Played with a group of the old softball guys Saturday morning in about 4.5 hours Creek to Stonehouse. We teed off an hour late due to the frost delay which are common for this time of the year. The staff was great and the practice area adequate. The golf carts are in mediocre shape but was told the fleet was being replaced the first of the year. The tee boxes were all in excellent shape with total coverage and level. The rough was just long enough to hold up off line shots but short enough to hit from if you found yourself in it. The fairways were all very good with GREEN GRASS which is lacking from so so many courses nowadays. There were a couple of tight lies on the Creek nine but still very good. The traps were all in need of a raking (looked as if they had not been touched in days) as our groups had to remove anything that found its way into one. The greens were the BEST I've played on in a very long time. They all were in excellent condition with few ball marks and held shots good and rolled very smooth and were really quick! The players club card they now offer is a great deal for those wishing to play here during the year. Definitely recommended even at the rack rate.

Drove to Temecula from OC Friday morning for an 8:30 tee time. Unfortunately the predicted overnight low of high thirties turned out to be mid twenties. You guessed it, frost delay of an hour. To my surprise I received a call from the course about an hour before my tee time to inform me of the frost delay. Now that is good customer service. All the staff were very friendly and organized for the start of play. The driving range is open along with a practice putting and chipping green.

I played the Oaks and Creek nines. The greens rolled medium/fast and smooth. Shots held other than the first few greens being a little firm due to the frost. The fairways had very good coverage overall. The rough was good. The length was just long enough to affect shots. The bunkers had good sand quality it just appeared they aren't raked regularly. A couple of my playing partners dropped outside the bunkers but I just smoothed a spot with my foot and dropped the ball in the bunker. From the drop they played very good. The tee boxes were in good condition and mostly level. Overall an enjoyable track. Personally I enjoy both the Oaks and Creek to the Stonehouse nine. Definitely worth the drive from OC.

10/14 using a teeoff deal time $36 walking. It had been over 20 years since last played here and in my mind the course was a lot flatter. Played Stonehouse/ Oaks with Stonehouse being the hillier and tighter of the two. SH has not yet been re-conditioned so fairways are more on the firm side but with ok cover and ok lies. Rough not overly long but sticky. Tees mostly level thin and hard in some areas. Sand is covid stomped even having been groomed.. Greens receptive medium medium fast and subtle no one in our group had much success outside of 10 feet and the 3 footers were no gimmies. Oaks recently came back into play after reconditioning and was in really good shape with better coverage overall. Greens were even healthier maybe a tad slower but really nice.
Friendly staff easy check in. No GPS mats on the range and large practice green 1/2 for putting and 1/2 for chipping. Cart fee would be $20 or $10 for 9. 27 holes when all open. Oaks is more open and has little elevation change. SH has hills more doglegs blind shots and is tighter with more trees. POP at about 4 1/2.

Out early at TC on 10/15. Played the Stonehouse/Oaks rotation in just under 3 hours as a threesome.

Course is in very nice condition. Greens are very good, quick and quite soft. Fairways and rough pretty good, every once in a while you'd find a bad area, but not too often. Tee boxes were very good.

For some reason they are completely ignoring the sand traps. I didn't get in any fortunately, but my playing partners just tried once and then took drops outside for the rest of the round. Really surprised the course doesn't at least have the crew rake the sand once a day, that would be the only negative for an otherwise really nice morning at the course.

I finally had a decent score on the Stonehouse 9. I still think that is my least favorite 9 holes in SoCal. I think the tee shot on #1 just immediately puts me in a bad mental state. It requires a giant slinging duck hook. I fade the ball. Today, I decided to just tee off with a 3w on this Par 5. Hit a nice stinger, maybe 10-20 feet inside the left tree line. Stays right on that line down the left edge, and I think I have finally hit a good shot on #1. Walk down the left edge of the fairway....nothing. Center of the fairway...nothing. My playing partners yell that there is a Titleist just short of the right bunker. That's me....a straight ball off the tee down the left edge ends up nearly in the bunker right of the fairway. I hate that tee shot.

Except for the #1 Stonehouse tee shot.....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Played the Creek/Stonehouse combo and the courses are in great shape. Greens rolled fast and were in great shape. Fairways were perfect and the rough was uniform and good. Sand was unracked and could be hit or miss but that is typical with Covid. The greens were as good as any course in north SD or Temecula that I have played recently. Really fun and well worth the $45 dollar green fee. Only issue was the $20 a guy for a cart fee.

