Made a morning-of tee time for 12:50, Friday 10/10 and went out as one of three singles playing the whites. I've played here more in the last year because it is a go-to for last minute tee times. I'd say the conditions were about what you would expect this time of year. The fairways were mostly decent with coverage, but not without the bare patches you might expect after a long summer and before the rainy season. I wouldn't expect lush here and I was fine with it. The rough had examples of both more lush and more dry areas, but mostly it is not penalizing. I missed any bunkers but my playing partner's limited experience in them indicated firm. The green surrounds were more often greened up and good for chipping. First time in about 25 years I chipped in for birdies twice in a round. Greens were good shape, running at medium pace and minimal pitch marks. The course is very forgiving in its generally flat expansiveness and in that respect lower stress than some. I had a better than average round for me and so came away with few complaints about the course or conditions. Know before you go and I pretty much knew before I went.

As an aside, when reserving my tee time, the site showed only one available, which I took, but when I got there right before my time, they said I'd be playing alone because the threesome didn't show up. Fortunately, by the time they announced me on the first tee a few minute later, they had added couple of names and we went out as a threesome. It turned out to be a good number and the young man and woman were both excellent company. Any inadequacies about the conditions seems incidental and it was one of those rounds where the game and the company came together for a particularly enjoyable round.

Played at noon on Saturday. I had heard from fellow golfers that JC Golf had put a lot of money into this course, and it was a much better value than its Eagle Crest days. I don't think I've played this course in 15 years, its condition as Eagle Crest had left a bad taste in my mouth.

Green fees were $79, which included the cart. No range, it looks like they would need to put tall fencing up to get the old range area open again. Fairway and rough conditions were pretty bare, a lot of brown and dirt areas. The greens were extremely soft and brutally slow (apparently they were punched a few weeks ago). I had an 80 foot putt in the 15th hole which may be the hardest I've ever hit a putt, and yet still came up 15 feet short. Some sand in the bunkers, but not much, maybe an inch worth.

No water on the course, but there was both a water cart and a small beverage cart that came around a couple of times. It was much needed, as it was still fairly warm in mid-October. Staff was friendly and polite. Apparently there was a tournament in the morning that slowed play down, and multiple times we drove up to a tee box with the group ahead of us still waiting to tee off. We ended up having a 5hr 10 min round.

I'll probably wait another year or so until I return. It's nice to see a course on the rebound, but it's not quite to the level where I want to spend more money.

Can't remember when I was able to play 3times in one week! Played Dos Osos this morning, Sunday, 7:20am tee time. Customer service as always is great here. No frills proshop but the guys working the counter this morning were awesome, very friendly. Tried to get us to buy the JC card, but it's difficult for me to justify as most of the courses are an hour+ to the north of me. It is a good value, though. We were charged $79 to ride. I'd say it's still a little overpriced for the conditions but work continues to get done and they're trying very hard to bring this course back to its luster.

White tees were fairly level, but coverage was not good. Lots of dirt and different mixes of grass/weeds/clover. Not a huge deal breaker, but just made you take some extra time to look for a good stance.

Fairways are showing some signs of life in most proper landing areas, but tons of horrible areas, as well. We played the ball down, but I highly recommend lift clean and place in the fairways right now.

Rough was a similar situation as the fairways. Showing some signs of promise, but I'd say over half the rough is dirt/weeds/clover. Mixed bag of what kind of lie you might get. It could be anywere from a perfect lie to absolutely deplorable.

I didn't find any bunkers, but they looked ok. A few of them looked wet and had some standing water from sprinklers, but most of the sand looked fluffy and fairly new.

Greens are still healing from aeration a couple weeks ago. Very bumpy and shaggy on the front. Super slow!!! Pretty frustrating on the front nine for sure. But they got better as you played through the back nine. 16, 17 and 18 greens were actually pretty good, on the verge of being very good. This will be a true test if all the work on the course will pay off. These greens should all be in great shape in another 3-4 weeks. I will be anxious to get back out there next month to see.

POP right at 4hrs. Marshall doing a great job keeping pace going.

I've always loved this course, played Eagle Crest before any homes were even built. It's just a super fun layout. No parallel fairways, elevation changes, water features, etc. It's got great bones, now let's see if JC Resorts can bring it back. Easy recommend.

