Early morning four hour round on a very well conditioned course. The staff and facilities are always top notch. The tee boxes were all in good shape with a couple being slightly sloped and scarred up from the golfers. The fairways have excellent coverage with great lies to hit from every shot. The rough was fairly thick and pretty damp from the overnight showers. You could hit shots from the rough but would be penalized yardage every time. The traps were wet and damp with many having standing water in them. The greens were all in excellent shape and held shots nicely. Most all the greens rolled great with only a couple being slightly bumpy. The views from the course are nice and fact there are no homes along the fairways is nice. Highly recommended!!!!

Played 12=20-17. I was in the area for the day and chose Temecula Creek to try out. Started a bit off with a frost delay that pushed everything back. There were no balls in the range ball machine and after they finally refilled and I warmed up I went to see how much longer I would have to wait and the starter could not find me on the sheet. Fortunately a 3some was headed out and I asked if I could join them. He said sure and off I went. The first 9 was Creek. There was a tractor spraying the fairway green ahead of us. After that I did not see it again.
The course was just an up and back style. Not the most exciting layout. Greens were fast and I mean fast. Tee boxes were chewed and up but level. Fairways were thin but very playable. Bunkers had dark sand in them but were fluffy and in great shape.
Second 9 was Oaks. Immediately noticed the fairways were much greener and lush. Greens still fast and challenging. Same material in bunkers. The layout was more interesting. Not many straight holes. Lots of right or left bends. If you can shape shots it would be a big advantage. The trees present a challenge and if you miss the fairway you need to go under or around.
Over all enjoyed the round and would be interested in checking out the 3rd 9 sometime.
Would rate the course a solid 6 to 6.5.

I play here every December with a group of about 36 guys. There are a number of reason everyone enjoys this place. They have 27 holes, always in good shade, and a nice variety of holes. The Hotel, food, and service are excellent and well priced. We played on December 3-4 in perfect weather. The conditions are not perfect but I will say they are all in fairly great shape. I think the value for the dollar here is great and there are deals out there now that can't be beat. The greens were excellent, tee boxes were nice with a few unlevel but not terrible, fairways and bunkers played nicely with only a few areas marked GIR. Service is friendly and casual. We have been coming here for over 10 years and will probably do it for another 10 as long as they continue to deliver value..........

Played here Saturday 10/21/17, on Oaks / Stonehouse. Overall, excellent conditions on these (2) 9's. TCI has (3) 9's (Creek is the third). When calling for a single tee time, Pro Shop was accomodating and suggested I play Oaks / Stonehouse, as Creek was still recovering from aeration. Good service in Pro Shop. Cost for my Saturday 830am round was $100. A little more than I would have been comfortable with, but at the end of the day, was very happy with the overall experience. First green on Oaks was slow and bumpy and I was a little concerned. However, the next 17 greens were almost perfect. (One of the local guys I was playing with indicated green on #1 Oaks has always been a bit of a problem). Rest of greens were smooth, rolling nicely at medium pace, and were receptive. Fairways were good to very good. Wet or bare spots were appropriately marked as GUR. Rough was fair, not overly penal, and well maintained where ever I was able to inspect. Bunkers were very good. Plenty of sand in all greenside traps I was in. Not the nice white, light sand you'd like to have, but very playable. Layout on Oaks is challenging, but mostly straightforward, with a few slight bends which required well placed tee shots for proper angles to green. (#4 was tricky, with large oak, not visble from tee, guarding the left side. Got to try and play that one along right side) Stonehouse 9 was more challenging (toughest of the 3 nines according to the locals and ProShop) with more blind shots, and elevation changes, but also in excellent condition. Enjoyed both 9's. Not two holes alike. Par 3's were a little redundant, but nothing to complain about. Recommend.

Played 4/18/17 @ 12:40 - for the first time ever due to a Last Minute Golfer Hot Deal price of $51 per person w/cart...couldn't pass it up, and I've always wanted to give it a go. Checked in and was directed to The Creek course and Stonehouse course. To quote GK aeration alert: schedule Oak Nine 4/6 - 5/8, Creek Nine 5/9 - 6/11 and Stonehouse Nine 6/12 - 7/10, Oaks 9 was closed for aerafication. Very nice facilities. Beautiful Pro Shop and pleasant staff. Driving range, off older mats was a surprise for such a nice facility. The starter was helpful in giving advise for us first timers as well. We went out as a twosome behind a group of 3. Course was quite full for a Thursday afternoon. Started on the Creek 9, (my fav of the two), as it was in pretty good shape, not a lot of water hazards, park-like layout. Tee boxes were in good shape, fairways rolled out nice, minimal divot damage. A few areas heavily soaked with water/muddy/standing water...one sprinkler obviously leaking. I was only in one greenside bunker and had no issues getting out of it. Greens varied from hole to hole...some soft/receptive, slow to the hole; and others firm and medium/fast. Hard to get dialed in. Surprisingly quite a lot of unrepaired ball marks...so frustrating. Can't understand the lack of course courtesy/etiquette. Concrete drainage zig zags through the fairways so missing them so your ball doesn't ricochet off to Egypt is a plus. Rough was playable; not too penalizing, about 3 inches. Course crew out in force doing routine maintenance. Pace of play on this 9 moved right along. We then proceeded to the Stonehouse 9 (named aptly due to the Stone House on Par 3/Hole 17, they eargerly advised us upon check-in w/starter, is available for special events rental. Okay :) Cool Cool. Nice to know. By the time we started this 9 the typical Temecula winds had flared up with a vengance. Hole 1 a blind mega dogleg up hill to the left. I can see where players in front could get hit up into very easily (no GPS on carts, which would be nice especially if they showed whereabouts of group in front of you ;) Did I already mention this 9 is like a movie, "Beauty and the BEAST!! Course knowledge a definite stroke saver, but even playing with someone "in the know", the fairways sloping right/left/up/down with blind shots throughout quickly turned my stellar round to a frustrating mess quickly. I was told playing from the tips was a real adventure! Fun yet a real challenge to your A-game. I felt this set was in rougher shape probably due to the increased play from the Oaks being closed. Much tighter fairways, so rolled out quickly/long. More unrepaired fairway divots. I wasn't in any bunkers but was told they were on the thin side/wet/compacted underneath. Tee boxes showed wear as well. On several of the forward tees it was hard to get tee down in. Strong winds resulted in cavetating balls on tees and movement at address on the greens. Made this difficult (beautiful) 9 even more treacherous. Greens were not too bad. Ran faster than the Creek. Forgot to mention while waiting to tee off Hole 1 on Stonehouse, we invited the twosome sent out after us, to join us; naturally slowing our pace, but was nice to have them play along. May have to go back for a 'redemption' round if we snag another 'Hot Deal'. Nice practice green area. Cart girl pleasant/attentive. Overall, an enjoyable golf experience. Hope to get back and give the Oaks 9 a go. :) Just this novice golfin gals 2 cents.

