Played CH on 7/25/18, first time here in nearly a decade. Heat was rough, mid to upper 90s and humid. Fortunately, the group in front of us paid the extra fee to be able to search for every golf ball ever lost on the course - so we were able to enjoy the heat for more than 5 hours!

I had forgotten how brutally tight and unforgiving this course can be. If you get away with a bad swing here consider yourself lucky.

Conditions were pretty darn good considering mid-summer. Greens were plush and soft, to the point of being a bit sticky. Lots of ball marks to contend with though. Fairways were nice. Rough is hit and miss. Bunkers appeared fine, but I avoided them.

Bring your straight game - bombers beware.

Played late Wednesday evening as a single, teeing off around 5:00 pm. $15.00 rate using my players club membership, which also included a drink.
Overall the course is in pretty good shape. The greens were a bit bumpy that late in the day, but not too bad. Fairways were good, mostly green, great coverage. Tee boxes level and clean. Typical divots on par 3s, especially that late in the day.
Only played nine holes (got hungry), and pace was about 2 hours for the 9.
This is only the 2nd time playing here, and I thought it was a bit easier this time having a better idea of where to aim and proper club selection. No grip it and rip it here.
Unfortunately my family and work commitments only allows for infrequent golf, and I've decided 9 holes late in the evening is better than nothing, so I'm sure I'll be back out here a few more times during the summer. Can't beat the price for this course.

Played today. 1st off and we let the maintenance get ahead, so finished in 3 H. We took advantage of the Sr All Inclusive (range, green fees/cart, breakfast/lunch, soda, beer) for $54.94 and it was well worth it (had a great breakfast after). The new carts have arrived and they are very nice. GPS is not installed, so if you need it, you need to wait 1-2 weeks (personally, I don't really need a GPS here, having played it many times). I found the course better than OK (as previously stated) and think IMO it is in great shape. I also like, that the range is right there at # 1 hole. This is another favorite course of mine, due to the nice par 3's that are on the course, as well as the nice design of holes (what a great hole # 7 is, with its 150 drop from the top tees to fairway). Tee boxes were all clean/level and playable. Fairways provided good lies and roll all round. Bunkers were all cleaned (going on in front of us) and no one had any issues. Greens were all mowed/cleaned ( a little slow at start from overnight watering/dew) and got faster as the round progressed. They held shots, chipped/putted very nicely. I also noticed, that prior to mowing, the workers looked for and repaired, any divot damage (nice touch). Customer service was excellent at all levels (++). Recommended with an early tee time, as I noticed, it was busy when we finished.

I snuck out and played the back nine on Wednesday, 7/4 at 7:05am. Pro shop told me the GPS wasn't working in the carts (new carts arriving in two weeks), and then told me to use the sprinkler head yardages. Except, there isn't one yardage marker on the any of the sprinkler heads. Course is just okay. Multiple holes on the back nine look like each other. Fairways were okay. Rough is almost nonexistent. The edge of the one bunker I hit was fluffy, but then the middle of the same bunker was thin. Greens were slow. POP was 1:40 minutes after waiting for the two-some in front of me figured out they teed off on the wrong nine. I needed this reminder why I don't play here very often.

Senior special at Coyote Hills (see previous review) was honored on Friday, 12/29, and there were many golfers taking advantage. PoP very slow at 5 hrs and if you played here you'd know that anyone not getting off the tee in the fairway will be looking for and losing a lot of balls. The conditions are mostly semi-dormant Bermuda but we had good lies although you had to get ball first. Was in a couple GS bunkers which looked nice but had a firm bottom, meaning lots of bounce. Greens were the highlight for sure, quick and mostly true minus a few unrepaired marks. Overall, C-Hills tends to be a tight track and not walkable unless your part Sherpa, requiring your 'A' game to score well. Putting is difficult due to undulations and variable green speed, you had to be really careful as some rolls are firm and uber-quick. Still recommended for the Senior Special (60+).

The great 60+ deal still exists here at Coyote Hills: $55 includes cart, balls, entree + drink M-F. Conditions decent with greenish-tan Bermuda fairways and iffy lies in the rough, soft greens that were rolling at a medium pace but can be very quick downhill. Bunkers well maintained but a few un-raked foot prints which I honestly do not comprehend. Hilly with some space between holes so walking would be a challenge (I prefer to walk but took a cart). Some target golf so it's no grip&rip course for sure. Shorter, par 70 design. We got around in 4:15 with some waiting and a 7:30 tee time. All in all, a decent semi-tight track with some funky stuff thrown in, so if you know that before hand than it's no big deal. Recommended for the senior deal ... don't know about paying rack rate.

It has been a long time since I have played Coyote; probably close to 25 years. Not sure why but I guess the price tag never attracted me. Was invited out to a tournament on this Saturday 9/30 which was nice but I had no recollection of the layout. Fortunately, one player in my group plays here regularly and that helped. It was a slow day. Took just short of 5 hours to play and waited on most shots but I attribute that to some difficult holes. People spend time looking for balls. My friend whom I played with tells me his group is usually 2nd or 3rd off in the morning and always finish in 4 hours or less.

The course is in good condition. Bermuda fairways are in pretty good shape. As Weber mentioned, there are thin areas and but the fairways were cut down just right and for the most part, had good cushion underneath. Bunkers were in great shape with good firm sand. Tee boxes were chewed up a bit and were hard but many were uneven. Tough to find a good spot to place your tee. The Bermuda rough wasn’t too thick and playable.

Greens were in great shape. About medium fast and not a lot of ball marks which is always nice to see. They were pretty straight forward with very few undulations.

The course plays relatively short and there are a few holes that do not require hitting a driver. We played it from the blues which is around 5,600 yards but just because it’s a bit short doesn’t make it easy. Target golf on some holes so if do hit driver, you can’t spray it. The views are outstanding if you get a clear day.

As I mentioned, the $95 price tag kept me away but my friend tells me they have a senior rate during the week of $55 which includes lunch. That’s a much better deal. Recommend.

Early morning round at Coyote. I rarely have any difficulty getting out early here, as the staff as always terrific and accommodating. Every time I play here, I have a great time, as the course is just a fun layout which offers great views, several interesting holes and numerous birdie opportunities, coupled with great senior rates, makes it well worth playing.

Course itself is in decent shape. A few greens were a bit bumpy, and there are some spots in the fairways which were thin, but generally course is in nice condition. Not in any bunkers, but they looked OK.

Played for the first time on 9/10/17. Got a good deal off of teeoff.com for $62. For that price, it was worth it. Course condition was pretty good. Fairway and rough was lush and green. Greens rolled pretty well and took shot pretty well. I didn't get in on any greenside bunkers, but the fairway bunker had good amount of sand. Pace of play was a little less than 4 hours. The course was really empty when we teed off at 11am. No one in front of us all day. We let the single lady playing behind us go at the turn, and we didn't see her again! She must of been playing speed golf! Interesting course layout. Definitely a target golf golf course. And knowing the course does help a lot in playing. And also some good views on the front 9. Will be going back in October to play a match play with my monthly group. Outside of that, I'll go back if I could get a deal I got on teeoff.com. The rack rate of $95 is a little pricey.
