Played the course on Friday 10/8 and play here often. To start, the starter called us as the third group up on the tee as i am walking up to the first tee box. We wait and then he calls the group behind us to go. I think ok maybe he had a mix up so we let them go. Then he calls the next group behind them up. So I walk inside and ask him what"s going on and he tells me he called are group a long time ago and gets fustraited at me and tells us go right to the tee now and tee off which make the group on the tee box mad at us for jumping in front of them. Just poor Service to start. Then I don't think i have ever had this long of a round at Rec. It took 3 1/2 hours to play 9 holes of golf? I was with a foursome of walkers and we waited on every hole, not kidding, every hole. A very long round of golf (6+ hours of golf). The course was in ok shape. The tee boxes were hard to find a good spot to stand(uneven). The fairways ok shape. The sand was good as long as you didn't hit it near where someone else hit it like I did once and found myself in someone else's chunk of a rake mark. I can say that the greens were in good shape. But I do think that the quality of Rec has gone downhill lately, and with six hour rounds, I could play at that pace at a cheaper county course. Hope it comes back soon. I really like the course.