Played yesterday, Saturday, 3pm teetime, $38 to walk with my buddy's JC resort rate. POP was 3.5hrs, didn't feel rushed and didn;t feel slow, perfect pace with a little wait in at the turn, played East-South nines. The north was closed for aeration and they keep two nines open. Conditions were average to slightly above average for everything.

Guy in the proshop was awesome!! Very friendly and just a pleasure checking in. Starter was great, too.

Teeboxes were fairly level with quite a bit of divot damage and bare spots, but not a huge problem finding a decent area after searching for a few seconds. They're pretty small and narrow.

Fairways were soggy but had good coverage. A little shaggy, but not a huge deal.

Sandtraps were 50/50, some were great and others were GUR, super wet and unraked. I found one greenside bunker and it was ok, but the wife had to toss hers out a couple times for unplayable wet compact sand.

Greens were all ok. They were very soft and held shots well, but they were bumpy and there was too many unrepaired pitch marks because of the softness.

Rough was fairly lush and penal.

It's a good course to walk with the wives every once in a while, but I wouldn't place it in regular rotation. Fun community and good for the retirees out there. Challenging walk with the hills and a lot of par 3's play quite long. You'll use just about every club in your bag. It's a decent value, but not going to provide any wow factor. For sure recommend if you've never played it but I'm in no hurry to go back unless my wife demands it.

Played on Wednesday, October 8 around 9:00 am. POP was around 4.5 hours. Not great but not unexpected either. Busy day but the staff was courteous.

The course is in better shape. It is getting more water and the fairways were greened up. Nice to see. They were placing new sand in the green side bunker as we finished #9 and we noticed there was new sand at #18 also. The greens were good. Fast side of medium. Overall, the course is improved over what it has been for the last few months.

I am cautiously optimistic that the course is coming back to where it should be. I had a good time.

Headed back out to Diamond Bar this week with two friends including my buddy who is a member at Hacienda and had never played DB before. I was very curious what his thoughts would be after the round and he was quite impressed - calling it even better than another one or two local private clubs he plays regularly.

I definitely enjoy the course as well, especially with all of the new improvements and layout changes, but there are still some needs that should be addressed. First off, the freeway work is still ongoing and it's a real challenge on some of the holes in terms of noise and just distraction. I can't wait for all the road work to be truly finished to see this course at its best.

There were also no marshals at all on the course and at one point, while on the green at the 12th hole, we noticed two entire holes (15 and 16) were empty as a group of drunk guys casually rode down the fairway. They were literally holding up all the groups behind and my friend let them have it, but in truth, he shouldn't have to if the course is being properly marshaled. As the new Diamond Bar grows in popularity, this needs to be addressed to avoid what turned out to be a five-hour round.

On the positive side, the recently punched greens are looking quite well but I fear that the message about fixing ball marks is not being stressed enough. The greens are all in great shape if weren't for so many little pock marks everywhere from lazy golfers simply not bothered enough to fix their damage. I think I fixed at least two or three on each hole (and I played so poorly that I know none of them were mine!). It's a shame because they could really be top notch with just the slightest amount of attention from the clientele.

Fairways are in good shape with a few thin/dry areas, but for the most part you're getting plenty of good lies. When you're off with your shots though, there are a lot of mulch and wood chip areas between holes that are going to give you a hard time. Tee boxes were all in good shape (played the blue tees) and the rough was very playable and fun. The bad? The bunkers are very thin. I tried to play a standard bunker shot on the second green and my club bounced on the surface just underneath to rocket out fifty yards. I played all subsequent bunkers as chip shots instead to keep my sanity. This needs to improve.

We had great cart service all afternoon and that was quite nice, while the carts themselves are very basic with no GPS or any other specialty items. The snack shop across from the starter is pretty good but had a limited selection on this day because the cook called in sick. Whatcha gonna do?

So definitely a few wrinkles that need ironing out but still Diamond Bar is a much-improved facility that was more than worth the $65 greens fee. A very good value still for the nice golf experience overall that was provided.

The previous reviews from our event about the course conditions and high level of customer services we received are spot on with mine, so I’ll give a golf course event organizer perspective.

