Played in a charity event on Sat. All I want to say is if I paid $180 rack rate I would have been mad at the conditions.

The fairways were a mix of brown and green grass, some bare areas, but the worst was they must not have been mowed in at least a week. So many different lengths depending on where you ended up in the fairway; it truly was a crapshoot. Rough was not much different. The marshal said that in the last 2 weeks the course really went brown. They do water the heck out of it, as there were muddy spots here and there. Sand traps seemed decent, but we were in a scramble, so we did not play from them. Greens were the highlight as they were lush and soft, rolling at a medium pace. Not too many ball marks either.

Staff were very friendly and really helped run a 120-person shotgun. Bev carts came around at least 4 times, Water coolers were abundantly available, and the carts were good with a nice GPS.

For the rate they charge its hard to swallow the conditions right now. Course needs a mow at least.

Played early this AM. Beautiful morning for golf.

Course was very very damp as we have hot weather coming so lots of water being put on the course. That was the only negative of the round.

Tee boxes were just great.

Fairways are lush with great lies all round but just no rollout.

Rough was sticky and wet and tough to play out of.

Traps all clean and lucky to stay out of them as they all looked damp.

Greens were mowed in front of me so we had great chipping putting all round which was great.

Excellent service in the pro shop.

This was the first stop on my buddy and I's western Washington/Seattle area golf trip. We stayed at his grandparent's place in Fall City, and teed off at The Home Course at 9:15 the next morning. I had only heard good things about this place going in, but it only got better once we actually arrived.

Views - 17/20
Upon entering the course, I immediately understood that this course was going to be very nice. The big black gates out front, the course name in big steel lettering, and the landscaping lining the driveway were just the first impression of what we were getting into. The course itself featured simple, yet beautifully pure landscapes. It felt as if I was walking through a page of Golf Digest. If I had to describe the overall look of the course in two words, it would be modest prestige. It did not feature anything absolutely breathtaking or jaw dropping, but the attention to detail in the small things made me feel right at home.

Service - 19/20
The service we received at The Home Course was excellent and felt genuine. The two in the pro shop were very kind and told us everything we needed to know. They felt like they really cared about us having a good experience. The starter/marshal also turned out to be a decent guy. At first I thought he was going to be upset with us because we didn't know where the first tee was, and he had to come up to the putting green to find us. It also turned out we were the pacing twosome that day, so no pressure. Luckily there was a slow foursome behind us, so we had no trouble keeping up pace. In the fairway of hole 7 we saw him driving up toward us, and immediately I began racking my brain to think of what we must have done wrong. Instead of lecturing us though, he told us we were doing great on pace, asked how we were liking the course, and where we were from. Overall, he was the one who made round.

Condition - 18/20
The Home Course's condition was top tier. The fairways were perfect, lined with a thicker than usual rough, and tall fescue. The bunkers were soft, with the greenside ones being sod-lined, something I personally don't see very often at home. The greens rolled great, with challenging breaks that are definitely a factor in your approach. The course did feature trees, but most the time they weren't really a factor. Off the tee it was quite open, then challenging around the greens, which I loved.

Clubhouse - 18/20
I really liked the clubhouse at The Home Course. There were two strikingly white, modernized colonial-style buildings with black accents. The clubhouse felt like a statement piece, as they all should be. It told me that this course was going to be very good quality, but that I could also sit down and have a drink with my friends after the round and enjoy the view and the company. The only downsides were that it was relatively small, and I wish the restaurant and pro shop could have been connected. Overall an amazing building, definitely one of my favorites.

Practice Facilities - 17/20
First off, we did not arrive early enough to use the range, but from a distance I could tell that it was grass and had plenty of bays, which is all I can ask out of a range. The putting green was very large, and had every kind of break that you would find on the course. On top of that, there was a smaller putting green right next to the first tee, just in case you're held up and need to kill some time or work something out. Either way, this was a very nice touch. The chipping green also looked excellent. It featured 3 giant bunkers to practice sand shots, and 3 pins on the green itself. Overall very good, and featured everything you would need to get an effective practice session.

