Big thanks to Johnny and Indian Wells for another great year-end event. The course was in excellent shape and wherever my ball landed, it seemed like a good lie. Like many courses in the area, if you get too far off the fairway, you may be left with some uneasy side hill lies. Great grass coverage throughout the course and the greens, while firm, were holding shots. The green speed was a little slower than I prefer, but they were tricky to putt on and I struggled to sink putts outside of five feet. Bunker sand was near perfect and the collars of dormant Bermuda grass around them really gave the course a neat look. Great customer service from the valets to the beverage cart.

Course is in fantastic shape, even if the greens are slower than they appear they'd be. Greens are smooth, running medium speed and shots stop on a dime. Fairways are excellent. Rough was excellent. I love the visual of the dormant rough around the bunkers, which wasn't the case for the GK Event two years ago on Celebrity. Tee boxes were good/fine. All the bunkers I was in were all good.

This is already a gorgeous course and today it was just bathed in beautiful sunlight all day long. I swear they have some sort of trick to make everything look great here, because even in the middle of the day it seemed there were long shadows across the fairways like I love. I had a really great time.

Another excellent GK Event to end a fun 2015 full of outings. Thanks to Indian Wells for having us out there again, and Celebrity remains one of my absolute favorite courses in the Coachella Valley. I do hate there's only two par-3s and two par-5s, which is extremely odd, but it is what it is and it's easy to enjoy everything else here. In my opinion, it's the prettiest course out in the desert! The course, as always, was in excellent shape from tee to green. Bunkers had good sand, rough, tee boxes and fairways were all lush and green. The rings around the bunkers looked sharp with the dormant bermuda. The greens were receptive and much slower than the looked, but smooth on putts for the most part. It would have been nice to have them rolling a little faster, but that's a minor gripe. I think the bad green that Matt was referring to was #11. That one was definitely more pock-marked than the rest for some reason. Otherwise, great course, great company, great event!!! Thanks to Johnny, the sponsors (especially that guy who brought those cool calendars), the course and everyone who attended! Already looking forward to next year.

Played in the GK event today and had a blast like normal in these events. The course was in great shape nothing really to complain about. The course is a bit tight on a few holes and that can really mess up your score as it did to my group. It is crucial you pay attention to the gps view of the course which is provided on every cart. there are a lot of sand traps and quite a few lakes/streams that you can not see from the tee box. I was in many bunkers today and most where in good shape but i did run into 2 that were hard packed and hard to get under the ball. the fairways were perfect and the greens, with the exception of one, where in amazing shape. One green looked like swiss cheese lots of holes/divots everywhere but that is not the courses fault its the players. I love these event and I love this course only issue I have with it is 2 par 3s and 2 par 5s is not cool for such a nice course. give the people hope for eagles and aces. at least i got my Eagle today :) for now i cant wait for the next event

Played on black Friday. Played the yellow tees @ 6339 yds 70.1/127. The course was in pretty good condition, although the greens on this course were much slower than the Players course, and shaggier, likely as it was the last of the 2 to come out of over-seeding and hasn't quite got up to speed or top condition yet. As with the Players course some blind tee shots can make it difficult for someone playing for the first time, GPS lets you know where the group in front is. There are lots and lots of bunkers on this course and just like the Players course, they are strategically placed, both fairway and greenside bunkers. They were in good condition. It seemed as if a lot of greens were elevated requiring an extra club to get it there. Again greens were 2 tiered with some pretty big breaks on some. Both of these tracks are generally in excellent condition, but always very busy. Having said that our 930 tee time had us finished in 4 hours 10 minutes. Service is great, generally see the cart person every 3 or 4 holes.

11/16/15 - Played the Blues (6642/72.5/132) with Nickesquire in little less than 4.5 hours teeing off @ 7:20am. Took advantage of the all you can play voucher from UnderPar.com. Originally booked the Players Course at 7:10 and planned on playing Celebrity in the afternoon but when I told the pro shop our plan, they recommended we play Celebrity in the morning because there is a tournament in the afternoon on that course. The service provided the pro shop and starter was great.

I was surprised how busy they were considering it was a Monday but later found out that this is their peak season and they are busy every day of the week. However, pace of play wasn’t an issue.