Played here on 4/9. Elected for the Stonehouse/Creek 9's as apparently the Oak nine was being aerated (although the greens I saw looked fine?). My first time here and I really like the place. The Stonehouse 9 especially is worth it by itself. Tight driving holes, meandering through an oak forest. Several blind tee shots and doglegs. The creek nine was more of a traditional parkland style, still enjoyable though. Tees: Really good. Some divot damage on the par 3's but that isn't a big deal or surprise Fairways: Really nice as well. No uneven lies, ball sits up nicely. Rough: Was very playable, maybe even too much so. About 1.5 inches. Bunkers: Very nice, just the right amount of dark brown sand to splash it nicely. Greens: The low point for me. They were still nice don't get me wrong, just not what I expected for the price. Ran a steady medium speed, a little bumpy, and definitely tricky to read. Overall a really nice golfing experience. Combine that with the inn and decent restaurant and this would be a great place to explore Temecula from. The rack rate is a little steep(70$+) for what the course is IMO though. Would play CrossCreek over this tbh but its still a recommend overall from me.

I played here with 36 others on Sun-Mon December 4-5, 2016. My group has been coming here in December for many years. We always return because the Hotel, Course, Service, conditions, Food, and the course lay out are all excellent. We play all over California and this is one of our very favorites. The weather was perfect this time around. The Golden State Tour was also playing here so you can imagine how nice the conditions were for us. Tee boxes were all level, Greens were fast and smooth, fairways were lush but a little thin and they had a few areas marked as ground under repair. The course layout is really fun and fair however, there are a few holes that you need some course knowledge. Driver off the tee on number 4 Oaks could put you right behind the tree in the middle of the fairway unseen from the tee. If you are looking for a nice place to stay and play I highly recommend this place.

Quick 3.5 hour round in the cold and wind this morning on a course that never disappoints. Staff is always top notch and professional and facilities are very nice as well. The tee boxes are generally level but several were very firm - making it hard to place a tee in them. The fairways are in great shape with a few tight lies on many holes, but very playable. The rough was not too thick but long enough to keep shots in play. Sand traps were well conditioned but a few were very wet - making play from them difficult. The greens were holding shots nicely but seemed very bumpy with some slower than others - made for a frustrating round on and around the greens. The scenery and wildlife on this course add to the quality of it - I always recommend!

I've always wanted to play this course, seeing it off the 15 freeway when I was driving north to play other courses in the Riverside area. Finally got a chance to play it during a morning tournament on Saturday, playing the Creek-Stonehouse combo.

Creek was kind of damp from the recent rains. There were a lot of gnat creatures flying around, doing annoying things like buzzing into my ear just as I was about to putt. I felt like Creek was sneaky-tight. The holes looked open, but stray a little bit from the fairway, and all of a sudden a small clump of trees that looked innocuous from the tee box was in the way of the approach shot. Where is the creek on that course, by the way? There was a couple of ponds on the 9th hole, but otherwise I didn't see any water.

On the first two holes of Stonehouse, I felt like a cartoon character with a bunch of question marks around my head. Our group had no idea where to hit the blind tee shots on #1 and #2. The course got more straightforward after that, but there was still some tricky elevation changes, including my least favorite type of hole in golf, an uphill par 3. The Stonehouse course finishes with a very nice par 5 with a great looking water feature by the green.

Overall, the course was in very nice shape. The fairways had a couple of ground-under-repair spots, but was otherwise cut low and very nice. Greens were superb, holding shots after the recent rain but still putting at a fairly quick pace. My only complaint was the lack of sand in the bunkers. It felt like there was barely a quarter-inch of sand, and I kept blading my greenside bunker shots because there was nothing to dig under. I finally had to resort to just chipping it out. I preferred the Stonehouse nine to the Creek nine, both because of the more interesting layout and also because the higher elevation seemed to get us away from the bugs flying around. It did get hot in the higher and more sun-drenched Stonehouse portion, and I was dying of thirst before the beverage cart finally got to us on the 7th hole. All in all, it was a nice experience, and I want to come back to check out the Oaks nine.