The Home Course - 8.9/10
I really enjoyed my round at The Home Course. If I lived in the area I would heavily consider looking into a membership there, and I am definitely going to play it again next summer!

Back out again this week at E course for early round before heat arrives. $47 w cart for Sr is a decent price IMO given the conditions of this course.

Tee boxes all clean and playable.

Fairways great coverage with good lies and rollout even though the course was damp early AM.

Rough was high and difficult to advance very far with the grass length and dampness.

Traps all damp and some with standing water from overnight watering but not in any so all OK.

Greens were being mowed in front of us and we never had a damp green to putt on. Made for good chipping/putting all round.

Excellent customer service in the shop.

Recommended if you are in the area or visiting.

Our second event of 2026 at The Oaks Club at Valencia was again a success. The playing conditions are much improved from 2024-2025. I was informed playing conditions are a higher priority than in past years with the superintendent of Valencia CC (sister course across the highway) playing an active role in addition to the current turf management team. GDR23 provides an excellent breakdown in his review I agree with. Summed up, The Oaks Club at Valencia provided smooth, medium-speed greens (a little wet in spots due to the heat wave) and holding shots. I was impressed with the fairways in particular. The reason I held off on booking an event in 2025 was because of the dry, browning fairways we experience in the summer of 2024. Well, that’s been resolved. The summer fairways were in great shape. Lush, firm and providing excellent lies. The rough had some thin spots but overall lush and cut down to 3 inches. Bunkers were in good shape with quality sand. The tee boxes were level, mostly lust with some moderate divot damage. Overall, the course was in great shape.

From an event organizer standpoint, The Oaks Club at Valencia has an terrific staging area featuring a large driving range, practice putting, practice short-game, clubhouse, snack-bar and cart staging area all conveniently located in close proximity to each other.

I am already looking in to booking a couple events for 2027. Recommended!

I finished my marathon of golf in July with a course that is in my top 5 out of the 512 courses I have played in my 43 years of "looking for my ball", Rams Hill. The only 9 is the fairways. 10's all around. Regarding fairways, I admit I am spoiled. The best fairways are in Japan where the 4 seater carts never go in the fairways. But given the fact that carts ride in the fairways at Rams Hill the fairways are in wonderful shape. It is like playing on carpet. I felt bad for taking a divot and running out of sand fill. The greens are slow this time of year. They run at a 9 on the stimp meter. The ball rolled so true. You just have to give it a little extra. The staff is friendly. I received electro-lite powder, shaved ice, and frozen grapes while playing. Perfect in the 110 degree heat. The game is definitely easier when conditions are this nice.

We played here July 23 and the course was in fantastic condition. It's got some of the best greens in the area, both receptive and smooth. Outstanding practice areas, I always appreciate a good short game area like it has.
The course is fantastic as it always was, of course we'd all love to have all 18 holes back but that's not going to happen, so let's not lose this beautiful 9 holer. We're very lucky to have it back in play.
We played 9 twice to make an 18 hole round, and everyone found it interesting to compare how we played the holes each time. You don't get to do this much, it was quite informative. I'd strongly encourage everyone to support this beautiful unique place, come out and play!

Played yesterday. Finally got a decent cool day and no wind. Playing here in the wind is very difficult given the location of the course being in the flat farmland of Solano County.

Tee boxes all playable.

Fairways still have good coverage lies and decent rollout.

Rough is dry and playable.

Traps are in playable condition.

Greens are all in good shape and chip/putt just fine and hold and release shots as well. Almost all of them are elevated from the fairway and bunker guarded. A good iron game is necessary here as well as good wedge play.

Good customer service in the shop.

Course has a good driving range putting green and practice area as well.

Good food and great prices in the little grill on site.

