I’ve never played this course before so I can’t compare the current conditions to previous rounds. That said, I thought it was in great shape. Greens, tee boxes and fairways were all in solid condition. Never saw a course marshal and the foursome in front of us were slow as molasses and could have used a kick in the “cart” but all in all a great day. Challenging course, beautiful views and I will be back. The rough was thick but hit fairways were rewarded with a carpet like surface for the most part. Greens seemed to hold well and I recommend this place! Quite a drive for me but well worth it!

Rode the Whites (6028/69.0/126) with Perry, Chuck and Dave for a GK Cup match in 4H, 15M. Watched some really good golf, wish I could have participated more in the making of it than I did. The weather was clear, sunny and mostly calm in the 70's. $79 a little stiff for during the week. Tees were bizaare. On almost every tee box, one side was like playing out of the rough, whereas the other side was thin and sanded? Had no challenges finding a level lie on all holes, but not close to good overall. Fairways were mostly good to play from. More winter thin than lush and a few collection areas had alot of old divots. Primary rough was lush and thick. Punitive in that balls sat down, but good in that it was so thick good chance errant shots did not make it to the native areas. Sand traps were mediocre. No rakes, and no issues with the firm fairway bunkers. I had several greenside sand shots and while the quality of the sand was decent, I thought all could have used more sand. Large poa greens were firm and medium speed. They looked great and held irons well. Hardly any ball marks because of the firmness. To me they looked quicker than they actually were. More impressed with the layout on each visit. Challenging course up/down rolling hills with large, undulating green complexes and several holes that feature great elevation changes. Very fun to play with lots of forced carries, but not so punitive that it beats you up. Drink cart out patrolling and there are only a few water stations on the course, with all closed due to COVID. The upgraded carts have Shark Experience GPS where you can measure to different landmarks. Would be a very challenging course to walk with all the hills. Nice all grass range and the customer service from all encountered was excellent. Definitely recommended.

After the GK Enagic outing was postponed, looking to get in some swings and finding a good combo of price, quality, and time availability was limited. Booked Oak Quarry at 12:44 pm on Wednesday, 11/11/20, realizing I likely wouldn’t finish. There might have been a chance if the course hadn’t been as busy as I’ve ever seen it (holiday crowd?), they weren’t ½-hour behind when I checked in (funny, they didn’t mention that at the time), and there were no marshals on the course – maybe they were letting the holiday players have fun. I did note that every trash can I saw on the course was overflowing with beer cans and bottles. Starter moved me up to play with a pleasant Korean couple and we had a relaxed round. Pace was consistently slow and we observed many/most players hitting from the wrong tees for their skill (shock!). We struggled through 14 holes before it got too dark to continue. Coming out of overseeding, the course is in very nice condition. Greens look and roll great with very few ballmarks. I was especially happy with the consistent quality of the green surrounds, as I didn’t hit many greens. These grasses were trimmed fairly low and were consistent to play from (and are NOT that darn kikuyu!!). Fairway lies were good, ranging from very nice to fairly tight. Bordering rough was a little longer (3-4Inches) but attractive and consistent. Some bunkers had weeds and grass growing in the bunkers along the margins, but mostly were adequate to play from, although they were ungroomed today. The course has started using the old hole #17 as the first hole, and temporary markers are used to keep golfers on the correct sequence. The scorecard reflects the new routing (but the nice interactive GPS still shows the old hole numbers. GPS gives the pin position – nice. With the numerous blind shots here, it would be useful if the GPS also showed the locations of other carts, but it does not. Carts are newer and very powerful and comfortable. Single carts available. Divot mix bottles were on the carts but empty, and par-3 teeboxes didn’t have mix containers. I wanted to play the yardage plates on the par-3s (the course frequently moves the markers on par-3s up here, possibly to speed play), but I never saw a yardage plate on any tee on any hole, although I’ll swear in the past they were used on almost every tee. With the new routing, the course is now a 35-37-72 with par-5s on #10 (the old #8) and #18 (the old #16). Another course, like Hidden Valley, where the #1 handicap hole is a par-3 (hole #7 [the old #5]). Missed out on playing "The Rock" now #16 - bummer. Always recommended.

I was excited to play this course as it's been on my list for a while. Check in was easy and we paid the $120 green fee. Teed off at 845am on 10/10. It was already backed up. The condition of the course is more like a muni. Not the conditions of a course that charges over $100. Tee boxes were chewed up with crab grass. Fairways were inconsistent with patches of dead grass through out. Greens were average with several divots. Some of the views are amazing but definitely not worth the drive or the fee. And like some of the other recent reviews mentioned, the pace of play is horrendous. 5.5 hours to finish. Waited on pretty much every shot. I'd look elsewhere if you're looking to spend the $$$.

Played here today, usually one of my favorites but course was not in its normal pristine condition. First only half the carts had gps and the ones that did worked all but showing yardage, asked the cart guy after round he said there getting new carts. Tee boxes had been butched short, fairways were tight lies, greens slow with lots of ball marks. Traps were normal COVID condition but hadn’t had a attention paid to them in a few days.

Played here Friday 9/4 with a 6:12 am tee time. Paid $108. Not much to say other than you get what you pay for in a GOOD WAY! Course is in the best condition I have ever seen it. Everything green, flat, repaired fluffed and smooth. Greens, fairways, rough, sand, tee boxes and water all 10/10/ Perfect score. POP was great at 3.5 hours. Would have been 3 hours if we didnt have to wait on 18 for the group to hit two tee shots each.....

haven't been out here in a while since they raised prices significantly after the pandemic hit. back out here at noon, it is HOT out there. Check in was fairly standard, covid so can't go in to the club house, check in at the door. Single carts available. GPS was turned off on all them though, which kind of sucks if you don't know the course. Starter was friendly in getting us out.

Course was in pretty decent shape except for the greens which were extremely slow due to recent verticutting. Breaks were also inconsistent as a result. Took me a good amount of time to get used to it. Tee boxes from the blues were always fine to play from, fairways were a touch thin but always good coverage. Bunkers were hard and full of rocks as is usual for this course, usually the weak point. Fringe areas were well maintained. Pace of play was a touch over 4:15, which is painful when it's hot out. No marshals, i think we saw the drink cart once early in the round.

Still one of my favorite layouts, if you haven't played it i'd say definitely time to get out there especially if it cools down a bit or you can get a good rate.

Out today for buddies 55th bday so we ventured out of my muni bubble to play Oak Quarry. The course was packed. Outdoor dinning and check in. Single carts ok with no up charge. Free cookie still offered at check in. Service was pleasant with all folks encountered.

The course is in good summer shape. Greens were a little bumpy running at 9. Fairways were in pristine summery shape. Traps were fluffy but understandably unraked. Tee boxes had plenty of divot damage but level. Fires got close by (across from hole #2) 2 weeks ago. Enjoyed our round but make sure to download app to efficiently and economically book your tee time.
