Played 9 holes on Course 2 yesterday at 3pm, joining a local for a relaxed round on a pleasant, breezy, sunny day. LWV is in their maintenance cycle right now – Course 1 is closed this week and we could see some of the sanded greens during our round. Course 2 will be closed for punch/sand next week, and the greens on 2 today were pretty firm and released most shots. Lots of ballmarks on the greens as it appears players are letting next week’s maintenance take care of their damage. Course 3 will be punched the week of 9/22, and the par-3 course the following week.

A blustery wind made things more challenging yesterday as many of the lower-handicap holes play uphill and/or into the wind. Decent pace of a little over 2 hours for the nine – Course 2 is the most spread-out of the 3 nines. Overall conditions were consistent with earlier reviews.

Played yesterday. This is a great course that somehow does not get the recognition it deserves like many in the Denver area. Its the home course for CO PGA so its always in great shape and always rated in the top 10 within CO. Great challenge with all the elevation changes and the fast greens (they were at 11). Never had a bad tee box. Fairways had great roll out and lies and the elevation of 6800 certainly helps your distance. The rough and OB and some water features are killers. Bunkers (all) playable. Greens are large and undulating but chip/putt just great. Terrific customer service. The course is S of Denver on I 25 about 45 miles. Well worth the trip if you are in the area. Highly recommended.

Played here yesterday. 806 tee time. Played the front laser fast as a 4some. Back 9 we caught the early groups and got a little sluggish. Tee boxes are ok, some holes are kinda crappy. Bunkers looked ok but I also wasn't in any of them. Fairways are hit and miss but standard for Whittier. The greens though. They were really smooth and rolled very well. Some times there's a trade off at these local courses. You either get one or the other but the greens being solid makes this place more tolerable. It is a little spendy at 60 bucks when this place was 45 to play some years ago. Its not like they beautified the course to warrant the prices. Still a decent place for the Pasadena area and a better value than Brookside.

Played SC Muni on 9/10/25.

Fairways have dropped a notch since I last played here. But last time - fairways were fantastic, so no where to go but down a notch. Still mostly very good, but there are several spots that were dried out and thin - not a surprise for late summer heat. Same for the rough, which is normal for Muni.

Greens - I don't know if they have a new formula, but the greens are amazing right now. Shockingly green and plush for late summer. Usually this time of year, they are getting dried out and dangerously fast. This year they are just so green and plush and smooth. Kudos to the SC staff.

Still my highest "bargain" recommendation.

Course has not had any regular cut of rough for three months. Expect to be very frustrated on anything not on fairway and lose 3/4 balls. Fairways and greens good. It plays like a “target
Course”. On most holes there is a 120-150 yard forced carry over rough to fairways.

Played Wed 9/10, 8:45 tee time, 4:15 round. Pleasant day, in the high 70s. Course in decent muni shape. Greens a little bumpy, running a slow 10... fix the bumps and they ran true. Fairways decent... a few spots of unfilled divots, but all playable... bunkers ok. Tee boxes below average. course is always fun to play. Had a good time.

Played mon 9/8, 11am, 4:30 round. nice sunny day, a little warm... windy to start but died down by the turn. Course in good shape. A few areas of disrepair, but overall very playable. greens a little bumpy, but ran well. speed about a 10. course in good muni shape. Haven't been out here in years, so fun to get out. Restaurant is good. Had a good time.

Played Tuesday, September 9, around 7:30 am. We started on time and played in 3:55, nice pace. Sometime I am going to remember that the driving range is closed on Tuesday am. I had to work out my issues on the course, which did not help my score. Professional starter who dealt expeditiously with an issue on the first tee. The snack stand was not open when we went to #3 but it was open around 9:30 am when we made the turn.

The course is in pretty good shape. The fairways were shaggy. I had to laugh on 14 when I tried to figure out if I was in the fairway because I realized I had not been in the fairway much before that so I did not have much frame of reference. The answer was, yes, but the grass was so long it was not easy to be sure. I think it was more shaggy on the back nine than the front. The rough was lush and definitely a factor. I was in the sand a bunch and they were a mixed bag. Thin mud in at least one and nice sand in a couple of others. The tees were good. The greens were good also although I have seen them better. Certainly they can be faster, they were medium or a little faster as the day got hotter. They were also hand watering them so that may be a reason they were slower than expected.

Overall, I have seen it better but I have also played on worse lately. I had a good time and will be back.

wow!! what can you say negative about this place? Nothing really. Played an event there yesterday for the first time. What an amazing course and facility. Tee boxes, greens, sand traps , all of it. The layout was interesting fun and challenging. The greens were like the putting green in the store. The view excellent. If you can ever get a chance to play this place, for sure play it. One of my new favorites.

Yes, yes, yes, I know. I know the fairways suck. I know it gets muddy and soggy. Tee boxes are still more level than Santa Anita. The greens and around the greens though are excellent. The greens rolled so well Sunday and the condition would have been better if people fixed their pitch marks. Go there to work your driver , go there for the breeze. Its still golf but going and expecting more than what it was supposed to offer is unreasonable.

Nothing really different other than the Stone nine had a few holes under repair with the tee boxes being moved up to shorten the already shortest nine hole layout. We weren't informed OF the construction upon check in or when we booked online?

Out early in the dark at 5:55 Monday on a really pleasant morning. Rather busy, so nice to get out ahead of the crowds. (Despite the fact it was pitch black out and I could not see until #4, there was a single and twosome in front of me) Dealing with Ruth in pro shop is always a positive way to begin the day here.

I was impressed with the overall condition of the course, particularly the fairways. Greens were good, (Except the rear portion of #5) but slower than I remember them being. Bunkers were thin but were maintained. Always enjoy my rounds at Dos Lagos, and compared to other courses, still decently priced.