Still reasonably priced for civilians veterans retired military compared to other courses in the area. Also it is not on the base so easy access.

7/21/26 10:27 Tee time. Arrived early enough to hit the new practice range. Never practiced on these soft matts w/unique recessed tee holder. Feels much more like actually stricking thru ball into "grass". Putting green (small) is very near first Tee, and in good order. Some tee boxes ( we play mens) are showing wear stress but level. Fairways are wonderful, lush at times soft. Well marked ground under repair areas. Rough 2-4 ", playable. Wide fairways not much tree trouble at all here. Greens soft, rolling just right and healthy! Thankyou Greens keeper! Sand is very playable, with many to avoid. Carts newer w/ice bucket mounted and full. Must be a couple miles of concrete paths here. Marshall and beverge service always near, restrooms avaliable thru the track. One hole did bother me. #16 I believe at par 4 280 yds. Blind tee ball will end up in a linear pile of rocks (probably to prevent ball rolling 20-40 yards down slop) or slope will bounce U down sideways into a narly scrub bush, unlikly to find ball! Stratagey is long iron to center fairway stake from now on. Can't wait to come back now that I understand some of the design features. This place is top shelf golf without the country club costs, very comfortable bar w/outdoor patio. Nice pro shop, Thanx Tony and Shaun for taking some time to chat, appreciate that kind of attention. Best golf I've had in many months! Highly recommend Eagle Glen, don't overlook this beautiful setting.

Played Tuesday, July 21, tee off at 2:50pm. My buddy is a member and arranged an afternoon time just after the AJGA finished their first day of their three day tournament. Can't believe the kids have to walk this course, it's a pretty brutal walk, especially from the blue tees!

Course conditions are good to great all around. Tees were all very level with excellent coverage. No problems at all finding a nice spot to place it.

Fairways were very nice. Excellent coverage. Some darker brown spots here and there, but overall beautiful and had excellent cushion with perfect amount of roll out.

Traps needed a little bit of help, especially around the edges where the sand was rock hard and very firm. The flat/bottom parts of the traps were fine, however, and that's where the ball should end up most of the time.

Rough isn't too penal and there's not a lot of it. Once you get off the fairway, you're going to be in riparian areas under heavy trees. It's a great course with tons of trouble off the fairways, so stay on the fairways

Greens were good and on the verge of great. They held shots very well and putted relatively smoothly. Quite a few ball marks and they were medium to fast speed. No complaints.

Guest fees run around $125 and this is well worth it. POP is not going to be a problem, we finished in just under 4hrs as a foursome.

Customer service was excellent. We had a drink in the clubhouse just prior to the round. It was already closed when we finished.

Great course and highly recommend if you get an opportunity to play. It's very tight with lots of doglegs. Very comfortable carts have good GPS that is critical to use.

Played GCC Fallbrook early on 7/21. Out at 6:00am, had to race around before an 8:30 shotgun started. Surprised they wouldn't warn you of that when you booked. But I made it around and done before 8:00, so all good.

This was my first time back here in a few years, and first time since JC Golf took over. They have done some turf reductions, so staying on the short grass is more important now.

Conditions are very good right now. I got ahead of the maintenance crew, so the greens were a bit shaggy, but still rolled well. Fairways in good shape. Tees mostly good, although several had been overrun by weeds. Playable, but I suspect a full redo is needed on those boxes.

Sand traps were very nice. Rough - a lot of it is now harpan due to the turn reduction. Balls can run away for days on that, so stay away.

Still a great track. Looks like they are offering a players card (comparable to the Palm Card at Arrowood) that gives a nice weekday rate. Might have to keep that in mind.

North Course just reopened after having closed for a week to aerate the greens. I was most impressed how well they have recovered in less than one weeks' time. A little bumpy, and obviously much slower than normal, they were still very puttable. The rest of the course remains in overall excellent condition. The modest renovation of the 17th hole is a real positive and makes that hole so much more enjoyable to play.
