My review applies to both courses. The grass is just about the best I have ever seen it right now. The greens were a bit inconsistent in speed but overall good as always. The bunkers are a different story. They are awful. It is so easy to skull it. 32 dollars for 36 holes to walk is simply unbeatable. This is wonderful news for penny pinchers like myself. They will aerify at the end of April.

Been playing at Prado for many years and always accepted it as the local "dog-track" but enjoyed it because of price and location. I have to say this course is now in fantastic shape. It is lush and green everywhere. The sand traps are a little hard, but that is about all that is wrong with it. Right now they have a $25 (cart included) green fee any day of the week (excludes weekend). If you haven't played in a while, it is worth checking out... The cow smell still exists however :-)

Lots of "scruffy" areas on the course, but those areas do not really come into play. (Or shouldn't) The greens while very nice, were much slower than I recall. ( I only play here once a year or so) I think all they need is to be rolled! I come here whenever I need a quick early morning round. Never a problem getting out first. The staff is always accomodating.

Played 03/07/09. I like the course itself, but the overall condition of this course is less than average. The fairways are fine, it's just not cut down low enough. It almost looks like its a primary cut, butttt it is green and I think that's what the course is trying to achieve... it runs OK. The same with the teeing grounds, it is lush, but it's pretty hairy, buttt then again it is "green" in color. The greens are the same way, lush and green in color and it is very bumpy and spongy and slow. it is typical of most muny maintenance... it looks good and green but plays pooly, but then again, I guess,, yeah just guessing they have to do that for looks and also accomodate high traffic and make the grass healthier and tougher... the course doesn't charge much for green fee.

Anyway, the course itself is a pretty fun course and a decent layout and has a nice clasic design. First time there, there are a couple of water holes that's hard to see from a distance and could sometimes come into play, but once you know it's there, it's a piece of cake. It is a great walking course and if you don't mind the unmanicured type maintenance, you'll have a good time like I did... it's really inexpensive and does the job for a casual round.

One more thing to mention. Play any day Monday through Friday in January for only 25 bucks with a cart. Also, you can make tee times as a single player. Take advantage of the deal before the prices... Continue »

This is your very average muni course. Starter said he'd get me right out, after about 30 minutes I asked again and he said they have no carts left. Told him again I was walking, and he said to hurry to the tee box, and try to join the group that just teed off.
Fairways are green, yellow, and brown. Good grass, dead grass, and dirt patches. Greens were bumpy. Smell of cows were here and there. Not too difficult a layout, although was windy and cold, which made it hard to swing with frozen hands.
This is a course to play for locals, as I wouldn't drive out of my way to come here, although will be back to check out the other course, Chino Creek.

Had an early Sunday morning tee time, it was cold and we had a frost delay. The starter worked it out by moving people around, so after some breakfast we were off. The course was wet, to be expected, but all and all it is in good shape. The greens are really nice right now. As the weather warmed up and the water started going away the course played much better, so my advice would be to not make your tee time too early until it warms up some.

Greens are like a carpet, maybe a slow carpet but very smooth. fairways are best I have seen them in years. Staff is the best. Only bad thing that continues is cart paths are junky,bumpy and gotta tear up the nice carts before their time. A fun day on a fun track. Oh,, its not hard, but it will beat you up if your game is off. We will be back soon.

Walked the course today. Was in best shape that I ever can recall here. Greens were slow but it did rain this morning. Other than that good vaule good shape. Well worth it.
