Played 10/20/24 12:30 POP 4:30 Was in the area on business and had never played here. Course was a mix of conditions. Some fairways and or sections of fairways were in great shape. While others were not. All had mostly good coverage. Some thin with a mix of clumpy grass and other parts perfect. Greens were the same. Some great, some not so much. All were very slow and bumpy from past aeration remnants. Greens have some pretty big contours in them. These greens would be very tough if ever in firm & fast conditions. Everything still very playable, just inconsistent and a mix of playing conditions. Was in a couple of traps and they were in good shape. Many tees are uneven with small teeing areas. A fun & interesting layout with elevated tee box's or steep up hill holes. Driving rang small with those weird small range balls. Very small chipping/ putting green that was in not so good shape. In playable condition and worth a look if in the area.

Played at 1pm on Thursday, 2/15/24, after booking a time as a single on GolfNow. Hustled over after a medical appointment that morning and arrived about 10 minutes before my time. Lo and behold, the sheet was running ahead(!) – the single I was to be paired with was long gone, and I was in behind a 4some. They let me play through on #4, and it was smooth sailing to #10, where I found myself behind several groups and waited on every shot on the back nine. Overall time was just over 4 hours.

Conditions were OK. Carts are comfortable with an interactive GPS that gives F/M/B distances to the green, and in green view has those ‘heat’ diagrams that show slope – the kind I have no idea how to read!! Since I don’t play here regularly, I was fooled a few times by seeing slopes/breaks visually that weren’t there, so the ball was heading away from the hole frequently. GPS does not show the locations of other carts – you need to be careful on several blind shots around the course. Saw the cart girl several times. Skipped a stop at the clubhouse at the turn, trying to push forward and finish before dark.

Greens were just OK, thin and pretty firm and rolling quickly. Lots of small debris on the greens from wind or mowing, and most greens had obvious large areas of different/patched turf. All greens had several unrepaired ballmarks scattered around. Fairways generally had good coverage and provided good lies and rollout. Rough was patchy and unpredictable as to what you would get. Tees (I played White [6,000/69.0/124]) were level and in good condition. On the par-3s, tees are set up narrower and it’s more of a challenge to find a level, suitable area to put your peg. I was in 2 greenside bunkers – the bunker on #16 had basically no playing layer – it was basically just machine-scraped hardpan; the greenside bunker fronting #18 had better sand, allowing a normal escape.

Saw a big coyote walking down #7, then heard a lot of pack howling down below the #15 tee. Several greens on the back nine are very challenging as they are severely perched and missing short results in long runouts off the front of the green. The course uses a R/W/B flag rotation – all of the par-5s (1,7,10,13) had red flags today – no imagination on flag placement.

I generally enjoy this course as I think it plays shorter than the card as many of the longer holes play downhill. Conditions have been up and down over the years as the course has had a variety of owners. Glad to see conditions improved from the past and improvements to facilities over the last couple years are evident. Recommended.

Played 11/1/23 @ 712am with the Underpar coupon. It was really cold when we started but then warmed up nicely. Tee boxes were good and they were in the middle of mowing them in the morning. Fairways have good to great coverage with no bare spots. There were a few soggy spots though. Rough was a little longer than the fairway and was well differentiated the way they were mowing everything. Sand in the bunkers was really nice, in the morning they seemed really heavy- they got fluffier on the back 9. At least in the 4 traps I was in.
Greens were good and firm and it was hard to stop the ball on them. They have healed well after the punching. They have a temporary green on #5 (par 3) that the pro shop or the starter didn't tell us about. I thought we should at least get a break in the price, but no... Conditions were quite nice except for that par 3.

Played there today. Great weather and great conditions. A couple greens you can tell they are working on but over all great place to Golf. Friendly Staff and you can tell they are moving forward with the recovery from pervious years. Place looks way better then a year ago. Can't wait to see all that they accomplish in another 6 months. Meantime very playable course that is challenging for a descent price. Food in club house is on point. Plenty of draft options with a full bar. Will definitely be back.

DO NOT waste your time here. Many greens are dead and or have dead areas. Literally weeds growing in the middle of the greens. Very frustrating to have to putt through dirt, dead grass and weeds in trying to sink a 5 footer. Its a shame--otherwise a nice, challenging layout with great design and views. What is going on guys? Go to temporary greens and get an expert in there--you'll save customers in the long run!

Played Wednesday morning. Checked in with no mention that some of the greens were being sanded and no discounted green fees due to the conditions. Some greens were thin and heavily sanded. Greenside bunkers appear to have sand but is hardpan underneath. Fairways have grown back and are better than I have seen it .
I would wait to play here until maybe a month for the greens to get settled. Not worth full rack rate at this time.

Bit of late review. Back out to Glen Ivy. Conditions about the same as when I played last time. Greens not as quick, but were OK. Still good coverage in the fairways. A few of the tee boxes were a bit beat up, but could always find a decent spot to stick the peg in the ground. Overall the course has improved from where is was lat year, which is appreciated.

Staff as always was accommodating and friendly. Enjoy this course because it has a bunch of fun holes. Every time I play here, I think how tough it would be to attempt to walk it.
