We played today and it has been a few years since we last played here due to the high cost. I agree with Slicers review but want to add our experience. Conditions were great throughout and pace was at 4.5 due to errant tee shots but here is the REAL DEAL......the senior rate is $50 which is a great rate but when we checked in they offered us a $56.91 rate which included lunch and a beer.......what? Are you kidding? We jumped on it and it was well worth it. The restaurant was packed after our round but service was great and so was the food. This is a super deal if you get a chance. The course is tricky and can sneak up on you so play the proper tees. We will return soon, maybe even next week with this deal!

Played today dreading the possibility of rain in the forecast. Fortunately the weather turned out to be great without a drop of rain. Been several months since we last visited this course.

The course is in very good condition. The fairways were drying out so your ball did run when it landed, failed to accommodate for this and some of my hits rolled out of bounds. Traps did contain decent sand, but was compacted down. The greens were soft and your shots held, but were hard to read as some were slow and some were medium fast.

Overall POP was close to 4 1/2 hours.

Played today in a POP of 3 H. Course is coming along nicely into the spring. No issues with tee boxes. Fairways had more coverage and less thin lies. Bunkers (some not all) need attention, as some are playable, while others are hard dirt. Some high rough outside the fairways, as well as OB and water to navigate, keeping your attention during the round. Greens were aerated and parts of them have healed, while you can still see remnants of aeration. But they must have put another layer of sand on all the greens, then watered, as they were slow all round, not like when I played 2 weeks ago? And Weber's review of last week, states no issues? Customer service excellent at all levels.

Always look forward to playing Coyote Hills, as it offers lots of fun holes, great vistas, yet provides enough of a challenge to keep your interest. Staff is accommodating and rarely have any issues ... Continue »

Always look forward to playing Coyote Hills, as it offers lots of fun holes, great vistas, yet provides enough of a challenge to keep your interest. Staff is accommodating and rarely have any issues with pace of play, providing you tee off early.

As prior review states, greens have healed nicely and rolled better than expected. Fairways lush, with only a few areas needing attention. Both bunkers I found had plenty of sand, well manicured. A few tees were a bit beat up, but generally tee boxes were fine.

Great rates for seniors and IF you play the appropriate tees, lots of birdie holes. All the par three holes are really interesting, fun to play.

Played today in a nice 3 H POP. Course was in very nice shape. Fairways are firming up and providing more roll, in addition to better lies. Bunkers were clean and playable. Rough is up around the greens and outside the fairways and sticky. Tee boxes all fine. Greens have healed nicely from the past aeration and now the back half of all greens have been done. All pins in the front of all greens and plenty of room and speed, as the first aeration was almost 70% of each green. Customer service was excellent at check in. Quality course IMO.

Played today in a POP of 3.5 H. Greens are still healing on half of all greens. So no more punching at present. All pins are in the back of each green. Pins have been moved since last week and we all noticed, the greens not aerated were slower this week (?). Fairways were a little drier this week, but still weak in roll and lies are, for the most part, still thin. No issues with tee boxes or traps on anyone's part. No rough but you always have the presence of OB, water and streams. Customer service was excellent at all levels. No rating due to aeration and recent weather conditions. The course is playable IMO.

They do half a green at a time, so it's only half bad...BUT what a gyp! No postings or announcements about the aeration, so I was shocked and bummed when I found out.

FYI. They have aerated/sanded 1/2 of the greens. Pins are all placed in the back of the green that is not sanded and that part of the green is fast on all holes. They did a nice thing with the GPS. They show the center of the green (bulls eye) when at your ball and distance to the pin. So if you can land in the non aerated area, you have good putting (and remember, the greens here are large). They have also raised the Sr rate from 48 to 50, for those who missed my last notice. Customer service excellent at all levels. POP was 3. 5 H. Tee boxes were all clean and playable. Fairways were hard (lot of roll) w/o lush/fluffy grass, so being precise with shots from the fairway are crucial (easy to skull one but great for hybrids). Very little rough, but OB and water as well as a few canyons to deal with. Traps were all clean and playable. IMO a very nice course to play.

First off, fees are now $50 for seniors and all inclusive is $55. Played in a nice POP of 3 H. Fairways are still wet in some areas (rain tomorrow/Thurs and ? Fr) and some holes should be CPO, but none are. Very little roll on most fairways, but had decent lies for the most part. Tee boxes are all fine. Sand traps are all very hard from the past rains (though dry) and not the best to play out of. Greens were all in very good condition. Held shots well. #15 green is now open and looks terrific. No issues with chipping/putting and greens had some decent speed to them. Customer service excellent at all levels. No rating, as the weather conditions are the true reason for course conditions.
