Played a "birthday week" ($15 cart fee only +/- one week from your birthday) round here this morning with a 6:28 tee time. Paired with three others. Started on time and POP was good, around 3:50 total.

Conditions are very nice! Surprisingly nice. Aside from a few browned out spots here and there and some weird bare spots on one green, everything is very lush. Greens are smooth, soft, accepting of shots and rolling medium speed. The par-5 14th green has some weird areas that look like maybe birds pecked the grass away, but the pin was nowhere near there so it didn't affect anything. There might've been a little inconsistency in green speed from one green to the next, or perhaps that was just user error. Fairways are lush Bermuda and in very good condition, aside from the previously mentioned brown/thin spots in just a few areas. I had good/great fairway lies all day. Rough is also lush, not very deep most places. Bunkers were great, despite being wet early. Tee boxes great.

This seems to be a theme with me lately, but this is a course I had only played once (3 years ago) and didn't remember it being anything special. I really liked it today. Fun mix of holes with six par 3s and four par 5s. Also good diversity in terms of tight/wide open holes, elevation changes, etc. I only paid the $15 birthday rate today but I think I recently got an email that all morning times are only $33 anyway...great deal!

Played Dos Lagos on Friday July 8th at 7:30, Weather was a bit humid but it burned off. The course was in real good shape. I found level spots on all the tee boxes. They had the white tees moved up a little on a few holes so the course was playing a little shorter than usual. Was not in any traps so can not comment on those. The fairways were green and I had good lies, rough was not to penal. Greens rolled good, Had a decent day putting as I left many within 12" of the cup. I left my head get to me on 18, the marshal came by and said that a horn would blow in 5 minutes and dynamite would go off as they were mining the mountain next door. Man I could not get that out of my head on #18 tee box, made a mess of that hole (a par 5 and I took a 10) and still shot 91, Bad on my part. We decided to stay and eat at the club house. The service was great and I was very pleasantly surprised at the menu. I had the Tri Tip beef sandwich and it was very tasty. good job on offering move than just a hot dog. When I play here again I will without a doubt stay for lunch. It was a good day of golf and the Price was great.

Course is in excellent shape. Greens are smooth and very challenging with lots of undulation. This is one of the few courses that is maintaining their sand traps. All were in great condition and well maintained with plenty of sand. Price is reasonable and the staff is friendly. The only criticism is a lack of driving range. However there is a netted area to warm up hitting irons

Played early on Thursday and course is in real nice shape. Greens were fast and fairly hard, we all hit the green on 17 and left no ball marks (hard to do on a 100 ft drop). They had verticut some of the fairways with small tines so no harm no foul. Will be heading back soon.

Played this course on Cinco de Mayo. Last time I play this course they didn't have apartments next to the golf course. Got to course and found out shot gun tournament is about to tee off making pace of play a disaster. Got out as a single and was told by the starter to look for empty holes and play those and comeback to play the other holes later. Ended up skipping around and playing 18 in about 4 hours. Anyways about the course conditions. I thought the greens were average with some greens still recovering from aeration, fairways were clean and lush and bunkers had plenty of firm sand in them. Will comeback and play again

Played Dos Lagos Friday March 28th. Check in was smooth and off to the 1st tee we go. Check in with the starter and wait for the group in front of us to tee off. As I look around at the back 9 I notice its not too busy and play seems to be moving along. Not much of a breeze either.

Tee boxes were a bit chewed up, nothing too bad though. Greens were a not fast but not slow either. Fairways were in decent shape some thin spots but again nothing too bad. Lots of uneven lies. POP was extremely slow (5.5hrs). Group in front of us had a guy that must have been playing his first round. One of them also brought along their son for a ride along. Water on the front had all but dried up. Cart girl made sure we were hydrated. Back 9, by the time we got there, the wind had picked up making for a longer stretch of holes than anticipated.

Overall, course was in decent shape. Can't complain much for the price $33 @ 9am. Course does get heavy traffic. I believe they were getting ready to punch the greens in the coming week or so. All in all, not bang for the buck. Course is tight and does have quite a bit of elevation changes. Wind does not help much here. Tough little course tee to green. Greens not overly challenging.

Dos Lagos is a great course to play, IF you get out early and beat the crowds. The course is looking really nice after the recent rain, very green and lush. I didn't think the greens were all that slow, as the prior review indicated. While certainly not fast, they were quite reasonable to both speed and how well they rolled. Fairways much greener than when I played here a couple months ago. I didn't find any bunkers, but the sand looked just fine and was well maintained.

The staff here is generally very accommodating and friendly. Again, as long as you get out early, pace of play issues no none existent. I enjoy this course because it offers a number of fun birdie holes, but also a few really tough holes (#6, #13 & #14)

Played yesterday, 3-13-16, with GK’r Sydney 703.
It was a, very breezy, sun/cloudy, jacket off/jacket back on kind of day. I last played here a couple months ago when the rough was brown and the fairways painted green. Now everything is naturally green and is very nice shape. There are a just few clumpy areas on the fairways where new grass is growing. The rough is cut very short. There was a huge amount of vegetation removed from around the course making several fairways and greens much more visible from the tees. The greens were beautiful, somewhat slow, with very few marks. Even the 13th green was completely void of coot-poop and the lake water was clear enough to see drowned balls.

The newly renovated clubhouse is very nice. They now have a large banquet room and the pro shop/snack bar is well stocked. The staff working there is all very friendly. They have music playing loudly on the outside patio which overlooks the 9th fairway/green. It was great playing to the sounds of Foreigner, The Grateful Dead and more.

This has long been one of my favorite courses even though it is known to be slow at times. But yesterday might have killed it for me. They had us sandwiched in the middle of a men’s club with another club following them. It made no sense at all. There were backups of 2 to 3 groups at every hole. It took us a little over 6 hours to finish. We had started the round paired with a couple who bailed at the turn. They hadn’t seemed too thrilled playing with us anyway so we were very happy when we were joined on the 10th by Sid and Stefani. We had a lot of fun with them while waiting between holes.
I still like the course but will be much more careful in the future in finding out about any tourneys going on the day I want to play

Played on President's Day, at 7:30AM. I like their new club house. I got off to a good start, until a group of 5, novice players slowed our group down, (whack, whack), it scared off a twosome with us. so on a par 5, the 4th hole, we past them up. The tee boxes where pretty hacked up, with a lot of craters. The fairway was ok, it was firm but playable. the rough was cut really low and tight. Bunkers where racked and had good quality sand in them. the greens rolled med-fast and are firm. I like the lay out, because it give you a lot of different shots. The front 9 was less windy than the back 9. The back 9 allows you to play a lot of elevation changes. I have always like the course, so I will be back.
