A little expensive for the drive but an interesting track. I liked the different holes I think there was 18 of them.

I'm sorry, but for the rates here this could be the very best course around, seriously i've played up & down the state u name it & i can't recall a better layout (well that 1 funky hole,but..)and pace. the greens are like billiard tables & knucleheads that's how they should play! to me I want a course that's challenging so that i'd never get bored and this one's for me. that's whyon my drive from lake tahoe to LA, i stop here for the 1/2way break & catch the twilight which is to me the best w/ the sun setting over the valley.lot's of cool bird sitings too.the staff here is very congenial & hey for all u at other club houses who get off on attitude - take a lesson from these guys who show some hospitality & common sense.even though i was a single, they treated me w/ respect. u know what i learned from the hospitality biz? treat singles better, they're the travlr's who get the word out to others in other parts unknown. so here's to you SR! keep up the great work.

The native grasses lining all fairways thrive on the water the fairways receive, if your ball rolls even an inch off the rough it disappears never to be found in the lush, deep, carpet of native grasses. By far the most penal course in that regard. But the good news is that there is plenty of fairway to hit. The greens all have false fronts that look just like the green from a distance. Massive greens mostly enlongated with plenty of undulations. Decent roll on greens. A flat, mostly treeless, quiet layout with no homes. Everything is done well here, great range with complimentary balls, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Tee boxes, fairways, greens in great shape. Ideal course for a tournament. Yes, a nice course, not 4 1/2 stars, better than most courses you will find, lacks true signature holes, hit it in the fairway and it's not too tough. Mosquitoes in August and can be windy.

Wow! I've played a lot of golf, a lot of places, but never have I seen more difficult greens. Rock hard , fast, and undulating. (Lots of 3 putts for me , and I thought I was a good putter) Nice track, but not a 4 1/2 star as Golf Digest suggests. Played many many better. Plus a long way off the freeway. Glad I played it - won't be back though!

Played on Saturday, March 25th. The course was in pretty good shape. No dead spots and the tee boxes were in great shape. It rained just before we tee'd off, but cleared by time we started. Unfortunately, after the rain passed, the winds picked up. We suffered through some major gusts of up to 35mph. Whats worse, the greens had been punched three weeks prior and the residual sand made the greens very bumpy and difficult to read. Notwithstanding the weather and greens, the course is in great shape. Be sure to ask if there are any tournaments in front of you. We suffered back-ups on every single hole we played. Super slow on Saturdays behind tournaments. Be sure to ask about the greens and any tournaments before going out. Must've been a 5.5 hr. round.

Although it had been raining recently, the course was in excellent condition except for the tee boxes. This is one of the better courses in Northern CA to play. Actually played on 12/27/05

They were aerating the greens yesterday during our round but the holes were tiny and it didn’t effect our putting much. Great course! Great shape!
