Played Saturday 9-3. Got out early but the heat still got us. By 10 am it was pretty hot and by noon it was getting intense. The course was in great shape. Greens held like no other greens I've played this year. Balls would bite in and stop dead. Made it easy to go right at the flag. Sand was the only negative. Wet and packed early and very firm in general. Many challenging holes but a pretty forgiving course. Lots of water to make you play careful and some holes that make you think about what the best approach will be. Enjoyed the course and would like to play again.

Played Sat 9/3...Had a fun round with mnehls86, CPennbo and SBogey. Conditions were pretty good and so was the pace of play around 4hrs. Some of the tee boxes were moved up in preparation for the Nationwide Tournament. They are hosting Patriot Golf Day this weekend, including Monday...don't forget to bring a couple extra bucks to make contribution to such a worthy cause.

In great shape just a few weeks before the Nationwide Tour stop here. Patriot Day green fee special that we could not pass up. The rough is getting thick and long in preparation for the tourney. Most of the greens rolling well with a few still very soft. Pace of play somewhat slow for us - 5 hours plus. Worth the drive and the money.

Played today and it was humid. course is in good shape but I don't think it would pass for the Nationwide coming up. They need to get it together and soon or they may be in the dog house with the PGA.... Continue »

Played 6/21. Fairways have not recovered. Greens are ok and roll good but have some type of strange fungus on them. Bunkers are very nice white sand. Really good bunkers. Locals told me the PGA ... Continue »

Played 6/21. Fairways have not recovered. Greens are ok and roll good but have some type of strange fungus on them. Bunkers are very nice white sand. Really good bunkers. Locals told me the PGA told the course to put in all bermuda fairways for the Nationwide tour event and that is why they aren't in good condition. New driving range is nice. I will wait a few weeks and see if the hot weather brings the bermuda fairways back. Good course just not in the condition it was last year.

Finally, a golf course with real fluffy sand in the bunkers, Nice. Course is getting into good shape. They tell you the fairway is coming back as they had over 20" of rain this year. The fairways are ... Continue »

Finally, a golf course with real fluffy sand in the bunkers, Nice. Course is getting into good shape. They tell you the fairway is coming back as they had over 20" of rain this year. The fairways are coming back. If it wasn't such a long trip I would play there at least once a week. Go out and enjoy.

I believe the review from 2/14. Played on the 20th and the greens and sand traps were great. No grass in the fairways, either hitting off dirt or mostly mud, it was great hitting a nice drive down the middle of the fairway and arriving at the ball and finding it on mud or in a divot ! This was a tournament club that I played in and our director called during the prior week to find out if the review from 2/14 was accurate and the Manager said No, the course is in great condition. I like Soboba, but I will not be back, they will not get a penny from me again. Greed is not Good as said in a famous movie.

We played this course on a Friday (11/12/10) starting at noon and didn't get the finish the round. This was our second trip to Soboba. The first trip was a crazy one as we dodged sprinkles as the course was getting ready for the Nationwide Tour. They were in the process of changing the grass so the course was in terrible shape and it took nearly 6 hours to play the round. This second visit we started at noon and the pace of play was so bad that we only made it part way through the back nine. Two visits and we still feel like we haven't played Soboba.