I was fortunate to able to plan this event on short notice with Classic Club as it’s a very popular golf destination in Palm Desert, CA. Outside services from bag drop, starter and club cleaning we’re professional and friendly. Upon arriving the proshop had our F & B Vouchers and Classic Club Golf Towels ready for me to hand out. Some of our players arrived before me in which case I was immediately informed (always helpful). Our tee times were on-time despite a sold-out tee sheet with excellent pace of play. After playing, tables were set up prior to group 1 finishing which I tasked with retrieving the prizes boxes and post-round set up. Big thanks to mpiskarski, circaflex, itslikeimsayin and Adam. It was nice to be able to play all 18 and not feel rushed to set-up.

I’ll be working with Classic Club and Micheal Reese again for a 2026 event!

Got to get out here a couple weeks ago with a buddy who is a member. We teed off around 2:30 and were able to sneak in 18 holes walking - we played the North/South 9s. Overall a fun course that's going through some major renovations. They have 27 holes on the property but 9 were getting redone and 1 of the holes on one of the 9s was also getting redone. The course was bought a couple years ago and it's getting some major face lifting which will be fun to see.

Driving range was closed as part of their renovations, got there too late to anyway. They just recently installed a brand new massive putting green (12,000 sq ft) which looked awesome and then separately also had a little 9 hole mini-golf-esque putting green.

Tee boxes were level and in pretty good shape, minimal bare spots with good coverage. Fairways were pretty lush and mostly green, this was mid-september so probably coming through the dry summer still. Rough wasn't very penal, moderate coverage but not overly lush. Bunkers were in good shape with nice sand and coverage. Greens were in great shape, mostly green and rolling well, fairly soft and not super quick.

Overall a great track, looking forward to seeing the new 9 when it's finished later this year. Would happily play it again if invited back. Not an overly difficult course but has some good holes and a fun layout.

Had the opportunity to play here through a friend of a friend who is a member. Place is spectacular, clubhouse is very impressive and the grounds were fantastic. One of those places where you almost feel like you're out of place it's so nice.

The range is all grass with premium range balls (I forget but I think they were ProV1s). The grass was pretty good, slightly patchy but it was the afternoon so it already had a decent amount of use. Better than anything I've found public so still A+ regardless.

A couple putting greens to roll a few which were nice and in good shape. I didn't make it to the short range/chipping area but those looked nice too.

Tee boxes were all level and lush, no obvious bare spots. Plenty of different tees too to vary the difficulty. Fairways were in great shape, very green with minimal bare spots. Rough was also fairly lush but not too penal. Bunkers were a tiny bit thin for me (maybe it was the type of sand) but good coverage in the ones I was in. Greens were in great shape, some old ball marks here and there but otherwise they rolled really well and were FIRM - took some time adjusting to their firmness on approach shots and even chips.

Overall great course, lots of interesting holes and decisions to be made off the tee. Can be as challenging as you want it to be with the different tees and some awesome views on the back 9 as you climb up. The back 9 has much more elevation than the front and plays very differently. Highly recommend if you ever get the chance!

2 stars out of 5. Fairways two many spots filled with water and mud, bunkers a mix of dirt, weeds and water. Greens ok for now a little fast but rolling pretty true. Carts, nice, but today as happens too often here the GPS says to the pin, but more than half the holes the pins were not where the GPS said they were (guess no one knows how to set that feature when they move the holes). Have played the course for years and like the layout of the Legends side but it just keeps getting worse.

With Alhambra torn up through Oct I decided to play here this morning. I did 18 holes walking in 3 H.

The course is in terrific shape. Every tee box is level and clean. Fairways (though damp) had great lies and good roll out.

Very little if any rough to deal with outside the fairways and around the greens.

Traps had adequate sand and the one I was in played just fine.

They punched a few weeks ago and you would not know that unless you asked. The greens were just excellent for chipping, putting, holding shots but a tad slow with the dampness in the AM. I am sure they are much faster later in the day given the great condition they are in.

They have lowered their rates since they opened and charged me $32 to walk. Which I felt was very fair given the conditions I was met with. They are also running specials on the website if you are interested.

The now have a beautiful outdoor area with 2 huge TV screens along with many tables to sit at. A brand new bar area serving food and cocktails. And firepits/chair as well. Very well done IMO.

No driving range but they do have a large putting green.

The only complaint I would have is that there are no porta toilets on the course and the only bathrooms are at the clubhouse. I can already see that as a problem (LOL).

Was just informed more aeration on Oct 22 and course will be closed.
