a senior/cart is a good deal. Recommend this course.

This is one of the few times I have to admit that the bunkers were the better part of the course.

Played today 11/5. It's been awhile since I played this course. It appears that the tee boxes have gone dormant as they are extremely thin or they are overseeding them. The greens in very nice conditions, green and flat. They rolled fast. Overall good conditions. POP was a good 4 hours.

OK time flies. 7 years since I played here last (why - maybe traffic coming home). Played this morning in 3 H. We took advantage of the weekend Sr deal ($29). Greens were punched on 8/9 of this month and are still healing. Some of them are better than others and those had good putting speed, but I think at least another week? But overall, they were all playable. We found the tee boxes all clean and playable. No issues with any fairways, as they had roll out and great lies, all round. In one trap and no issues and heard none from others. Did not find much rough, but there are enough OB areas to compensate, should you get way off the fairway. Not to mention the lakes that can come into play. Customer service was excellent at all levels. Glad to revisit here, as I totally enjoyed the course and the layout. Recommended and we will be going back, before 7 years, for sure.

Brought two friends who have never played the course and there reaction was “WOW how come we don’t play here more often!”
