Played this past Sunday, 3/13, teeing off at 12:30 using the GK Coupon for $40 (free replay if you want). First off, this is a SUPER DEAL that I hope more people take advantage of. CrossCreek is in a great location and the layout is really interesting and beautiful. The fact that you can play it (and more than 18!) for $40 on a weekend is unreal.

I thought the conditions of the course were really solid all around. You could see some wear and tear on the shorter par 4's where drives might gather but I had nothing but fantastic lies in the fairways all day. I think I was in the rough once or twice and found it did it's job. It wasn't the US Open but it did cause some issues.

I was in a couple bunkers and found them great, lots of fun to play from. The greens out at CrossCreek are really tricky and it was actually kind of nice that they weren't lightning quick or hard as a rock as it could make for a tough day. I thought they rolled really well, held shots and provided a great surface to score on. Definitely a plus!

As for the layout of CrossCreek, I like it more and more every time I play it. I think I've played the same set of tees every time (Blues) but I can see how you could really get a cool experience by moving around. The shot values out there are really interesting and I think it takes some thinking to play a good round.

Overall, I'd give a big thumbs up to CrossCreek. It's a beautiful location to spend the day, the conditions were really good and the price can't be beat. Highly recommend and I will be back as soon as I can!

I enjoy the design of most of the holes on this course and how they are mixed up. Right now the course is in good shape a great time to play before the summer heat dry's it up.

Played this course on 3-10-2016. This is my 2nd time on this course. The course has the best conditions that I have seen this year. I played about 100 rounds per year on most courses around the So Cal areas. There were very few bare spots on the fairway. The rough were clean with few weeds. The tee boxes and the greens were very good. The greens were have very little rough spots and was just fast enough for a good experience. Most of the holes have forced carries and makes the play rather challenging, especially from the back tees. The course was a little far for us, but the good experiences really made the trip worthwhile.

Met up with GKer robertkpan for our GK Cup match today at CrossCreek. We used the awesome GK Coupon with the free replay in case extra holes were needed. We had an 11:30 tee time and were paired with another single. We had to wait on the groups ahead of us much of the day, but the pace was steady overall at just under 4.5 hours. Bob bailed after we finished 18, but I stuck around and played the front nine again. I might have been able to bulldoze my way through a few groups and finish my second round before dark, but I was content and left after 27 holes.

The course was in good condition. I won't say great, but definitely well above average right now. The tee boxes were fine. The fairways were mostly lush and fluffy with a few weak spots here and there. The rough was a bit more inconsistent with some areas being super thick and lush, while other areas were patchy or bare. No two lies were the same, but almost all were punitive. I was in a couple bunkers and the sand was fine, but there were footprints everywhere. Frustrates me that so many players on a nice course don't rake up after themselves! The greens were firm-ish (but receptive to well-struck shots) and rolling at medium speeds.

Always one of my favorite courses around and a great venue for a dramatic back-and-forth GK Cup match, especially on the never dull back nine. GK Coupon is a great deal. Look out for the weekend time restrictions to change when the clocks move forward next week, though. That's what the GM in the clubhouse told me when I checked in. Still a killer deal any day of the week!

Substantial wait on every tee box. Never seen that here before. Very "Coronado-esque". Everything is in pretty good shape...some of the greens a little bumpy and on the back nine three greens had some sort of poa annua budding growth thang going on.

Had another great day out at CrossCreek. Used the GKer $40 deal for a Saturday, great deal. Customer service was great, proshop gave us the deal, even though we didn't print out the coupon, I appreciate that. Starter "steve" was hilarious and nice. POP was a little slow on the front but then the back opened up and overall it was 4.75hrs, so not horrible. Course is still very playable for winter conditions. Teeboxes were mainly dormant and pretty wet, but always found a decent spot to put the peg in. Greens were a little bumpy, but very fast and held shots fairly well. Fairways didn't look all that great and had quite a bit of divot damage, but I think I only found one bad lie, so can't complain. Sand traps were very nice, found two of them, they just put in new white sand, so they were very soft, people don't know how to rake good sand, so beware. Not much rough to speak of, a little longer than the fairway but easy to hit out. Overall, get on out there and play, great track, two crappy holes , Numbers 13 and 16 suck, but 16 awesome ones to enjoy.