Get out and Play the Creek, great conditions now.

PLayed yesterday, Friday, 5/8 with 1:15 teetime. Just me and my brother went out as a twosome. Played Stonehouse/Oaks. Course is darn good shape all around. Nothing outstanding, but everything a solid 7/10. Check in was easy, paid the 20$ cart fee when we arrived. Starter got us out a little early. They had 15mins spacing, so POP was great, 1.5hrs on Stonehouse and then 2hrs on Oaks as we encountered a slow twosome, so we played the par 3s twice.

Teeboxes were nice and level, not much divot damage at all.

Fairways had great coverage. never a bad lie all day.

Greens were good, held shots well. but they were a little bumpy. perfect speed, not too fast and not too slow.

Rough was pretty brutal. Thick and lush. tough to advance the ball properly. Rip a 5-7 iron and hope for the best.

We played the bunkers as GUR, I was in two and my lies were impossible without being raked.

Customer service was good. Saw beverage girl twice. We were asked to put our mask back on by the road crossing, but otherwise they didn't hassle us. Impossible playing with a mask on when it's 90degrees heat.

All and all a great day. $35 green fee online plus $20 for the cart is an excellent deal for this course. I really like the Stonehouse/Oaks combo. Great layout. Stoked we can play again.

Played TCI Sunday afternoon of reopening for my first time out since the shutdown and it was GREAT to BE BACK. A lil Strange to see a physical divider in clubhouse at checkin and to sign waiver to play golf but thus is life right now. Masks worn everywhere around clubhouse and people spaced themselves adequately on and around putting green. Course was understandably busy and our tee time was delayed by 30minutes. Once out Pace on the Stonehouse 9 was probably 2:45 but only 2:00 on the Oaks 9 late afternoon. Carts were available but walking was highly recommended and a majority of golfers we saw did. Weather was warm to start but the breeze kept it pleasant. Back 9 golden hour(s) were heavenly. Such a peaceful serene course. Thoroughly enjoyed each 9 for different reasons. Stonehouse is definitely the most impressive and difficult with significant elevation changes on a majority of holes. The yardages to the landing areas can also take the driver out of longer hitters hands so it can definitely be a frustrating challenge to some. Oaks 9 had some really interesting holes and conditions seemed slightly better even than on Stonehouse 9, although I had few complaints there either. Greens rolled excellent and true and Tee boxes were some of the best I’ve seen in a while. I’d say 80% of the fairways were like a fine carpet. Rough was thick in some places but very playable throughout. I didn’t hit out of a bunker but several playing partners did and the sand was white and plush. I noticed one bunker with some water erosion but overall I’d say above average for the IE. Cost here is also slightly above average for the area but I’d say the conditions and pastoral scenery make it well worth it. Highly recommended. (Didn’t play the 3rd 9 Creek)

Played Oaks/Creek this past Sunday in a mid morning four hour round. That is great for this course on a weekend with the usual guests which were mostly absent. The starter let us know the rain had made the course a level below the standard (definitely way below). The staff is always great and professional. The tee boxes were a little thin and a couple you needed a hammer to get your tee in the ground. The fairways were mostly very, very sad. The usual green fluff was replaced by thin, dry green painted turf. There were several holes where the rough was the place to play from. Most approach shots were played from dry (dead) grass with hard muddy turf underneath. The traps were all in great shape with plenty of high quality sand. Its would be great if those golfers who were in those traps would use the rakes provided and RAKE them! The greens were in fantastic condition and extremely quick. The greens have subtle breaks that are difficult to read. I would give it at least a few weeks before this place shows improvement. Definitely not worth the rates being charged under the present condition.

I played here yesterday with 31 others. We have been returning to TCI every December for the past 10 years. With the recent rains this is the worst i have experienced the conditions. Here is a break down of what it is like right now.
greens-excellent rolling fast a smooth 9/10
tees-wet, long, chewed up but level 6/10
Sand- was overall pretty good but a little wet right now. 8/10
fairways-On Stonehouse and Oaks you could find a dry place to hit from. They should get better if the rains subside and the mowers can get out.
The Creek Course is a mess right now. Since it is much flatter than the other two nines the water does not drain well. I went into the pro shop on and told them i thought they should close the Creek nine as i thought it was nearly unplayable. We did end up having to play it in the mud but when we finished i overheard them saying the Creek Course is closed now. We would have much preferred playing the Oaks course but enjoyed our time and will be returning next December if the new owner(Pechanga Resort) will have us.
