I was anxious to get back out to Marshall Canyon to see just how much the recent winds changed the appearance of the course, having been advised so many trees had been blown down. While there were certainly a number of stumps, and a lot of debris still all around the course, I must say that the course did not provide any real visual change. Perhaps if I played here every day, I might notice the absence of the downed trees, but thankfully the course still looked pretty much like always.

The greens did not look fast, but they rolled out much more than expected. They were not smooth and need to be rolled. Fairways had decent coverahe, but many areas which are thin/bare. The rough throughout the course and areas adjacent to the tee boxes still have a lot of debris around them. Almost every green had the collars/aprons covered with sand, so it appears they are attempting to improve those areas.

Always love playing here. Fun course, great price for seniors, nice vistas, and this morning there were deer everywhere. The only downside for me was after walking the front in a little over an hour, the back nine was packed with "back nine" play. Difficult to maintain a rythem when you're waiting on every shot.
