Played 9-25 Oaks-Stonehouse as the creek 9 is closed for maintenance. Got a free round with Golf Now points. Teed off @11:10 and finished in 3 hrs 15 min. as a single. Played through a couple of foursomes that were very polite and asked me if I wanted to go ahead.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Saw the cart 3 times.
Tee boxes were an issue. A lot of them were very beat up and not level. Number 8 on Stonehouse is the absolute worst tee box I have ever seen. Looked like they had run a rototiller over it! Mostly sand with a few blades of grass here and there not a level place to be found.
Most of the fairways were nice but a few had been over watered and still soggy @ 2pm.
The greens were nice -consistent-held shots well and had very few pitch marks. Not real fast but consistent. Bunkers were a little wet and compacted. Decent sand and no problem with rocks in the couple I was in.
I played Oaks first and loved the layout. Stonehouse on the other hand is just not my style. Too many blind tee shots and severely sloping fairways. Seems like they just stuffed in another nine were ever they could.
I will try it again if i can do Oaks-Creek. Might make a weekend of it and take some of kids. The men can play unlimited golf and the ladies can go to Spa day.

Played the weekend of 9/10 and 9/11 on a Stay n' play package. The course is in decent shape. The greens were a little bumpy, the bunkers need some attention too. I always liked this course but hadn;t been out here in a couple year. Rickie Fowler still has the course record on oaks/ stone with a 62... but someone broke his record at Creek/Oaks it looks like. Worth the trip if you can get a good deal.

I played Tuesday, June 7, at about 10:45 with a free round from Golfnow.com. I played Creek to Oaks, then Stonehouse. The service was great, and they had a deal where you got range balls, a bag of tees, and THEY change out your softspikes for $12.00. Course conditions were very good from tee to green. Lots of mature trees to negotiate if you go astray. The bunkers were consistent and well maintained. The greens were smooth and medium speed, except for the Oaks nine. which had been recently punched and sanded. I loved the Ted Robinson-designed Stonehouse nine, because it has lots of elevation changes as it winds around the hill. Pace of play was great on a weekday and I finished 27 holes in the time it takes me to play 18 on the weekend.

I played there on April 22, 2011 which is only the second time in three years. This course always plays long in the afternoon since the SW winds begin blowing very strong. The service and course was awesome. I played the on the Creek/Oaks courses. It seemed every hole bends making tee shot placement a must for any chance for approach shots at small narrow and well bunkered greens. If you are off the fairway the trees and long lush rough add to a challenging experience. Once on the fast sloped and benched greens, you find them to be well taken care condtions where touch is the key. Each green has two cuts of rough making chipping tough. I proud to say that I was not in any of the deep soft and sandy bunkers. Great place for tournament or time with friends. It was well worth the money. I say a must play when making a wine tasting weekend in Temecula.

Just finished playing all three 9's here and last reviewer is correct that Stonehouse is punched. We still played it anyway and the layout is exceptional. I cannot wait til greens heal...it's really challenging with tight fairways, uneven lies, blind tee shots, and brutal sloping greens.

Oak and Creek were in excellent conditions. Greens were fast and true. Layout requires many draw tee shots and the rough is not too penalizing.

Great course and we'll definitely return in the future.