Played on Sunday, used the Gker coupon deal for $40, heck of a deal for a Sunday. Made a 11:10 teetime, but not too busy, so they let us go around 10:45, Brent in the ProShop was awesome, did a great job taking care of us. Starter was awesome as well, very friendly and funny.

Course is very playable shape, especially for the drought winter. Greens were pretty darn good, held shots very well, and wow were they fast, look out. They were a little bumpy toward the end of the day, but overall I enjoyed the greens. Fairways were good also, a little thin, so got some good roll. had a lot of great lies, number 2 is got a lot of divots, no cart path, so no one fills their divots. Teeboxes were just ok, a little thin on the grass dept. Nice and level, but some were soaked, had quite a bit of rain the day before, so it was expected. Rough not too penal at all, dormant and pretty short. I didn't find a bunker, but my buddies did. They were wet on top, but looked fluffy underneath.

Definitely get out there. POP was at 4.25 hrs, no problems with the POP. Waited a little bit on just about every hole, but not too bad. If you've never played this course, get out there. Front nine is absolutely sick! Back nine is a little quirky, but only a couple of holes are iffy, the rest are killer. Seems like it's just about always in great shape, I've never had a bad round out at CrossCreek. So peaceful out there, no cell signal, and no noise , awesome.

Played 10-26-15 a little before noon joining a threesome and playing in about 3 hours and 45 minutes for $24 from the courses web site. Tee boxes were in good shape and level. Fairways were a little thin but still gave nice lies. Rough was cut down fairly short and easy to hit from. Found one green side sandtrap that had plenty of nice sand. Greens were in real nice shape holding shots well and rolling medium fast. Fun track to play, wish I got out here more often.

Played Cross Creek on Saturday 10/24 and had the first tee time at 7am. In full disclosure I played the worst round of the year, I'll try not to let that skew my view but figured you should know. here we go...

First, if you've never been here, just be aware that it's deep in the mountain and cell service is spotty at best, so if you use an app for yardage, it'd be best to have a backup. My skycaddie worked just fine, but my partners app did not. Typically customer service here is excellent, but we must have gotten a rotten egg. The starter clearly had too much moonshine on Friday night because his only words to us were "Did you pay for those range balls" (uh, yeah?), and "you're the first group so don't hold anybody up" (thanks dude, for the record our POP was 3:15). I've played here 2 other times and that was my first bad experience, so i'll give them a temporary pass, but it's something they need to correct.

Facilities are about what you'd expect. The range is grass only which is nice, but it's a funky, spongy grass that doesn't resemble anything else on the course, but overall I'll take that over hitting off of mats any day. The practice green was closed when I got there, looked like there were putting down a topdressing, but it was just on the practice green. Carts don't have GPS so bring your own.

Onto the course. Cross Creek is really 2 different courses, the front nine is beautiful. Good mix of doglegs, uphill, downhill, and very fair. The back nine is target golf on steroids. Almost every tee shot requires a right-to-left ball flight (10,14,15,16,18 and you could argue #12 depending on the pin), and rarely can you actually hit a driver. Holes 16 and 18 are clearly "squeezed" into their area and are boarder line unfair. For example, 16 is a short par 4 with a slightly dogleg right, there's a water/marsh hazard guarding the right side and a steep slope on the left. Every tee shot, no matter where you hit it, will kareem down the slope to the far right hand side of the fairway, where you're partially blocked out by a group of trees. Bad design.

Other than the rough the conditions were quite good. Tee boxes were basically level, never really had a bad lie in the fairway and the greens were excellent. Not the fastest in the world, but very smooth and every green was consistent. The rough was not good. Lots of bare lies and a few times I was in a pile of dirt that should have been GUR but wasn't marked.

It's an enjoyable course, and for $45 on a Saturday Morning you simply can't beat the value. now my performance on the other hand......
