Played this morning and had a great time. Not sure why the courses on the other side of the freeway can't maintain their course like this one. Green fairways with good coverage and decent roll out, smooth and consistent greens, bunkers could us a little work as some had some peppbles in them but also nice sand.

First off Monday morning on a rather pleasant December day. Expecting cold weather, but the temperatures were actually in the higher 50"s, which for 6:20 is excellent.

The greens were generally good, but several did have some areas which had bare spots/bumpy. The fairways were consistently good, albeit on the thin side. The rough was practically non-existent! I was in two bunkers and they were both very nice.

Always enjoy playing here, staff is accommodating and rarely have any issues getting out early. Using the Moose Golf groupon makes for an economical cost as well.

Played 11/17 @ 9:48am as a 2some and finished in 4hrs and 10min. Seemed we waited on every tees but the flow was consistent so no issue with pop. Seems they are working on prep for the city champion... Continue »

Played 11/17 @ 9:48am as a 2some and finished in 4hrs and 10min. Seemed we waited on every tees but the flow was consistent so no issue with pop. Seems they are working on prep for the city championship to be held in early Dec so playing condition today were not ideal. Most tees had uncut growing grass and mostly wet. Fairways had nice coverage but many areas were also too wet. Also the greens were soft and wet resulting in visible footmarks everywhere making it very difficult to hold the line unless hit overly firm.
Conditions here are generally good but I'd probably hold off retuning until the preps for city championships are over.

Course is in nice shape, fairways are uniform and ball sets up fine, tee boxes being worked on but hey, you do get it up. Greens are still a little bumpy from punching, just enough so your ball will wiggle off line if not hit firm. Now for the sand bunkers, I was in one fairway bunker and 2 greenside bunkers, plenty of nice fluffy sand, problem, they are either using a machine to rake them or a rake with 4 inch tines. All 3 times my ball ended up in what looked like a 4 inch deep tire mark. They finally get nice sand but seem to have no clue how to manicure them.

Played Friday Sept 16th at 7:30 The course was in one of the best conditions I have seen it, but they had a scramble tourney after us and I know how they can "sometimes" neglect the greens, so be ware lol. No issues with tee, boxes or fairways. The traps were in exceptional shape, allot of sand and fluffy like I like it. It was so thick that I actually went right under the ball and it stayed in the trap, I closed the club face on the next shot, LOL I thought the greens were in really good condition. I like this course except for #16, They need to turn that into a 190 yard par 3 and to get the extra stroke back move the tee boxes on 13 all the way back to the bathrooms and make that a par 5. #16 is just a stupid hole, being a 190 yard par 3 makes more sense.

Played this morning and course is in the best condition I have seen it in quite a few months. Fairways were green and never had a bad lie, greens were quick and rolled consistently, rough was almost non existent and ball would set up nicely. I was in 5 bunkers and all had real nice fluffy sand about 3-4 inches deep. They were filling up the lake on 18 but never in the way of golf.

I don't play here as often as I used too, not because I dislike the course, or because there is anything wrong with the course/conditions/staff/price. It's because I dread the drive home and the fore... Continue »

I don't play here as often as I used too, not because I dislike the course, or because there is anything wrong with the course/conditions/staff/price. It's because I dread the drive home and the forever time it takes to transition from n/b 15 to the w/b 91. I mean it took me almost 1/2 hour to a travel a few miles. But enough about that.

Course is in good condition right now, green with plenty of grass in the fairways. Greens as usual, rolled true. Good sand in the two bunkers I found. Staff is as always very friendly and accommodating . With the senior discount, well worth the $$.

Played today. Hadn't been out there in almost a year and was pleasantly surprised at the condition. They're getting their water from someplace because it didn't look dried out. Always a friendly staff. Had an early start time but we got out even earlier. Ball sat up pretty well in all the fairways. Greens in good shape, not a lot of ball marks (Thank You fellow golfers!), sand traps fluffier than I would think. You can really bomb your drives on this course, especially the back nine. It got warm but the cart girl came by several times. Worth our drive from OC and the price is well worth it. Very enjoyable round!

Played there early Sat. 08/27/16. My first round ever @ Dos Lagos and it was a very good experience. Was surprisingly open considering it was a weekend morning (maybe I'm just too used to congested LA County/City courses). Got to go out as a 2 some as the 3rd group out w/ only 2somes in front of us. We finished in just about 3 hrs w/o any rush whatsoever. Guy I was with regularly hit 2 balls off the tee just for fun since the group behind us was 1.5 or more holes back.

Course was in decent shape. The greens moreso than the fairways but that's to be expected given the heat & time of yr. It's an obv. plus that the course management is good enough to keep the greens in top shape which not every course does.

The course has some challenging aspects (e.g. uphill approaches and some tricky tee shots over hazards) but they're balanced out well (wide fairways, easy rough, etc.) so that it's not too hard for the avg golfer. Overall, great value for the money. Nothing at all to complain about.