The Celebrity Course on this day was cart path only. The course features great landscaping with great hardscape features. There are flowers in some roughs and I wasn’t sure if I could get inside those areas to search for a ball or not. I typically try to breakdown my reviews by tee box, fairways, rough, bunker, and green but in this case, I’m just going to keep it very simple.

A 10 of 10 in my books.

Already looking forward to my next opportunity to playing Indian Wells again.

Played the Blues (6642/72.5/132) with 2 nice guys out here for a sales convention from the midwest in 4 hours, 10 minutes teeing off @ 7am. The weather was excellent, slight breeze, clear and warming up as the round progressed. Absolutely beautiful course with flower arrangements surrounding many holes that add to the visual effect. Tougher than average layout, up/down hills and the large greens complexes are challenging. The course is just out of over seeding, so CPO for the next few weeks. I actually saw a few walkers today. This course would be a beast to walk as numerous holes are a ways from the last green. Unique layout in that they have fourteen par 4's and only two par 5's and two par 3's. Seems weird to play seven par 4's on each side. Normally, that would be a detriment, but the par 4's all have a different feel/look, so it works here to keep things fun and interesting. The tees were lush with most divots already properly repaired. The fairways were lush and provided good lies. They looked great since they were keeping carts off of them. The rough was lush. It was tough to locate your ball with the combination of the ball sitting down, the dew and the morning sun. However, I was usually able to get good club on the ball and advance shots from the rough decent distances because it was not super thick after the over seeding. The sand traps were well maintained with nice, fine sand. The greens looked and putted great. Medium fast, smooth and firm. More growing, watering and mowing them a little closer = They putted much better than 2 days ago. With 3 more weeks after over seeding, the conditions should be absolutely fantastic by the time the GK event rolls around next month. The customer service was exceptional. Something they do here that I have not seen at other courses is very smart on multiple levels. You get a voucher to purchase specific items in the restaurant at a reduced price if you finish your round in less than 4 1/2 hours. Makes the customer feel special, funnels them into the restaurant and gets their restaurant additional business. However, their $4 nachos were just Okay. Nice layout in excellent condition, definitely recommended.

Played the Blues (6642/72.5/132) with Wangster in 4.5 hours teeing off @ 720am. We played behind several 4somes, so we waited from time to time, but the POP was not bad. The weather was excellent, slight breeze, clear and warming up as the round progressed. Thanks to Andy for driving out for a fun round! The course is just out of over seeding, so CPO for the next few weeks. Unique layout in that they have 14 par 4's and only 2 par 5's and 2 par 3's. Normally, this would get a thumbs down from me, but they mix the par 4's up in such a way that it keeps things fun and interesting. Absolutely beautiful course with flower arrangements surrounding many holes that add to the visual effect. Tougher than average layout, up/down hills and the large greens complexes are challenging. The tees were lush with most divots already properly repaired. The fairways were lush and provided good lies. They looked great since they were keeping carts off of them. The rough was probably mowed higher than normal after over seeding. It was tough to locate your ball with the combination of the ball sitting down, the dew and the morning sun. However, I was usually able to get good club on the ball and advance shots from the rough decent distances because it was not real thick. The sand traps were well maintained with nice, fine sand. Only negative would be that the lining was sticking up through the trap on #4 in the middle of the trap. The greens looked great. However, they are still cutting them high after overseeding, medium speed at best. The customer service was exceptional. They have a large staff out servicing the golfers and customer service is obviously a high priority here. With 3 more weeks after over seeding, the conditions should be absolutely fantastic by the time the GK event rolls around next month. Nice layout in excellent condition, definitely recommended.

Played this course on 6/28 and 6/29 with our group of guys. Indian Wells is always one of the best experiences that you can find for a golf resort. They treat you like royalty here and the course is one of the best (my favorite actually) in the world.

The course was in excellent condition as usual with the greens running smooth for the summer and the rest of the course's surfaces in immaculate condition. While the track and layout isn't the most challenging as a whole--that's what also makes it fun. There are a number of holes (Holes 4, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14), if you can hit a good drive, that you get mad not making a birdie. As a amateur golfer, that's fun golf. There are also a handful of very tough holes that you must get through to keep a good score (Holes 5, 6, 9, 15, 16, 17).

Tip: If you play on Sunday, don't forget to try their brunch before or after the round. It's awesome.
